Gordon and his team immediately stood up, "No time to lose, let's move out now. Jimmy, call for backup."
Jimmy also got up, "Understood." He followed Gordon out. Noah remained seated until Jimmy and the others had all left before he rose to his feet.
Noah: "This case got delayed by a whole night, I hope it doesn't cause any issues."
Kerry: "No, I've already rerouted Joseph's calls to our system. As soon as Camel makes the call, we will be able to simulate Joseph's responses, the voice data was recorded yesterday."
Noah: "Alright, keep an eye on the warehouse, and make sure the engineers don't move the bomb quietly before they arrive on scene."
Kerry: "Got it."
The two arrived at the surveillance center, where monitors were already displaying the feed from the warehouse area.
While driving, Jimmy called Hughes to request the bomb disposal squad's assistance, and Hughes promptly agreed. He also told Jimmy that he would have a SWAT support team on standby, ready to decide whether to come to the scene for support based on the situation they encountered.
After hanging up, Jimmy smirked. He was no stranger to the SWAT support team; if a real emergency unfolded on the scene, he wouldn't hold back, and would take down the perpetrator without giving them a chance to trigger the bomb.
Arriving at the warehouse area next to Brooklyn's cruise harbor, Jimmy and Gordon parked the car outside the warehouse district and proceeded on foot. Joseph's specified warehouse wasn't too far from the entrance. To avoid alarming those inside, they took a detour around the side and then approached the engineer's warehouse.
Luckily, Jimmy had already scoped out the situation inside the warehouse. Though he couldn't make out the goods, he was certain of the human figure, as it was moving and clearly not a mannequin. However, it was still unclear what he was up to or whether the bomb was still in the warehouse, let alone if it had been completed. All those were unknowns.
Gordon and Scott split up left and right, sticking to the sides of the warehouse's roll-up door. Joey pulled out a rectangular handheld device from his backpack, detached a tube, and slipped it under the gap at the bottom of the door. This was a handheld periscope, which featured a small display on the device showing the live feed from the camera at the top of the periscope. But the screen was too small for Jimmy to see without getting closer.
Joey nodded to indicate someone was inside, and Scott took out a small toolkit, squatting down to start picking the lock. Yes, this lock picking set looked familiar; Jones had one too, but regrettably, Jimmy had never learned the skill, so he never got to use the toolkit himself. It was mainly for intelligence officers, but field agents could apply to learn it as well.
Scott quickly finished the lock picking operation and gave a nod to Gordon. With both hands, Scott pushed up on the lower edge of the roll-up door, while Gordon had already drawn his gun, "FBI, don't move."
Jimmy kept his eye on the person inside. The sound of the door opening startled him, and he turned to look at the entrance. As Gordon shouted, the man immediately reached to pull open a drawer on the desk. By the time he opened the drawer, Gordon had him targeted.
The man's right hand drew a pistol from the drawer and aimed it toward the door, but Jimmy fired first, aiming for the man's right arm. Of course, to prevent accidentally killing him, Jimmy didn't use a revolver but a Glock instead. It packed less punch but minimized the likelihood of a fatal outcome. After all, a bomb case wasn't so easily resolved. If the suspect died and the clues were cut off, the complications would only increase.
Jimmy fired two shots, striking the man in the right arm and right shoulder, effectively disabling his rising arm. The gun he was about to raise fell to the ground as his grip loosened.
"Don't move, move again and next time it won't be just your arm," Jimmy shouted, gun aimed at the man.
The man held his right arm with his left, while Gordon also aimed at him. Scott quickly approached from the side, grabbed the left arm, and pulled it back, also reaching for the right arm to restrain him. Harry approached from the other side, pulling out handcuffs from behind and locking up the man.
It wasn't until then that Jimmy and Gordon lowered their guns, looking around the warehouse.
The warehouse wasn't large, about the same size as Abdul's, just tens of square meters. Goods were piled up along the walls, and in the middle, there were three tables arranged in an L-shape, topped with various devices.
"Engineer? You're under arrest."
