Anthony groaned, feeling the basket dig into his back. He forced himself to sit up and look around. The sky was clear and blue, making him surprised.
"Didn't I just go underground? Why is the sky visible from here?" He muttered, getting to his feet.
On closer inspection, the area where he fell into had closed up, making it seem as if he fell from the sky. His brows furrowed in a deep frown as he tried to find the entrance through which he came in.
"Damn it. Could it be that I triggered a, trap while running? If so, why am I not dead? I don't even feel a sense of danger."
He continued to walk around the area, intermittently looking at the sky.
"The sun looks real, and the rays reflect on my skin. It's not an illusion."
Realization suddenly dawned on him and he gasped wide eyed.
"Goodness me. Did I just roll into a detached world? This should be an independent space. Huo Fu probably doesn't know that such a place exists. And I must have triggered the portal by mistake. Did I get drawn into it because of the space laws sticking to me?"
That's right. After Anthony came out from the portal, his affinity with space law multiplied. Even though his cultivation was sealed, they still hovered around him anyway.
"Since this is an independent space and I mistakenly triggered the portal, where is the exit? It can be that I will be trapped here forever, right?"
At the thought of jumping from frying pan to fire, he quickly turned around to go deeper into the detached world.
He had barely walked ten steps when he came out to what looked like an orchard. The light glowing on the numerous fruits nearly blinded him, and he blinked severally. Once his eyes adjusted to the sight, his mouth dropped open in shock.
Anthony used his fingers to wipe his eyes making sure that he was not hallucinating due to blurry vision. But the orchard of divine fruits were real.
"No no no. I must be hallucinating. How can such a good thing exist in so much abundance? Isn't these fruits mythical? How come they're here? And they all look so mature and full of spiritual energy."
He began to scan the peripheral for traps, and barriers, while also examining it for illusion formations. Some formations would cover up something dangerous with the cloak of treasures, leading greedy people to their death. However, after ten minutes of careful examination, he couldn't find the semblance of a trap of formation. The only formation he saw was an energy gathering formation that gathers and traps the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, probably to hasten up the growth of the fruits.
Anthony entered the orchard and stopped before the first tree.
"Is this the legendary Taishan fruit?" He whispered, examining the tree before him. The fruits looked like a combination of peach and pomegranate with a radiant glow. The surface was brimming with spiritual energy, as if it would burst out at any time without warning.
The tree was broad and sturdy, and the leaves were shimmering with spiritual energy.
"Immortal dragon fruit, jade peach fruit, heavenly longan, Yuzhu fruit. Damn! Did I die and go to heaven? Why are all these mystical fruits here?" Anthony whispered, walking around the garden.
"The lowest quality here is one thousand years. Is that lucidity chrysanthemum over there claimed to heal brain tumor and mental impairment caused by Qi deviation?" Anthony ran over and immediately gasped, grinning from ear to ear.
"I must have saved the world in my past life. How can someone be this lucky?" He muttered, unable to close his mouth which was wide open from smiling too much. There were other herbs and flowers growing in patches and they were all of great quality.
He froze as he got to the middle of the garden.
"Qi-qilin fruit? Amazing."
He drifted towards it like someone drunk and took deep breaths of the heavenly scent.
The fruit which looks like a lychee but has dragon scales on it stood tall before him. Lots of fruits were scattered on the floor, but even more were on the tree. However, Anthony understood fully well that climbing the Qilin tree was prohibited. Otherwise, it would get angry and cause devastation. If the spirit formed from it was tame, it could choose to self-destruct.
Just as Anthony stretched out his hand to touch the tree, he felt a sharp pain to his chest and immediately stepped back. The pain relieved for a moment before coming back with full force. Soon, headache became a part of his suffering, making him extremely distressed. He kept stepping back till he left the area of the Qilin tree. He looked at the Qilin tree with a mixture of fear and awe.
"What just happened now? Is the Qilin trying to expel me and prevent me from picking its fruits? But on second thought, it felt like it was trying to wake up something inside my head." He muttered, patting his chest as he watched the Qilin tree from a distance away.
The answer hit him like a thunderbolt. The Qilin tree was brimming with spiritual energy, impacting the seal on him.
"That's right, with the level of spiritual energy running amok in this place, the seal will only do me more harm than good. This is the perfect place to undo the seal. The old man won't be able to see the heavenly manifestations or feel the sudden surge of energy. After I exit, I can find another way to hide my energy or create a camouflage."
With that said, Anthony began to look for a nice spot. He moved away from the orchard area to avoid mistakenly damaging the precious immortal fruits or receiving backlash from them. He found a tree alongside some strange grass and flower growing around it, and sat on a comfortable spot. After regulating his breathing, he began the ardours task of unsealing his cultivation. Sealing it was pretty easy, but un sealing his core, primordial veins and meridians was a different story altogether.
Soon, he began to sweat heavily despite the cool breeze from the field flowers around him. After an hour, he was still struggling with his primordial veins. He had unsealed his major meridians. But the seals on his core and primordial veins refused to budge no matter what, causing his energy to run amok. He spat out a mouthful of blood and winced, opening his eyes.
"Why can't I unseal my cultivation? Did I mistakenly cripple myself?" He whispered, cold sweat covered his forehead and he was filled with dread at the thought of mistakenly ruining his years of hard work.
