A few minutes later, Max could be seen out on the streets. His hands were tucked into his pockets as he let out a satisfied sigh, a small smile creeping onto his face.
He began walking back to the association, lost in thought while sorting through the notifications he had just received after the makeout session with the woman he had recently encountered on the streets.
{Congratulations! Host has just had sex for the first time in a while}
{Rewards for a successful makeout session calculated and distributed.}
{Rewards: +1000XP for getting the woman to have sex with you; +3000XP for cumming thrice; +2000XP for getting the woman to cum; +500XP for receiving a deep throat; +300XP for receiving a blowjob and a hand job.}
'Wow! This reward is beautiful. My XP stat, please.'
{XP: 14,160/15,000}
'Tsk! Sad thing that I didn't level up from this. Oh well! It's all good as it remains about 840XP for me to level up. But damn, it's still a long way from level thirty though. And let's not forget that with each level, the XP bar keeps increasing.
Soon enough, the quests I will be receiving won't even be enough to level me up again. Currently, it seems like sex is the fastest way for lots of XP since I can get XP from different activities. Hmm! Should I start sleeping with random women?'
"Yeah, do that. But don't complain to me when you get something bad from sleeping around," Pix chimed in suddenly, her sarcastic tone slicing into his thoughts.
"Yeah, that's right." Max shuddered and shook his head, quickly dispelling the dangerous thought from his mind.
'My best bet is to return to town and have some fun with my women.' The thought lingered in his head as he kept walking absentmindedly, not realizing how far he had gone until he found himself standing in front of his room.
Without hesitation, he pushed the door open and walked in with a sigh. His eyes instantly landed on Jake and Jim, who were currently in the middle of a serious discussion while holding up a huge paper that looked suspiciously like a treasure map.
"You guys planning a heist or robbery?" he joked, shutting the door behind him before slumping onto his bed.
"Yeah, something like that," Jake muttered, not even sparing him a glance as he pointed to a spot on the map. Jim nodded along while jotting down notes furiously.
"Wait, what?!" Max shouted, shooting out of his bed like a straight bamboo. He strode quickly toward them, his curiosity piqued.
But before he could reach their position, something else caught his eyes, making him pause mid-step. His brows furrowed in confusion.
"Huh? That wasn't here before," he muttered, walking toward the object. He realized it was a whiteboard, currently covered with sketches, drawings, and images, some crude and others surprisingly detailed.
"Huh? What are these?"
"Turns out Jim actually knows how to draw, sketch, and design," Jake said casually, still focused on the map as he pointed out another mark. Jim either shook his head or nodded in response before jotting something down.
"So?" Max asked, circling around to get a better look at what they were staring at.
"Have you forgotten? We just decided to form a gang. Won't we need to design a uniform or a symbol for us? Something the world would recognize us by," Jake finally replied, this time glancing up at Max with a small grin.
"That's true," the dragon said as he nervously rubbed the back of his hair, his claws lightly brushing against his scalp.
"So what do we got? And what are you people staring at?" he asked again, his tone holding a mix of curiosity and impatience.
"Well, we haven't decided on the colours of what our gang uniform would be, though. Honestly, we are kind of lost," Jim finally replied, his eyes flickering between the sketches on the whiteboard.
"And as for what we are looking at," Jake decided to take the second question, "once the uniform is ready, we'll need to go on our first operation. Right now, we are currently debating on which town we would hit first."
"Oh." Max muttered simply as he strode toward the whiteboard again, letting his eyes roam over the few designs they had made. Some looked simple while others were too flashy for his taste. "Why is it so hard to pick a colour when we already have one in our gang name?"
"Huh?" Jim muttered in confusion as he lifted his head.
"The gang name is The Crimson Scales, so why not add crimson to the uniform? Make it deep though, not a bright tone." Max explained, his finger tracing across one of the rough sketches.
"But crimson alone seems bland. I need something fashionable too," Jake chuckled, his tone carrying a hint of playfulness at the last sentence.
"Are you a girl?" Max asked in a mocking tone, tilting his head toward the hybrid before shaking it in amusement. He then glanced around the room, sighing lightly. "But I hear you. Red feels bland if it's the only colour."
"I got it." Jim suddenly snapped his fingers with a wide smile on his face. Without wasting a second, he pulled out his smartphone and began working on a design. "How about red and black?"
"Okay, okay, I'm liking that," Jake nodded along, his lips curving into a grin. Meanwhile, something else caught Max's attention.
His eyes narrowed as he stared at Jim's phone case, which had the image of a golden half-eaten avocado at the back.
"Make it red and gold, with streaks of black. That will be our colour," Max said firmly. He then looked up to see Jim frozen for a second, his eyes wide in surprise. "Huh? What happened? Is it something I said?"
"I should have not expected anything less from a dragon. That combination is… muah! Perfect." Jim exclaimed dramatically before quickly getting back to designing with renewed excitement.
"Now that we've decided on a colour, I'll get a tailor to work on the uniform for us. I'll also ask him to use the same material from our hunter's uniform, so we won't have a problem when transforming," Jake added while Jim's fingers moved rapidly across his screen.
"Ask him to also make a mask for the team. You came here to recruit some hybrids and humans, but do you think they'll be comfortable if their identities are out there for everyone to see?" Max suggested, his voice calm yet serious.
"I'll do that," Jake agreed immediately, his lips stretching into a wide grin.
"Great then. It's getting late, and I want to sleep," Max yawned loudly as he walked toward his bed. Without another word, he slumped into it, stretching his body before shutting his eyes.
