First and foremost, I am NOT stopping my writing.

And there was much rejoicing. "Yeeeah."

But it is time for my backstory. I read a lot of self-help books, cause I need a lot of help (No one who has read all my comments will deny that). Sometime in June of 2023, I came across an audiobook that challenged me to do something I was too afraid to do or something I thought was way beyond my capabilities. So, because I love writing but cannot write a sentence without at least one grammatical and one spelling error, I have never published anything I have written. So the stupid goal I came up with was either to make a million dollars in five years or publish a book on Amazon. I figured publishing a book would be harder. LOL. I just thought I would create a new book and do my first release on July 11, 2023, on Royal Road and see if anybody actually liked it. And what do you know, it turned out that more than five people liked my book. I have to admit that was very shocking to me.

October 16 of this year, I had another proverbial kick in the butt and decided to release book one on December 16th. So for the last month, I have been heavily editing the first book, trying to enhance the imagery and blocking. Also, reducing chapter length. Hopefully, I can fix some passing issues as well. After researching, I found that books around 100k do better on Amazon than those around 200k. Since I discovered there is no way I have time to rebuild my entire first book. I decided to split book one at Chapter 22 after the stewards' families' trial and put in an Epilogue. That only covers the first 11 days of his time on Marth, but I don't see where else to divide it without making it ridiculously long. I guess I could do it when he gets captured by the village after the Rabiss attacks them. (Now I am rambling)

Anyway, the point is that it is time to complete the goal I set for myself two and a half years ago. Any suggestions, criticisms, comments, or obscenities are welcome.

Funny thing. As I was editing book one, the final piece clicked into place, and now I know the whole story behind why the Bicman family was poisoned. It's only three books, and reviewing the first one to make it clear. I was completely blown away when I figured it out. I was beginning to wonder if I would ever figure it out. I told my wife and kids, and no one cared. Of course, none of them read my book, a fact that makes me laugh.
