Peach Blossom Divine Medical God

Chapter 1399: Arrangements for the Typhoon Night

At this moment, there were very few people on the village streets; most were staying indoors.

"Everyone should go back to your homes. Stay inside because it's too dangerous to be outside," Chen Yang said to Hei Pi and the others.

'Hey Yang Zi, some of us are still injured. Could you help us with treatment?' Hei Pi said, holding onto Chen Yang instead of leaving immediately.

Upon hearing this, Chen Yang remembered that they indeed still had injuries.

"Sure, come with me,"

Chen Yang immediately led them to the medical hall without hesitation. He helped bandage their wounds simply, and then they all left.

After sending off Hei Pi and his group, Chen Yang put down his hunting rifle and went to the office.

At this time, the four women were worried about him in the office.

Seeing Chen Yang return, they finally relaxed.

"Chen Yang! The typhoon is coming; why did you go to the mountains? We thought you were going to be trapped again; you scared us," Yang Ruoxi said, both happy and anxious upon seeing Chen Yang.

She chastised Chen Yang sharply.

Of course, her admonishment was more out of concern for him.

"Hei Pi and his group were on the mountain, so I went to notify them," Chen Yang explained.

"Hei Pi?" Upon hearing this, the four women realized the situation.

Knowing that Chen Yang went to notify Hei Pi and his group, they stopped blaming him.

"Did they all come down? The typhoon is about to hit," Yang Ruoxi asked with concern.

Chen Yang smiled and nodded, "They all came down and have gone back to their homes."

After answering Yang Ruoxi's question, Chen Yang turned to ask Li Han and Wu Kexin about their work.

He inquired whether they had notified all the village and construction team staff.

Li Han and Wu Kexin both nodded together, "We've already notified everyone, so don't worry."

"That's good, that's good." Hearing that everyone had been notified, Chen Yang finally felt relieved.

If anything went wrong, it would be a big problem.

"Well, everything in the village is arranged, but do we have any plans?" Wu Kexin nodded and then walked out from behind the desk, smiling as she asked Chen Yang if there were any upcoming plans.

Chen Yang sat on the sofa, hesitated a bit, not really understanding Wu Kexin's question.

"With such a big typhoon, what plans could we have? Just go home and sleep." Chen Yang said, baffled.

"Go home and sleep? That's not happening, Ruoxi wouldn't agree with you." Wu Kexin said with a smile.

Upon hearing this, Chen Yang's eyes immediately turned towards Yang Ruoxi.

He saw Yang Ruoxi and Dai Annie looking at him, giggling.

"What kind of expression is that? There's a conspiracy, huh," Chen Yang said with a laugh.

"Hmph." Yang Ruoxi snorted, then stood up and put a big bag of snacks and drinks on the table, saying, "My sisters and I just discussed it and decided to have a party at your house tonight!"

Pfft.

Chen Yang nearly burst out laughing when he heard this.

"A party at my house? My house has nothing for a party," Chen Yang said, surprised.

"Oh, don't worry about it; I've got all the snacks ready. Just cook a good meal for us," Yang Ruoxi said, indifferent to Chen Yang's opinion, waving her hand and then turning to Wu Kexin and Li Han, preparing to head to Chen Yang's house right away.

Not caring whether Chen Yang agreed or not.

Although Chen Yang was a bit helpless, he thought it might be fun with all four women joining.

This big typhoon, being home alone would indeed be boring.

Making some entertainment plans would indeed be interesting.

"Alright then, let's head out," Chen Yang stood up, agreeing.

Wu Kexin, Li Han, and Dai Annie covered their mouths with their hands, chuckling, and they all set off without saying a word.

Before leaving the office, they double-checked the windows and doors, ensuring everything was closed before heading to Chen Yang's house.

The moment the group reached the house, the wind outside started howling ferociously.

Signs of a strong wind had already begun.

"I'll put these snacks on the table for you; I'm going to check the backyard to make sure nothing blows away," Chen Yang suddenly remembered his medicine field in the backyard and couldn't shake his concern. He left the pile of snacks the women had bought and went to the backyard to check.

The yard was still fine at the moment, without any changes.

But once that strong wind starts, who knows what will happen.

Chen Yang carefully inspected the medicine field, feeling that the two fields could easily be affected by the typhoon. He quickly went to the storage room to find some tools.

He planned to build a temporary shed to protect the medicine field from the wind.

These fields were planted with valuable herbs.

If the wind damaged them, the loss would be significant.

Chen Yang first went home, found several long, sturdy tree trunks, and leaned them against the wall at an angle, forming a triangle shape.

Thus, the frame of the shed was completed.

Then, he brought some large sheets of canvas and covered them over the top, constructing a simple shed.

But this still wasn't enough.

Chen Yang then brought some heavy objects from the house and placed them on top to secure everything.

"This should hold up,"

Chen Yang was satisfied with the hastily assembled tent in a short amount of time.

It wasn't very sturdy, but for the medicine field, it was sufficient.

After all, there was a wall outside to block, so there wouldn't be much typhoon entering the yard; the shed should withstand it.

Bark, bark.

Having finished these tasks, Chen Yang was planning to return, but Wang Cai suddenly ran out of its den.

It came to Chen Yang's feet, shaking its head and wagging its tail.

The meaning was clear: it wanted some Elixir again.

"You've got the keenest nose; can't miss your daily dose of Elixir, can you?"

Chen Yang joked, taking out an Elixir from his pocket and giving one to Wang Cai.

Bark, bark.

Even after getting one, it was still dissatisfied, wagging its head and tail at Chen Yang's feet.

"Hei Yun wants some too?"

Remembering that Hei Yun was also having Elixir now, Chen Yang gave Wang Cai another one.

Now satisfied, it happily took one to its mouth and scampered back to his den with the other.

It maybe knew the typhoon was coming, as it moved its doghouse closer to the barn.

"This fellow is so savvy,"

Chen Yang shook his head with a smile and went to the corner, in front of Xiao Huang's hole entrance.

"Xiao Huang," Chen Yang tentatively called towards the hole.

There was no response at first, leading Chen Yang to think that the little guy had forgotten yesterday's arrangements.

Just when he was about to coax it out with an Elixir to reprimand it, he saw a golden head peeking out of the hole.
