Rise of Humanity

Chapter 486

Chapter 486 - For the Last Time

Zhong Yue could tell that the Human Sovereign could have easily done it if he really wanted to kill the Bi Xie Celestial Emperor. After all, Bi Xie Celestial Emperor’s mortal body was destroyed, and without the strong mortal body, not even that horn could stop the divine sword.

And yet, the divine sword suddenly stopped.

If you wanted to do it, then why didn’t you finish it? But it was way too high-level a battle for Zhong Yue to understand much.

“Our race’s saint weapon!”

Jun Sixie, Shui Zian, Fang Jiange and the others were all staring at the divine sword. They watched as little Xuan Yuan dragged it around, through rocks and stones, as their hearts ached in pain.

The human race’s saint weapon was being carried around by a little boy; this was way too embarrassing a thing to talk about.

“Pee, pee!” Xuan Yuan ran to Fu Bao and he reported to his mother like a soldier asking for permission.

Fu Bao felt incredibly embarrassed in front of the crowd, and she said, “Go pee in a corner!”

Xuan Yuan then brought the divine sword and ran to a corner, he stood upright and pushed his waist forward as he relieved himself. The sword seemed to mimic his actions as it hovered upright above the ground. It was really an amusing scene to behold.

After the little boy finished peeing, he crouched on the ground and poked the pool of his pee with the divine sword. Immediately, cold sweat burst out from the Qi Practitioners’ heads, and Fu Bao quickly hugged the little boy in her arms. She stopped her child from dirtying the divine sword and lectured, “Little boy, you can’t poke the sword at your…”

“Senior martial brothers and senior martial sisters, Xuan Yuan is still a small, he doesn’t know what’s…”, Fu Bao apologized right after as well.

Jun Sixie could feel her head aching as she mumbled, “The divine sword is now in little Xuan Yuan’s hands. I wonder what our human race’s saint weapon will experience in the days to come…”

Shui Zian, however, was smiling from ear to ear, he said, “Better than nothing. Now, no matter who it is, they would have to think twice before invading Great Wilderness!”

Jun Sixie instantly laughed aloud and nodded heavily, “Then I’m the greatest headmaster who brought Swords Gate to new heights!”. Her face seemed to burst with pride as she said that.

“Close door training, closed door training!” The headmaster waved her hands and said, “All of you, return to your training! Junior Martial Brother Zhong, don’t run! Come back here! You’re responsible for the Swords Gate Golden Summit’s destruction. You will be responsible for rebuilding it! There is also the matter of the destroyed palaces. You will also need to rebuild them as well, and the same goes for the mountains! Also, Four Ken Beast and Shen Dragon have ran away, you need to bring them back as well! I’ll expect you do finish while I’m in seclusion!”

It was then when Zhong Yue felt the onset of a migraine. Jun Sixie ignored him and left while the other Qi Practitioners dispersed as well.

“Headmaster, aren’t you worried that he will stir up more trouble?”, Shui Zian caught up to Jun Sixie and asked with concern.

Jun Sixie chortled, she squinted her eyes like a cheeky fox as she said, “Don’t worry, those tasks I’ve assigned to him will take at least ten days to half a month. Furthermore, he still have to find the Four Ken Beast and Shen Dragon as well. Four Ken Beast is not an issue, it will return when it deems Swords Gate to be safe. But this Shen Dragon is a sly one, it wanted to leave a long time ago, and with its ability to make illusions, it’ll be a difficult task for Junior Martial Brother Zhong to bring it back! For the next ten days or more, he will be busy. He definitely won’t have time to stir up anymore trouble!”

Shui Zian then raised his thumb and praised after hearing her thought process, “Headmaster, you are indeed a gifted genius!”

Jun Sixie suddenly sighed and said, “Being the greatest headmaster is certainly not easy… I have Junior Martial Brother Zhong and a little Xuan Yuan to take care of. The big one has proven to be a world-class troublemaker, and the small one is also beginning to walk his own path…”

Zhong Yue frowned as he glanced at the devastated Swords Gate Mountain. He sat down in the lotus position, and as soon as he has surged out his psyche, huge Jiao Dragons of flew out from his body. Some of these Jiao Dragons clenched on the rocks and some melted the rocks together. Just like that, the hills were reformed in a few moments time.

Although the Golden Summit was shattered, it didn’t take long for him to rebuild it and also the Swords Gate Mountain as well.

The Jiao Dragons went into the mountain body, they were patching the cracks and refining the whole mountain, making it stronger and firmer.

Meanwhile, the visualized celestials and demons flew out from his body. They moved around the place and started rebuilding it.

The Jiao Dragons, celestials, and demons were all working together in a uniform and orderly manner, their progress were incredibly fast and at this rate, Swords Gate would be able to return back to normal in no time.

To the others, it would be a difficult and tedious task to rebuild Swords Gate, but to him, it was simply a matter of visualization.

His psyche, arcane energy, and soul were strong and abundant, allowing him to do all of this easily.

In just two days’ time, Zhong Yue finished rebuilding Swords Gate, restoring it and also making it seem grander than before.

After he was done, Zhong Yue humbly invited Swords Gate godly spirit to return into the Golden Summit.

He also cast out the divine third eye, scanning around Great Wilderness. A few moments later, Zhong Yue kept the divine third eye and reached his hand out.

A few thousand miles away, Four Ken Beast was hiding in a mountain cave, shivering in fear. All of a sudden, a huge hand picked it up, and the Four Ken Beast found itself back at the golden summit the next second.

“This Shen Dragon is really interesting. Looks like he really wanted to escape the Great Wilderness… too bad it’s too slow; it hasn’t even left the Great Wilderness yet.” Zhong Yue looked toward the east and smiled before walking out of Swords Gate to head over there.

His speed was incredible, and a distance that would’ve taken tens of days to cross only required half a day’s time for him to traverse.

Soon, he arrived at a picturesque location. There was the cascading waterfall, the verdant grass, and blooming flowers –- it was truly an environment ideal for a hermit lifestyle.

However, as soon as Zhong Yue swung his hand, the environment shattered like glass. Shen Dragon quickly found himself in Zhong Yue’s grip as it shouted, “How did you find me? My illusions are…”

Zhong Yue shook his head and brought it back to Swords Gate. The depressed Shen Dragon was then returned to its shackles in the clouds.

Hei, Senior Martial Sister Jun has underestimated me. These tasks only needed three days at the most to complete. Hmm, let’s find little Xuan Yuan and play with the divine weapon together… Zhong Yue thought for a moment before leaving for Fu Bao’s palace.

When he reached the palace door, his heart shuddered, his pace slowed, and his eyes grew vigilant.

There was a young cultivator crouching on the ground with little Xuan Yuan. The two of them seemed to be having fun watching two ants fighting on the floor.

The young cultivator carried a horn on his back, and when Zhong Yue saw the divine sword hovering beside little Xuan Yuan, his heart settled down again.

“Seal Suppression Hall Master, this senior martial brother says that he is your friend!” Fu Bao saw him and she said while smiling, “He just arrived and said he is looking for you.”

“Senior Martial Bother Bi Xue, how are you so free to visit Swords Gate?” Zhong Yue walked toward them and asked with a smile.

The young cultivator raised his head up, and his eyes were placid as the usual warm bright smile radiated across his face. He answered, “Senior Martial Brother Zhong, you came? I just wanted to have a look at the sword that nearly killed my ancestor, and to see the kind of sword that can slash through the celestial emperor’s mortal body. I was also looking for you as well.”

Zhong Yue nodded, he carried little Xuan Yuan up from the ground and tucked him into Fu Bao’s arms. He crouched on the ground and took Xuan Yuan’s place in staring at the two ants as well. “Well, now you’ve seen the divine sword, and you’ve seen me.”

To the side, Fu Bao was in shock, she looked blankly at the young cultivator and thought, Ancestor? Celestial Emperor? He is the descendant of Bi Xie Celestial Emperor!

Her heart thumped in fear, that divine sword killed Bi Xie Celestial Emperor’s mortal body, and when Bi Xie Celestial Emperor’s descendant was here, she didn’t even realize it!

Bi Xie also looked at the ants, he said while smiling, “When these ants are fighting, they do so while being oblivious to a world vastly greater than the one they know. They are oblivious to the fact that even the strongest of them can be easily killed with just a finger. It’s my ancestor’s will to have a look at the divine sword. He wanted to reincarnate, to swallow Lord Xia and the others to nurture the strongest spirit. But this divine sword destroyed his plan, destroying his mortal body and his strongest spirit to revert into the six saint spirits. Thus, ancestor wants to have a look at who it was that destroyed his plan. We don’t have any ill-intentions.”

“No ill-intentions?” Zhong Yue startled. Bi Xie Celestial Emperor has been planning this for 50,000 years and with it destroyed, how can he has no ill-intentions?”

“Ancestor just wants to know who did it, he isn’t going to vent his anger on a little boy, that’s not his style.” Bi Xie laughed and said, “While it’s me that wanted to see you. My time is near, and if I can’t fight the strongest Qi Practitioner in Ancestral Star, I will never be able to leave in peace. That's why I came looking for you.”

“Leave … in peace?”, Zhong Yue’s face changed drastically, he shouted in shock, “You want to leave your mortal body for the Bi Xie Celestial Emperor? You plan on letting him use you as a vessel?”

Bi Xie nodded quietly.

Zhong Yue’s voice turned icy, “Senior Martial Brother Bi Xie, you are the strongest opponent I’ve ever met. Your talent surpasses my own, and your achievements will surpass your ancestor’s! Giving your body away to your ancestor while you yourself die... is it worth it?”

“It is....” Bi Xie answered seriously, “Without him, there wouldn’t be me. The blood that flows in my body belongs to him, and if he desires my body, I will give it to him. For the Bi Xie Celestial Race, I’m willing to sacrifice everything, even myself.”

Zhong Yue stared at him. He sneered coldly and said, “Then the Bi Xie Celestial Emperor is willing to come back to life even at the cost of his final descendent?”

“For ancestor’s grand plan, it’ll all worth it.” Bi Xie stood up, and he looked at Zhong Yue as his eyes brightened up, “Senior Martial Brother Zhong, when you were in the Fiery Capital, you said that you couldn’t use your full strength. You said that you’d fight me when the day comes that you strike through the nine heavens, have you done it now?”

Zhong Yue stood up as well, quickly sighing before returning to his usual composure. He said placidly, “Striking the nine heavens, how can it be that easy? But if it’s your last wish to fight with me, how can I decline?”

His voice became filled with emotion as he lamented, “Fellow Daoist, it’s a pity that we can no longer walk this path of cultivation together anymore… Bi Xie, this battle... I will make sure to honor your last wish!”

Bi Xie’s he laughed and bowed, “Thank you, fellow Daoist….!”

***

In the East Barren Gu Xia City, City Lord Long Yue stood up and quietly left the city. At the same time, Bo Xun left his Desire Realm and began a journey across the ocean.

“Fellow Daoist Bi Xie, let me send you off for the last time!”
