Chapter 1160: What A Magnificent Plan
Shame, the Seven Paths Reincarnation couldn’t be achieved.
Zhong Yue opened his eyes, let out a sigh and as he stood up, rumblings came from his body. After disintegrating the Sun and Moon Spirits, his cultivation level did not suffer any negative impacts, but instead, increased greatly!
His movements were entirely natural, his voice was instilled with the Dao, as if whatever he said was the truth itself.
Now, he was at the level where his soul was the spirit and his soul and body fully merged into one, though he was not an innate god yet, the hope was in his sight.
This cultivation was a unique one, granting him a tremendous boost in his Dao cultivation. He took the initiative to turn into Daos, merging his own Daos with the heaven and earth Daos and turning them over, turning the heaven and earth Daos into his Innate Eight Trigrams Sacred Ground. This move turned his Daos into the heaven and earth Daos, there were no longer totem patterns, his Daos were now pure and innate and that tremendously increased his strength!
Most importantly, the Dao Yi Secret Realm now contained Innate Eight Trigrams Sacred Ground, which he would be relying on to reverse his postnate state into innate!
But the reversion of innate was not something that could be achieved easily, what he achieved now was merely the first step. As to what came after that, or whether or not there were existences that managed to transcend from a postnate living being into an innate god, he did not know.
Now I finally know why Great Si Ming says that postnate living beings sinned the very second they looked into the sky and was punished with aging, sickness and death.
Zhong Yue raised his head and looked into the galaxy filled with endless stars, Postnate living beings took the wrong path, they shouldn’t have looked up to the innate gods but seek for the Dao themselves. Looking up to someone signified envy, and would bring one into chasing external Daos. And the consequence of this was being denied the chance to become an innate god. I too, finally understand what Senior Martial Brother Feng Xiaozhong meant. He said that the spirit is a lock that must be erased, and here I thought that he was being way too extreme, now it seems like he had a glimpse on the true nature of it.
He was unsure of Feng Xiaozhong’s progress in this area of his research, but he had never sensed Feng Xiaozhong’s spirit.
Of course, this was not necessarily the fault of the current totem cultivation system, this system was the one that all postnate beings relied on to acquire the basics, a system that granted them a chance to understand Daos and stand side by side with the innate gods.
Without the condensation of the earlier eras, none would be able to reverse the innate in Dao Yi Secret Realm.
Great Sui’s goal was also probably attempting to create a path leading to the transcendence into the innate state by using the totem pattern cultivation system as a jumping board, but it was a shame that this was never realized when he was still alive. It was only until the creation of the Six Paths and Reincarnation by the Dao Venerate Fu Min and Goddess Hou Tu that the postnate living being’s lifespan increased tremendously, allowing them to have sufficient time to perfect it.
As for Zhong Yue, he barely entered this path. This path that he walked was destined to be a difficult one. And the difficulty of reversing the innate was definitely even greater!
The path was found but the way forward remained unknown, no one was capable of teaching him.
The fire spirits swarmed around him and the fire spirit leader said, “Fuxi, now that you have no more spirit, how about our contract?”
After dispersing his spirit, Zhong Yue now no longer had a spirit to bind him to the contract that he signed with the fire spirits, making the fire spirits uneasy.
Zhong Yue smiled, “Whether or not this contract is still here, my promise is my bond! Don’t worry, you have my word, you will all be worshipped and the Yanzi Clan will be recovered!”
The fire spirits looked at each other and with a synchronized nod, they all flew into Zhong Yue’s body and resided in his soul.
Gui Tree flew out from his Dao Yi Secret Realm and asked him, “Fuxi, do you know anything about transforming?”
Zhong Yue replied, “I know a little but there is someone much more capable in this field, we might as well have him teach you.”
“But he ate me once!” This Gui Tree scowled, “There is no way I’m asking him to teach me!’
Zhong Yue burst out smiling and entered King Xiang’s palace, located him and thanked, “Thank you for your help, King Xiang.”
With only three legs remaining, King Xiang appeared to be in bad shape and he shook his head, “I am just repaying the good deed I owe to your race. After this, however, whatever happens to you and your Fuxi Celestial Race will have nothing to do with me. Besides, I am still expecting my leg back, I won’t gift it to you just like that!”
He examined Zhong Yue up and down and kept praising, “I never thought you would actually manage it, to be honest, I was merely messing around. How curious, you postnate living beings are weak, but your brains… I have to admit that you postnate beings have far more potential than us!”
Zhong Yue thanked again and asked, “King Xiang, how many of our Fuxi Celestial Race’s monarchs did you see?”
“The Heavenly Monarchs, all of them.”
King Xiang smiled, “Monarch Pao Xi is the most hardworking one, he is required to deal with the official affairs in the court and occasionally rushes over to eliminate turbulences in the darkness. Monarch Shi Yi loves his experiments, Monarch Hao Yi is fond of his little adventures and vowed to enter the ancient past and far future. He is always absent from the Heaven Court. Dao Venerate is more towards making friends everywhere. Little Fuxi, you on the other hand, are a troublemaker, and an exceptional one at that.”
Zhong Yue’s face darkened visibly, What do you mean by troublemaker!
“Since King Xiang has been living here for a very long time. As an ancient Deity King, I suppose you recognize this?”
His psyche wavered and took out the debris of the Imperial Star’s weapon handed to him by Monarch Chang Sheng. This piece was handed to King Xiang right now, Monarch Chang Sheng suspected this weapon was in its full condition to be a very powerful weapon, most likely forged by ancient Deity Kings and Heaven together to serve the purpose of hindering Dao Venerate Fu Min’s decision making.
Upon seeing this piece, King Xiang’s tone changed serious and he asked, “Who gave you this?”
Zhong Yue hesitated for a second and in the end, he did not give Monarch Chang Sheng out as he replied, “A friend.”
Without asking anymore, King Xiang waved his hand and a loud rumbling started deep in this world. An even larger piece broke out from the ground. It was a larger piece of the weapon with even more carvings on it. Its size was 60 times larger than the one Zhong Yue had!
And all Zhong Yue did was mindlessly stare into this massive piece. Compared to the dead piece given to him by Monarch Chang Sheng, what King Xiang possessed was still surging with spiritual power, its carvings glowing from time to time.
Instantly, Zhong Yue felt his energy deteriorate, his strength was slowly being siphoned away, but his mind remained hyped while his body and Yuan Shen were affected by some unknown power.
“This weapon… heh.”
King Xiang limped as he walked forward and smirked, “It’s affected not only Dao Venerate Fu Min, not just the Fuxi Celestial Race’s monarchs but also the other monarchs. It was not strong enough to affect Dao Venerate Fu Min at first, instead, he would’ve spotted it right away if it appeared. But Heaven came to an agreement with the old dogs out there. They imprinted the Heavenly Dao patterns on it, which escaped Dao Venerate Fu Min’s detection. And although this weapon is long destroyed and rendered unable to mask its presence, when its in its full form, it wouldn’t be noticed and that was when it started spreading negative impacts.”
Zhong Yue frowned as he also noticed the Heavenly Dao patterns on this larger weapon piece. At that very second, he figured out a foul and dirty play but it was still a little disturbing when this guess was confirmed by King Xiang.
“Dark Monarch’s camouflage, Yuan Ya’s death stench, Feng Tian’s fire, Demon Monarch’s demonic power…. They could easily impact a monarch’s thinking and nullify his danger sense, turning him into an irrational man.
King Xiang continue asking, “There can’t be only one of them, there are definitely more of these weapons! You know about Imperial Stars as well, don’t you? I’m referring to the ones that represent the monarch existences’ fate.”
Zhong Yue immediately thought of his own Imperial Star and nodded; his Imperial Star was located by Great Si Ming, destroyed by the latter to alter Zhong Yue’s fate.
“Among the ancient Deity Kings that started the chaos, a few of them are capable of identifying the Imperial Stars belonging to the future monarchs, which led them to a disgusting idea.”
King Xiang added, “They arrived at these Imperial Stars before anyone else, planted down this weapon and waited to harvest their gains. This, of course, was carried out with utmost discretion. But fire can’t be covered by paper. In order to erase Dao Venerate Fu Min, they invited Heaven and worked together to create this weapon but Dao Venerate Fu Min discovered this quickly. Thus, Dao Venerate Fu Min played along with their little plan, executing their culprits all the while. After Dao Venerate Fu Min’s passing, this weapon inexplicably shattered, and that was when they finally knew that Dao Venerate Fu Min knew about this all along.”
“Back then, I was also terrorized, afraid of being killed by Dao Venerate Fu Min, but after I gathered up the clues and linked these incidents together like a puzzle, I finally had my answer.”
King Xiang said, “The one that noticed this first was probably Great Sui. Great Sui had this ancestry rule, a culture which stated that every clan master of the Yanzi Clan had to be buried in the Ancestral Star, returned to the land that nurtured them after their death. Behind this rule is probably a long story and I believe Great Sui created this rule because he had arrangements that could deal with these old dogs’ control, which is also why they did not dare to dig the tombs in the Ancestral Star and eat the bodies. The Fuxi Celestial Race also had the same rule, resulting in the rise in numbers of the monarchs buried in the Ancestral Star and scaring these old dogs further away.”
This revelation stunned Zhong Yue greatly and he exclaimed, “There was more to the story behind why the monarch tombs are in the Ancestral Star?”
“But I am just guessing, this is all just my own conjecture.”
King Xiang explained, “But later on, the Heavenly Monarchs of Fuxi Celestial Race and Yanzi Clan are all buried there, Dark Monarch and the others are also too afraid to touch the tombs in Ancestral Star. From this, I am pretty sure about my guess and they probably ended up badly before trying to enter Ancestral Star, by badly I mean really bad. Little Fuxi, you are still too weak, you may be impressive now but you are still nothing more than just a pawn before these old dogs. Just think of Dao Venerate Fu Min, how impressive and overwhelmingly powerful he is, but after fighting with them for such a long time, they remain standing…. You….”
He shook his head, “It’s time you take your leave, you are only bringing me trouble by staying here!”
Zhong Yue bowed right away and just as he was about to leave, King Xiang suddenly said, “Dao Venerate Fu Min once came back to life somewhere in the past and passed me a message. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to tell you this but….”
Zhong Yue hurriedly stopped.
King Xiang hesitated awhile more and he gave in, “He said that if there a Fuxi were to arrive at this place in the future, he wanted me to tell them to return the Ancestral Star to the Ancestral Court. Strange, if the Ancestral Star is protected by the imperial monarch tombs’ seals, why would he want the Ancestral Star to return to the Ancestral Court? If the Ancestral Star is returned, then the seals of the imperial tombs would be lifted and the tombs would be revealed… Why?”
Zhong Yue’s heart thumped quickly as he finally understood what Dao Venerate Fu Min’s goal was!
What a magnificent plan!
