Ascension of the Sylvan Cosmos.

Chapter 482. Melody Meets Grandchildren. Start Of Continental Dominion!

While they approached the houses, Harmonixia whispered to Flor, her face full of worry. "Hey, Flor… Liu Shu isn't half awake, right? She has for sure gone to sleep so that she can Tier Up, right?"

The Flower Fairy laughed a bit and glanced at Harmonixia. "Why? Scared that Liu Shu would anger your mother?"

Harmonixia perspired. "O-Of course not. I am just unsure what barbarities she can utter that might make my mother turn me from a Music Sylvan to a broken string Sylvan."

"Love."

Melody's call almost made Harmonixia's soul jump out of her body. She turned around with an almost crying expression, and to her relief, Melody had not been listening all this time and was pointing at two trees in the distance. "Those are…"

Following her finger, Harmonixia blinked and sighed in relief. Then, she smiled and spoke. "They are the Two Life Trees living in our Golden Sap City. Moreover, one of them is a bit special~."

Octavia at the side muttered. "A Life Tree of the Willow Tree family… Is she Liu Shu's child?"

"Haha, close~." A soothing, ancient, and gentle voice reached them. "Let me present myself, Lady Melody. I am Tree, Liu Shu's mother."

"Hehe! Hello! Hello! I am Aurelise, something like… like… Liu Shu's something! Either way, I get along with her very well, so don't laugh or mock me!"

Melody sighed in awe. "Two Life Trees and a World Tree sharing a singular environment. Truly marvelous."

Melody exchanged a few more words with Tree, clarifying that her name was truly Tree and many other things. Eventually, Melody and the other Sylvans came to appreciate both Life Trees for who they were.

"Now, Mom." Harmonixia and the rest of the group turned a corner and saw the tall sylvan pointing in the distance. "Say hello to Violet and all her half-siblings!"

Melody looked at the exotic blue and purple tree in the distance, and her bloodline stirred instantly. Clearly, that gorgeous tree with a mix of willow tree figure but thicker leaves and taller height was her granddaughter. Melody's heart was filled with happiness as she looked at the tree, and she quickly grabbed Harmonixia's hand. "What are we waiting for? Guide me there! I want to get to know her. How intelligent is she? Can she talk? Can she understand words?" Melody interjected in her own rapid barrage of words. "Of course, if she can't, it doesn't matter. I won't mind at all! We will take care and love her all the same."

Harmonixia laughed and walked toward them with a wide smile. "Don't worry, don't worry. There is nothing wrong with Violet. She has some basic intelligence and can easily understand speech. Moreover, she is a playful sweetheart!"

Melody's eyes shone with nervousness and excitement. Once they were at a certain distance, as if Violet had sensed Harmonixia's aura, her canopy started swaying and her branches began moving happily.

Melody and many other Sylvans felt their motherly instincts stir as they all squealed in their hearts. 'Look how baby welcomes her Mommy! She is so cute!'

"Violet! This is your grandma! Are you happy that there is another person who will pamper you, baby?" Harmonixia extended her hand, touching one branch that had lowered to their level. Then, excited, Violet pulled up and lifted Melody and Harmonixia into the air.

Melody laughed softly as she landed on the balcony of the house tree. "Hello, Violet. I am Melody, your grandma." As if answering, a curtain on the balcony fluttered without wind and caressed Melody's body. The woman's smile couldn't come down as she stepped forward and entered the room on the third floor, where she was. "Woah~." Melody instantly praised Violet. "This room is gorgeous, love!"

The Tree House's branches wiggled happily when she heard Melody's praise and quickly served her one cup of tea-water. Melody wouldn't deny it even if the tree offered her mud water. So, she instantly took a sip. Having tasted thousands of different teas, Melody didn't expect anything unusual. However, the second she took the first sip, her eyes widened slightly. "Delicious and with perfect temperature." She was not exaggerating a little bit.

After all these years, Violet and the other Tree Houses have grown and become full-fledged Tree Houses with skills and control over their bodies to manipulate and modify their living space. Moreover, beyond what the usual <Lignified Tree House> did, Violet and the others had the ability to cook, grow crops in their surroundings, and maintain an overall level of cleanliness in the house. One would think that these things would be a chore, but you must remember that her species was literally designed to do these things.

For Violet, making tea is as enjoyable as playing games. Cleaning a room is like taking a calming shower after a strenuous workout. Helping to take care of her occupants, when they are her mother and other family members, is a joy that makes Violet feel alive and joyful. Through the connection with Liu Shu, all four House Children would always speak about how they were happy, and how they liked the food they made that day, etc.

As Melody walked from room to room, constantly praising Violet, she suddenly felt a smooth and gentle vine wrap around her wrist. Looking over, she noticed that her granddaughter wanted to guide her to another room. So, without any delay, she walked over and opened the door to that room.

Once she opened it, she saw Harmonixia and her own mother waiting for her inside. Melody looked between them, and her eyes widened when she saw a gorgeous giant flower with a boy attached by vine-like tendrils.

The boy had very soft, lilac-colored hair, his eyes shining with a gorgeous blue that could steal your breath away. The large, innocent eyes of the boy and his white skin made him look like a bun you wanted to squeeze and hug. "Oh. My. Sacred. Branches!" Melody approached with wide eyes. "How can there be such a cute boy in this world!?"

The boy blinked and looked at Melody. His young facial features didn't hide that, in the future, the boy would become a heartbreaker. Harmonixia saw that Melody was urging her with her eyes to present the boy, so she laughed and did so. "Mother, this is Eluan. He is a Farlune, so be careful with his scent, haha."

Melody was going to hug the boy, but when she heard his race, her movements paused. Harmonixia tensed, thinking that Melody would hate that type of flora. However, she was worrying for nothing.

Melody paused because she knew that the boy was not the actual body, but more like a tongue or a prey. Therefore, she lowered her arms and hugged the squishy and large flower below the boy. "Ah! Baby Eluan is so pretty! Your petals are gorgeous, Eluan. Oh my, look at your colors."

Harmonixia's heart sweetened when she saw Eluan's boy smiling and giggling with a beautiful and adorable voice as Melody kissed and hugged his true body.

Melody glanced at the boy Eluan created, and her eyes shone with appreciation. "Your hunting bait is coming along beautifully, Eluan. You are a genius." Her lips arched mischievously. "If you want to hunt some 'prey' in the future, they will all come running into you~, hahaha."

Harmonixia's grandma finally spoke, smacking Melody with her cane. "Melody, don't be dirty. How can we let random girls be lucky enough to fall and become Eluan's prey? We need to select some voluntary delicacies in the future! My great-grandson will only eat the best of the best!"

Harmonixia started sweating coldly as she heard her mother and grandmother discuss how to throw some poor women to be "eaten" by the Farlune. Meanwhile, reflecting Eluan's emotions, the boy created from tendrils giggled and clapped, clearly elated by whatever he was thinking about.

While Melody and the Songtree family got accustomed to the Golden Sap City and got assimilated, Liu Shu had entered deep sleep for her <Tier Up> after having quite a crazy night with Cinderielle.

Ignatia and other military leaders returned for two weeks to rest, and then, they were out again. The only ones that were left behind in the Golden Sap City were those who had some administrative duties.

The reformed armies were then led beyond the Wall Forest, and a counteroffensive officially started. It was not an easy task, and it would take a while until Liu Shu woke up and helped them with all her strength. Until then, they needed to reconquer, establish a government, assimilate, and ultimately absorb all the cities they had freed from the Abyssal Void Nexus.

That was the biggest problem and challenge when dominating the country. It wasn't their lack of military power to achieve the victory, but the lack of officials to swallow everything without stretching resources so thin that they might snap with a gentle pull.

When Melody heard about Flor's predicament, she decided to step up a bit and suggest some people from her Songtree family. Some might say that the Flower Fairy was biased or compelled to by the <Fourth Energy Cycle> powerhouse… Well, they'd be partially correct. After all, what was she supposed to do, not give a vote of trust to their strongest faction, which, at the same time, was the family of one of the World Tree's lovers?

Right, well, sadly, Liu Shu was not too well-versed in complicating things. In the end, all the families, such as the Lifetree family and the Songtree family, as well as some mothkins and many other species, gathered a considerable workforce to fill the empty government positions around the world.

Wisdom helped spread Liu Shu's roots to the conquered lands as well, so that our sweet World Tree wouldn't have to do so in the future.

Meanwhile, Warlya felt increasingly complex as the days passed by. She had been unable to see the world outside her roots or get information from outside sources. So, on the continental scale, the ancient World Tree was blind. Still, there was one thing that she could do to confirm that things were going badly against the Abyssal Void Nexus. "So… How is Liu Shu doing today?"

Her roots tapped Liu Shu's roots here and there as she checked on the girl. "She is healthy and… is she undergoing some kind of power-up? How can she risk something like that during a war? I should've warned her about never Leveling Up during combat… After all, isn't she young?"

Warlya sighed in her mind as she prayed that the young and somewhat rude World Tree didn't lose to the Abyssal Void Nexus. 'While I am against joining her domain…' Will she continue to say the same when Liu Shu defeats the Nexus? 'If she gains a convincing win, like killing one or two major generals before pushing the Nexus back, I'd honestly be quite impressed.'

Unaware that the World Tree she was worrying about had already annihilated the armies, Warlya continued defending her city from the straggler army that had been besieging her for a few months.
