"The boy's head is getting closer and closer, I'm about to be kissed," she said.

"Eh? Really?" Akiko quickly took out her phone, aimed the camera at the two of them, and zoomed in to the max.

After waiting for a while, she held the phone in one hand and excitedly tugged at Miyazaki Miyuki's sleeve with the other.

"They're kissing, they're kissing!"

"I see it," Miyazaki Miyuki grabbed her own shoulder, preventing her clothes from slipping off her shoulders.

"Wow! Tongues, yuck! Disgusting!" Akiko said this but couldn't take her eyes off, watching intently with relish.

When the two returned, Akiko kept laughing at Xiaoquan Aonai, who was pretending nothing had happened, causing her face to blush quickly.

The four didn't rush to leave the beachfront and sat together under the palm trees, gazing at the seaside.

"It feels like we could stay here all afternoon," Xiaoquan Aonai said leisurely, enjoying the sea breeze.

"Yeah, that's fine, no problem at all," Dubian Che said.

Suddenly, Xiaoquan Aonai remembered something from ten years ago or maybe from this past April, and with a smile in her eyes, she playfully bumped him with her shoulder.

"I can't stand it," Akiko shook her head and stared at the seagulls at her feet.

Dubian Che shifted his gaze to the seagulls and said, "Can you line up? (Command)"

"How could seagulls possibly line up..." Akiko's eyes widened in disbelief as she saw the seagulls in front of them line up.

Though some looked forward, some looked back, some stared at each other, and some at the butts of other birds, they indeed lined up.

"It's impossible!" the three of them said incredulously.

"Come to my hand!" Akiko said tentatively.

No seagull paid her any attention.

"Do seagulls also like handsome Tokyo guys?" she asked, puzzled. "Dubian, how did you do it?"

"I don't know."

"Try again?" Xiaoquan Aonai said, full of expectation.

"Then... form this shape. (Command)" Dubian Che gestured a heart with his fingers.

The seagulls flapped their wings in unison, jostling and pushing each other until they finally formed a heart shape.

"It's magical!" Xiaoquan Aonai covered her mouth, her eyes sparkling as she looked back and forth between the seagulls and Dubian Che.

"Strange," Miyazaki Miyuki said under her breath, supporting her bosom with her arms, in disbelief.

Akiko took out her phone and snapped photos: "Keep going, Dubian! Quick!"

"Fly to the seaside and then fly back. (Command)"

The seagulls flew off, making a loud ruckus, attracting many of their kin, and then flew back.

Even the seagulls in front of a single man feeding them bread were drawn in.

Children, couples, and seniors walking dogs all gathered around.

After performing two more commands, Dubian Che let the seagulls disperse.

"That was so much fun, how did you do it?" Akiko asked as she put away her phone.

"A handsome Tokyo guy, keeping thirty percent mystery," Dubian Che said with feigned profundity.

Then, he changed the subject, "It's a pity I don't have a hat, otherwise, with the hat on the ground, I'd have already earned enough for a round-trip fare."

"Then in the future, we can go anywhere with this flock of seagulls!" Akiko said excitedly.

"Before that, I need to save up for a stroller," Dubian Che said seriously.

Xiaoquan Aonai glared at him, looking both angry and happy, while the other two laughed out loud.

After sitting for another ten minutes, Akiko grew restless and suggested visiting other attractions.

"I won't disturb you guys anymore," Dubian Che suddenly said.

"What?" Xiaoquan Aonai turned to look at him.

"You and the girls have fun, I'm heading back to Tokyo," he said.

"Why?"

"I didn't bring a change of clothes," Dubian Che stood up.

With him around, Xiaoquan Aonai, Akiko, and Miyuki couldn't fully enjoy themselves, and neither could he let loose, so he decided to let them have a good time this once.

"Can't you go without changing clothes for a day?" Akiko wondered aloud.

"You can go without changing if you don't soak in hot springs, but it's impossible not to soak in hot springs when you come to Atami, besides, I came to eat kinmedai, and now that I have, it's only natural to head back."

Deciding to leave, Dubian Che waited for a taxi by the roadside.

The three saw him off, Xiaoquan Aonai feeling reluctant to part.

Dubian Che reached out and pulled her into his embrace, and Xiaoquan Aonai didn't resist.

He whispered in her ear, "Next time we'll go out, just the two of us."

"When will we go?" Xiaoquan Aonai's voice brightened.

The taxi arrived, and Dubian Che got in under their watchful gaze.

The car slowly started moving, driving under palm trees along the seaside road.

As they were leaving the beachfront, Dubian Che looked back to see Xiaoquan Aonai standing by the roadside, still gazing in this direction.

After the taxi disappeared, Xiaoquan Aonai felt an indescribable discomfort in her heart, even though they were only going to be apart for a little while and could meet tomorrow.

On the way to Yumemai Shrine, as she walked up the slope again, she anticipated Dubian Che reappearing, hoping that his saying he was leaving was just a lie to cheer her up.

But he didn't reappear.

She began to miss him and was tempted to propose to Akiko and Miyuki that they go back now and catch the next train to Tokyo.

But she couldn't say it out loud.

Even though she couldn't say it, while playing around, she became disinterested in the attractions and unconsciously said, "Atami is too small after all."

"You can soak in hot springs anywhere."

"I have to prep for Monday's class and want to get ready early."

Akiko and Miyazaki Miyuki looked at her with a headache.

"Aonai, it's just one night! We can meet tomorrow afternoon!"
