First off; 1-35 of my chapter plan. You may notice that some of these descriptions are kind of off, or straight up incorrect. So, take some of these with a grain of salt. And, uh, yeah. It's just an outline, after all. Especially #30, half of which I had to remove for spoil reasons, you'll see that eventually. The latter half of these I started writing like netflix episode descriptions, which is pretty neat, I guess.

1st Dislocation- The start of our journey. 1/3

2nd Bearings- Basics of the system and environment. 2/3

3rd Butcher- Kill first animal, eat, start a fire, magic in the form of 'fire source'. 3/3

4th Venture- Filler, level up and get new skills.

5th Desperation- Has 24 hours to find water before he dies.

6th Foundation- Moves his stuff to the island surrounded by water. Makes a real base.

7th Predator- goes on a killing spree. 1/2

8th Prey- Reality check, very narrowly almost dies. 2/2

9th Flood- Attacked by cyborg wolves, gets poisoned

10th- Another World!- obligatory perspective change, by leader girl

11th Construction- Finally makes a hut, using resources gathered at the end of 9th.

12th Cartography- Maxes out reinforcements, Finds 'hexsidian' a dark element crystal he uses for his new knife.

13th Outset- starts going crazy from loneliness. Ventures outside to discover new things, the beauty of the world, and get over his fear of The Wolf.

*Small time skip*

14th Lament- far from home, stumbles on the remains of a village and fresh blood. Meets his first humanoid from afar, fails to save it, watching it be torn apart by a wendigo type creature. He laments that he's too weak, and too slow.

15th Heading west- lily gathers slaves and heads west, inspired by a hint to find others like her.

16th Pheromone- Max heads back to base, and takes a close look at the modification system. He practices his skills on the way, and eventually needs to shake off a ravenous threat.

17th Breakthrough- Max fails to shake off the ants, and is forced into a corner while fighting off the never ending hoard. Reflecting on his journey, he breaks through to the next level.

18th Mercy- exhausted from the journey, Max takes a break and bathes for once, he makes a lucky encounter and finishes off a powerful foe, netting him a large soul and a new responsibility. (wyrm pet) <- Man, I straight up did not do this. Woopsies.

19th Hope- finally home, Max is disturbed from his well deserved rest by a human scream. He rushes to the scene to see a young girl attacked by a hoard of colorful monsters.

20th Solemn Stranger- lily makes a fatal mistake while using her powerful and unpracticed abilities. Her own monsters turn their gnashing jaws on her. Barely surviving with her instincts, she's saved from death by a ragged stranger.

21st Homewrecker- Max teaches Lily the way of the world, and takes her under his wing. They both discover the secrets of mana together, cementing themselves as a party.

*1 month time skip

22nd Garrison- We see the day to day lives of Max and Lily living in the same camp, until a huge group of soldiers move into the forest and disturb their peace.

23rd Humanity- The duo make contact with the soldiers, and learn about the state of humanity. As well as the location of a nearby city.

24th Border- The duo arrives at the fortress city of Terragon, and begin getting accustomed to society again. Lily takes to it like a duck to water. But Max is uncomfortable after so many weeks alone.

25th Death March- A group of competent soldiers/ adventurers/ mercenaries, March to take down the 'Winter Stalker' that's been haunting their borders. (they get demolished)

26th Treachery- Out of nowhere, a rebellion against the local nobles starts. The city is consumed in chaos, and after Lily begs Max to help the bystanders, he eventually gets stuck in the crossfire. (First dream)

27th Briggand- The duo make a ruckus while in line to enter the dwarven pioneer city of Distentia. They end up locked in a dirty cellar, awaiting punishment by the city's well known slothful oligarchy. It is here that they find their next party member, Oldren the creator.

28th Geostorm- Max, Lily, and Oldren escape the dwarven city by climbing down their impressive wall. While heading towards their next destination, a dungeon city while being led by Oldren, they get caught up in a calamitous storm and are swept off their path.

29th Dungeon- The Trio discovers that the cave is actually an entrance to a dungeon, and one of its middling levels. There, they each encounter something they want. For Max, xp. Oldren? Minerals. Lily? What her [war conduction] does. Here, they learn how to work as a team and even save a few delvers along the way, with Max getting a serious gear upgrade (*).

30th Lost and Alone, Hunger Everlasting (Placeholder) - *'s pov chapter. Bro is NOT having a good time. He loses his reasoning early on, succumbing to his own endless hunger. He fades in and out of consciousness as the days wind on. *Spoilers removed*

31st Assault p1- As the trio ascends the dungeon, they hear word of the city above being razed to the ground. Max is uncertain about saving people for no reason, but goes along with Lily regardless. The trio does their best to fend off the monsters, but end up having to retreat once they realize this is an organized attack.

32nd Annihilate p2- An unknown being suddenly splits up their party, and then casts a wide area [Spatial annihilation] spell. Max ends up escaping in time, with a little help from the system, but not before they scuff his jays. This leads him to start head hunting for the leader to put a stop to the assault.

33rd Heart p3- Unable to beat the fire mage, Max begins retreating. Unbeknownst to him, the three mages herd him into a trap. He discovers the purpose of the terrorist mages, and does everything to overcome it.

34th Dynamic Duo p4- Separated from Max, Lily and Oldren work together to destabilize the mages infrastructure. They end up sabotaging their plans in more ways than one.

35th Execution p5- Max leaves the city in a hurry in order to track down the half blood. Oldren and Lily quickly follow him, all three of them having to work together in perfect harmony in order to take down the awakened half-blood.

And, finally, some options for the modification sub-system, as well as some annexations I came up with. Their retconned though, cause their based off of existing animal traits, besides the last few, and that's boring! I also got a bit sassy in some of the potential mods, thus why I never included them. I think.

Possible Additions-

Assimilating {Digestive}- Eating a monster imparts some of their stats or skills temporarily. Severity, time, and whether its skill, stats, or both, is affected by what part is eaten. Brain and blood would impart skills, muscle and tissue would grant stats. Cooking greatly decreases the effects.

Absorbing {skeletal}- diverts incoming kinetic energy to the bones, which are rebuilt to better handle said energy.

Regenerative {all}- vastly increases the recovery speed of the organ/system/part. Afflicted part becomes able to be regenerated completely, even from nothing.

Dense {all}- afflicted part becomes higher durability, and stronger in its respective field, without changing in size or necessary flexibility.

Onyx {Integumentary}- becomes more durable and deadly. Nails become longer, sharper, and more durable, as well as easy to regrow. Hair also grows faster, and is harder cut, becoming a layer of defense against head injuries, like a pliable helmet. Skin becomes more durable, and defensive. Can easily fend off injuries normally made by sharp stones or dull iron.

Explosive {Muscular}- Increases instant strength. Bolsters muscles during activities like punching and jumping. Muscular endurance suffers slightly. Enhances defenses.

Graceful {Muscular}- Increases constant strength. Bolsters muscles during activities like lifting and pulling. Muscular Strength suffers slightly. Enhances fine motor skills.

Invasive {Immune}- God forbid if your blood slips into another being's body. The white blood cells will tear up the inside of the poor creature, and there's little they can do about it.

Precognitive {Nervous} allows you to see a tiny glint of the future. Whether you can react to it is your problem.

Efficient {Respiratory/digestive}- harder, better, faster, stronger. The good things are increased and the bad things are decreased. What more do you want?

Burst {Respiratory}- allows you to suck in large amounts of air quickly, and expel it with moderate, though non damaging, force.

Splintering {Teeth}- Increases ability to chew and break down hard substances and natural armor, like scales and bone.

{Explosive} + {Graceful} = {Ardent}

{Ardent} Muscular System: Massively increases strength, both instant and constant. Muscles become tightly corded, allowing for increased defense. Muscles and tendons are perfectly synergized, allowing for great control of all parts of the body.

{Vigorous} Legs: Greatly increases speed and jump force. Less stamina is used to move greater distances. Decreases fall damage.

{Demolishing} Teeth: Massively increases ability to crush armor. Most bones, chitin, scales, and any other hard parts of the body can be easily chewed through. Also increases durability. It is also possible to chew ordinary materials, such as wood and rock.
