Abyss Dominator System

Chapter 657: The Era of Global Cultivation!

"No way!"

Upon hearing that Huaxia Dragon Sect wanted him to take on the role as the first Sect Leader, Bai Yan refused outright without a second thought.

In this chaotic age, he couldn't even attend to all the affairs of Demon Island, let alone accept Elder An's request to take on the taxing position of Dragon Sect Leader.

It wasn't that Bai Yan was willing to let the Huaxia Abnormality Organization fend for itself, but rather, he had delegated most of Demon Island's affairs to Fu Chao. How could he possibly be willing to accept the position of Dragon Sect Leader?

Being a hands-off boss is the best!

"If you don't agree, then Chen Wuwei is the only one qualified for the role."

As Elder An said this, a mysterious smile played at the corner of his lips.

"Wuwei isn't a family disciple and, being the Huaxia Dragon Vein Guardian, he truly is the right candidate."

Bai Yan nodded and agreed.

Dragon Sect will be the mainstay of the Huaxia Abnormal People Council in the future, the only capital to counter the Sect Forces. It certainly cannot fall under the control of the Abnormal Families.

"Good, just nod your head and agree, that's all."

Elder An, excited, summoned Chen Wuwei and the various deacons of the Huaxia Abnormal People Council. In front of everyone, he announced the decision to appoint Chen Wuwei as the first Dragon Sect Leader.

The resolution passed unanimously; no one raised an objection. The Huaxia Abnormality Organization indeed needs transformation, requiring a younger and more potential leader.

"Salutations to the Supreme Elder."

However, instead of greeting Chen Wuwei with the grand Sect Leader ceremony, all deacons bowed and paid their respects to Bai Yan without delay.

"Old man, what's going on here?"

Bai Yan asked, utterly confused. He merely intended to offer help during Huaxia's time of crisis, to preserve the inheritance of Huaxia's Abnormals, not to get involved in Dragon Sect affairs.

How come, out of the blue, there emerged a position of Supreme Elder?

I'm so young...

"Bai Yan, your disciple has become the Dragon Sect Leader, and naturally, as his master, you are the Dragon Sect's Supreme Elder."

Elder An said with a sly grin, his eyes repeatedly flashing with discerning light, like a crafty old fox.

From the beginning, he knew that only by tying Bai Yan to the Huaxia Abnormal People Council's big ship could they assure Huaxia's peace and security amidst the chaos.

If they relied on the strength of the Huaxia Abnormal People Council alone, even the established Dragon Sect would eventually face rejection and targeting by those Sect Forces.

After all, there are only so many people on the Main Plane, and even fewer with exceptional Talent. Each new Sect means one more competitor.

Everyone wants to reign supreme, and to ensure self-preservation, Huaxia Abnormality Organization must survive in the cracks and cannot abandon the deep connection with Bai Yan.

Bai Yan is the most unpredictable and unforeseeable variable on this planet!

"Old man, the old ginger is spicier. You are indeed formidable."

Bai Yan gave Elder An a thumbs-up, his voice laden with helplessness.

The shame of it, to think that I, a Demon, would be outwitted by an ordinary old man.

But then again, this old man will be my future grandfather-in-law, having given me both his granddaughters, I can't hold a grudge against an elder...

Bai Yan shook his head with a wry smile.

"Have the technical department post a notice on the website about Dragon Sect recruiting disciples. Also, send someone specifically to scout for talented disciples among the Abnormal Families of Huaxia, so as not to let those Sect Forces get a head start."

Elder An ordered the Abnormal deacons.

"Old man, what is this website you speak of?"

Bai Yan asked, still puzzled.

"After your reminder, I suddenly realized that the Huaxia Abnormal People Council must stay ahead of those Sect Forces, so I had someone set up a website overnight."

"The first purpose of this website is to inform the average person about the existence of Abnormals, and the second purpose is to provide a registration channel for Loose Cultivators and talented ordinary people, not letting slip any Abnormal with Talent."

As Elder An was speaking, he instructed his secretary to bring over a laptop connected to the internet and entered a web address.

Elder An had made up his mind. Rather than leaving the initiative to the Sects, it was better to take matters into his own hands, seizing the copious human resources from the world of ordinary people.

Bai Yan took a brief look at the Dragon Sect website. To call it a Dragon Sect website was something of a stretch – it was more like an Abnormal news distribution platform established by the Huaxia officials.

It mostly chronicled all the changes happening in the Main Plane and provided science education related to Abnormals.

Such information would have been top secret in the past, with no chance for ordinary people to come into contact with it.

However, with the resurgence of Spiritual Energy, more and more Sect Forces are emerging, and the Main Plane will soon enter an era of universal cultivation – an unstoppable trend.

Even without the Dragon Sect website, these things will be known to people sooner or later.

At the topmost layer of the website is an announcement letter for the recruitment of disciples by Dragon Sect.

The announcement letter had been up for just five minutes, and there were already tens of thousands of comments below.

"I knew it, there must be cultivators in this world! I even saw a wild boar over three meters tall recently!"

"Is this for real? Can ordinary people sign up too?"

"Absolutely true. I've already signed up and I'm going to the designated place to test my talent tomorrow."

"Us loose cultivators have finally found an organization; I'm going to join Dragon Sect with a few fellow Daoists right now."

"Greetings to the great abnormal up there, I'm wondering if you still need any accessories for your leg?"

"I want to join LongMen."

"Hold on, foreign friends. We haven't finished sorting this out internally yet; you all line up behind."

...

It has to be said that Elder An still has quite an eye for things.

Although these loose cultivators and ordinary people's talents are not as high as those born into Abnormal Families, what they lack in talent they make up for in sheer numbers.

With over a billion people in Hua Xia, surely a portion of exceptionally talented individuals could be found from such a large population.

Moreover, Bai Yan saw a lot of comments from foreigners among these messages; it's evident that the mysterious Eastern sorcery attracted more interest than some secret techniques from foreign sects.

...

The next morning, after a night of fermentation, the announcement released by the Huaxia Abnormality Organization hit like a boulder into a lake, causing a huge stir.

The whole world was shocked, whether they were ordinary people, Abnormals, Abnormal Families, or Ancient Sects.

That day had finally come.

The era of global cultivation had arrived, set in motion by the Huaxia Abnormality Organization... No! It was brought forward by Dragon Sect!

Other Abnormal powers and sects quickly followed suit, but since the Huaxia Abnormal People Council had taken the first bite of the cherry, it had already caught the eye of ordinary people and those Abnormals without an organization.

Before dawn, the official talent-testing sites set up by the Huaxia Abnormal People Council were packed with people.

Bai Yan and Elder An also underestimated people's longing for cultivation, and they hastily dispatched more staff.

"Supreme Elder, Elder An, we've encountered some problems here."

A deacon responsible for scouting talents from Abnormal Families came into the office and reported to the two.

"What's the problem? Tell us about it."

"The thing is, when we were testing the talents of offspring from Abnormal Families, the third-rate sects also took action. Moreover, those Abnormal Families tend to trust the capabilities of these third-rate sects more and are unwilling to let their offspring join Dragon Sect."

The deacon explained.

Although Dragon Sect currently has nine core cultivation techniques, which is a lot more than those third-rate sects, Dragon Sect is after all newly established and still lacks renown.

And those third-rate sects, regardless of their strength, have already made a big name for themselves in the Abnormal World.

Between a newly established organization and one that has been around for ten thousand years, it's clear at a glance which one weighs more.

"This is tricky; we can't just forcefully order those families to send their offspring to Dragon Sect. If we do that, how are we any different from those foreign sects that harm Abnormals?"

Elder An frowned tightly, his chiseled forehead carrying a worry that couldn't be dissipated.

"Actually, I have an idea. We could let those sect forces select a batch of the most talented offspring first, and then Dragon Sect will pick from the rest."

"That way, it wouldn't cause difficulties for those Abnormal Families, and Dragon Sect would be able to recruit disciples."

Bai Yan pondered for a while before speaking.

"No, no, this isn't a sustainable solution. Only by recruiting disciples of outstanding talent can Dragon Sect have a chance to surpass those sect forces."

Elder An shook his head, rejecting Bai Yan's idea.

"That might not necessarily be the case though."

Bai Yan revealed a rather mysterious smile.

Talent is something very important for Abnormals, it even determines the height of their achievements in life.

But for Bai Yan, who owns the Demon Lord System, this is not a problem at all.

If there's a problem that can't be solved with money, it only means that not enough money has been spent!
