The Peerless Beauty Stuck With Me

Chapter 517: Petty and Narrow-Minded Duodenal Ulcer

Fang Jinxiu hesitated briefly upon seeing Tang Rao extend his arm, but then subconsciously extended her own, linking arms with Tang Rao.

The pair entered Moonlight Manor hand in hand.

Moonlight Manor was considered an extremely high-end elite mall in Sui City.

Its scope wasn't large; there weren't many shops, but each one carried premium goods.

Spending here was astonishingly high.

A casual pair of shorts, for instance, likely cost thousands.

The average person simply couldn't afford to shop here.

"Boss, that teleportation skill, can you teach it to me?" Fang Jinxiu asked inside Moonlight Manor; she truly wanted to learn that ability—it was too cool.

"Sure," Tang Rao nodded.

But before Fang Jinxiu could get excited, Tang Rao added, "But you won't be able to learn it. You'd need to reach the Mahayana Realm to master it."

A look of despair crossed Fang Jinxiu's face. The Mahayana Realm…

To be honest, she had no passion for cultivation; her love was for technology!

She was destined to become the greatest technology master under the starry sky; cultivation just wasn't for her.

"Isn't there another way?" Fang Jinxiu asked.

"That depends on you. Maybe you'll have a breakthrough in technology. Perhaps you'll find a scientific solution to this problem," Tang Rao replied.

He couldn't say there was no other way; technological means might also achieve space teleportation.

Fang Jinxiu fell silent, her thoughts unknown.

"By the way, where did you guys agree to meet?" Tang Rao inquired.

"Yanxiang Hall," Fang Jinxiu responded.

Tang Rao nodded. Yanxiang Hall was a restaurant renowned for its meticulous cuisine; each dish had a history, each crafted with the finest ingredients and by the finest chefs.

The most impressive part was Yanxiang Hall's kitchen: each chef only prepared one dish, the one they were best at.

Therefore, the kitchen took up nearly half of the restaurant's space.

"It's just ahead. Let's go in," Tang Rao nudged with his chin.

Yanxiang Hall's entrance featured no greeter, only an elderly man with white hair, seated behind a table laid with tea sets and holding a pipe, not smoking it but simply fiddling with it.

"Eh, young man, you've come again?" The old man greeted Tang Rao cheerily upon seeing him.

"Elder, glad to see you well," Tang Rao greeted back. He had previously brought Yun Xi here for a meal, so he recognized the old man at the door.

Yanxiang Hall had an unusual rule: you could only enter if the old man at the door took a liking to you.

If he took offense at you, then you were definitely not getting through that door.

"Elder, this is for you," Tang Rao took out a small pouch from his Space Ring and handed it to the old man.

The old man's eyes instantly brightened as he rapidly opened the pouch.

Last time, the old man had alcohol sets on his table, so Tang Rao had gifted him a jug of fine wine from the Seventy-two Domains; this time, with tea sets on the table, Tang Rao brought him a small packet of tea leaves from the Seventy-two Domains.

The Divine Camphor Leaves, a famous tea celebrated in the Seventy-two Domains.

"Excellent tea, excellent tea," the old man murmured, intoxicated by the aroma.

"Fine tea finds resonance with a connoisseur," Tang Rao commented with a smile.

"Inside, the young man eats for free!" the old man called out turning his head.

The corners of Tang Rao's mouth lifted slightly—it seemed like there was no charge last time either. But he wasn't about to refuse, and he suspected the old man might be quite displeased if he did.

"Free meal, I love this feeling," Tang Rao murmured to himself.

"Hahaha, you little rascal, I just like your spirit. Alright, I'm in a good mood today." The old man stood up.

"Inside, get all of my tools ready. I'm going to do it myself!" The old man shouted towards the inside.

There was an immediate response from inside the Yanxiang Hall.

"Young man, take a seat inside, and what you eat will depend on how I feel." The old man said.

"Okay." Tang Rao certainly wouldn't refuse, as it was obvious that this old man held a very high status in Yanxiang Hall, not to mention his cooking skills.

Soon, Tang Rao and Fang Jinxiu found a table to sit down at.

"Which one?" Tang Rao asked.

"The man wearing a hat at two o'clock from you," whispered Fang Jinxiu.

Tang Rao turned his head to look.

The man looked rather decent, dressed in a suit that seemed to be made of fine material, exuding the aura of a successful elite. Four or five dishes were laid out on his table, and his face had a slight smile on it, seemingly quite satisfied.

"Just by looking, he seems so pretentious, really makes me want to slap his face with a dish." Tang Rao muttered.

"All talk and no action." Fang Jinxiu had a look that seemed to say the world isn't in chaos if she isn't causing trouble.

Tang Rao: "..."

"Does he recognize you?" Tang Rao asked.

"Of course not, what a joke. With my beautiful face, how could I let such a loser get a look at me. Only you are so fortunate to have seen my unrivaled beauty and to spend the nights with me," Fang Jinxiu said.

"Hey, don't make it sound like I've done something to you. Being shameless enough to say 'spending the nights'," Tang Rao said with a speechless face.

"Yo yo yo, you're embarrassed now? I don't mind, so what are you worried about. But then again, you really are a coward, boss. If you had pushed the door open last night, I might not have rejected you," Fang Jinxiu said.

"Can we do it tonight?" Tang Rao asked.

"Sorry, that's not going to work. I only had one night prepared for you."

"It's not okay then why the heck did you bring it up..."

"Just saying it's not okay."

"Not okay..."

"Petty, an ulcer in your chrysanthemum."

Tang Rao: "..."

Tang Rao and Fang Jinxiu didn't have to wait too long before the old man brought over two dishes.

"Come on, Diced Chicken with Mushrooms, Boiled Mountain Yam," the old man briefly introduced the two dishes, the names were so straightforward, it was the same as not saying anything at all.

I can see it myself, anyway.

Of course, Tang Rao wouldn't say that, it would seem a bit impolite.

"These dish names, I'm impressed," Tang Rao nodded, still grumbling a little.

"Hehe, simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Eat up first, and I'll make two more special dishes for you," the old man said with a chuckle before running back down.

Tang Rao was not shy and started to eat right away.

As for the matter with that pretentious guy, they'd get to it later, no fear of him running away.

"Wow, this Diced Chicken, where did you buy these mushrooms? They're so fresh! Man, this Mountain Yam is incredible!" Before Tang Rao even started, Fang Jinxiu had already devoured the food like a whirlwind, as if she hadn't eaten in her entire life.

Of course, Tang Rao couldn't fall behind now, because if he was slow, he literally wouldn't get anything to eat.

Fang Jinxiu, you maniac, can't you stop pouring everything from the plate straight into your bowl? Could you let me pick up a chopstick's worth?!

Anyway, it wasn't until the old man's third and fourth dishes were served that Tang Rao managed to spoon out a scoop of Diced Chicken from Fang Jinxiu's bowl.

Of course, the robbed Fang Jinxiu looked at him with resentment, but Tang Rao didn't care about that, and started to savor each piece, it was delicious indeed.
