"How did it go?" Tang Rao asked Tong Chiyun with a hint of excitement in his tone.
If this method was feasible, then enhancing Tong Chiyun's strength would become simple.
His conjecture should be correct—the so-called Blood Clan does not rely fundamentally on the power of fresh blood. Instead, just like the Abyssal Worm, they absorb the essence of life within living organisms.
And human essence is precisely contained in blood, leading the Blood Clan to believe that only by consuming human blood can they enhance their strength.
In fact, as long as the method is proper, any creature can cause a dramatic increase in the strength of the Blood Clan.
"It's quite good, but..." Tong Chiyun's expression was conflicted, as the blood-colored pearl might very well be derived from Tang Rao's refinement of Bossley.
Although different from fresh blood, the essence is still about harming lives.
"I understand what you mean, don't worry. These pearls that increase your strength can be refined from various creatures. If you really find it hard to accept, I can go buy a slaughterhouse for you. Pigs, cows, and such—you should be able to accept that, right?" Tang Rao said to Tong Chiyun.
Tong Chiyun looked extremely surprised. Could animals like pigs, cows, and sheep also produce these blood-colored pearls? Impossible. The Blood Clan has at least a thousand years of history, always relying on human blood as the source of their strength.
There must have been ongoing research and experiments, but there has never been any breakthrough.
If Tang Rao's statement were to spread, it would undoubtedly cause a tremendous shock to the entire Blood Clan.
Even Marquises and Dukes would take action, they would come looking for Tang Rao.
What Tong Chiyun didn't know was that while the Blood Clan's self-research had spanned thousands of years, the Nine Realms and the Seventy-two Domains' research on the Domain outside had lasted a staggering hundred thousand years.
Truth be told, Tang Rao knew much more about the Blood Clan than any member of it.
The Blood Clan's method of strength enhancement is entirely similar to some species of the Heavenly Demons from outside the Domain.
So, Tang Rao had reason to suspect that the Blood Clan might be a kind of Heavenly Demon from outside the Domain.
As for why they appeared on Blue Star, that would be a question for Chen Tuan.
Perhaps Blue Star has some connection with the domain outside; Tang Rao could not say for sure. After all, the search for the domain outside has never ceased since the appearance of the Heavenly Demons in the Nine Realms and Seventy-two Domains a hundred thousand years ago.
But no matter how they searched or debated, no one could definitively determine the position of the domain outside.
Even the Heavenly Demons themselves did not know.
They were sent to the Nine Realms and Seventy-two Domains by a spatial cave, and what was on the other end of that cave, no one knows.
Some had ventured in, but even Cultivators at the Transcendance Tribulation Stage had gone and never returned.
"Alright, let's not dwell on this for now. Let's go, to Yin Yang Valley." Tang Rao waved his hand and returned to the vehicle, retracing his steps back towards Biyun.
The group sneaked up the mountain under the cover of night, finding the same cave they and Liu Shisan had used for tomb exploration, and entered in succession.
The vast space inside the cave shocked everyone.
Half an hour later, Tang Rao led the group to a courtyard situated within the cave, with the passage to the Yin Yang Valley inside it.
"Holy moly, there's even a courtyard here!" Liu Sanxing exclaimed upon seeing the courtyard.
The expressions of the others were similar to Liu Sanxing's; they wondered who could have built it and admired the effort.
"You go first, and remember, don't touch anything," Tang Rao said with narrowed eyes, addressing the group.
Without pondering much, they swaggered through the gate and into the courtyard.
Tang Rao, however, stayed outside.
His eyes were firmly fixed on the two stone statues at the courtyard gate.
One of an Evil Dragon, and one of a Dark Demon Lizard—though countless times smaller than their real counterparts, they looked strikingly similar and lifelike.
"With my current strength, which should be below a Golden Core but above a False Pill, I wonder if I can withstand those two lightning bolts," Tang Rao muttered to himself.
He always felt there was something off about those two statues; he didn't dare to test them last time due to his insufficient strength, but maybe this time he could.
"You all, step back a bit further," Tang Rao shouted to the several people who had already entered the courtyard.
Li Yuze and the others were somewhat surprised, not knowing what Tang Rao was about to do. Nonetheless, they didn't say much and took a few steps back as Tang Rao suggested, trying to distance themselves from the courtyard gate as much as possible.
"Abyssal Worm!" Tang Rao bellowed.
In the horrified eyes of Li Yuze and the others, the ground beneath Tang Rao suddenly exploded, and an enormously disgusting creature burst forth from underneath.
The Abyssal Worm had grown much larger compared to before, and its aura was incredibly fierce.
Its gigantic body stretched across the space—had it been any larger, the huge cave might not have accommodated it.
"Go," Tang Rao commanded without any nonsense, directing the Abyssal Worm to charge at the two statues.
The Abyssal Worm glanced at the two statues, issuing a muffled roar from its gaping mouth.
In the past, it had been badly tormented by these two statues, but now that its strength had increased, there was no reason to fear them anymore.
Boom!
The next moment, the Abyssal Worm lunged forward, its massive body slamming into the two stone statues by the courtyard gate.
Buzz!
On the statues, as before, two bolts of lightning lit up, one on each side, suddenly surging towards the Abyssal Worm.
"Crack! Crack!" Two thunderous sounds echoed.
The Abyssal Worm's flesh was splattered where it had been struck.
But the Abyssal Worm did not retreat, roaring angrily as it continued to charge forward.
Just as it was about to collide with the two statues, the ground suddenly lit up, with Array Seals and beams of white light crisscrossing to form a shield wall.
"Rumble!"
The enormous body of the Abyssal Worm hit the shield wall, shaking the entire cave as if an earthquake occurred.
With the loud noise, the body of the Abyssal Worm was completely overturned, rolling towards Tang Rao.
"Holy shit, that's crazy!" Tang Rao was startled and immediately moved to evade.
If he were hit by the Abyssal Worm, he wouldn't be injured, but goddamn, it would be so disgusting. It's an Abyssal Worm, the most unbearable of the otherworldly Heavenly Demons.
Being stuck with its slime would stink for ten days.
"Forget it, I'll do it myself." Tang Rao glanced at the disheveled Abyssal Worm, shrugged his shoulders, and prepared to take action personally.
The Abyssal Worm was simply too enormous; if it collided a few more times, the cave might collaps
Tang Rao did not use Spiritual Energy but slowly walked towards the statue of the Evil Dragon.
Ten meters, five meters…
When he was two meters away from the statue, lightning suddenly condensed on the Evil Dragon statue.
Crack!
The lightning struck at Tang Rao, its speed incredibly fast.
Bang!
A strong force burst forth from Tang Rao's body, the Nine Deaths Undying Body activated.
Taking it head-on!
"Thud!" The lightning collided with Tang Rao's body. Instead of being blown away, the electric light gave Tang Rao a warm feeling.
"Holy shit, what's going on?" Tang Rao was also stunned.
This lightning bolt had no lethality at all!
