World-saving Plan: The Only Savior

Chapter 197: Necro

"Stay alert, don't let your guard down!"

In front of the dust, Morris carefully reminded his teammates.

The explosion from the plasma grenade had some radiation, which made it impossible for their night-vision goggles to see what's happening inside the dust.

Everyone held their guns, nervously watching the area of the explosion.

If there was any movement inside, they would attack without hesitation.

Suddenly, Morris's eye twitched, and a sense of danger surged in his heart.

It was a feeling that made one's hair stand on end.

He had gone through this feeling before.

Since he started using the Dark Spiritual Artifact that enhanced danger perception, Morris had relied on this feeling to lead the team through several crises.

And now that sense of crisis was coming again, changing his expression.

Knowing that the Mutant wasn't dead, the danger was imminent.

"Watch out!!"

In that instant, Morris could only shout a reminder, then quickly dove to the side and retreated backward.

Next moment, a strong sound cut through the air.

A white figure flew out from the dust, heading straight to where Morris had just stood.

"Boom!!"

The sound of the wall breaking echoed.

The team hastily glanced over, only to see a massive metal door forcibly smashed into the wall.

Seeing this, Morris couldn't help but have his eye twitch.

Such Strength, if that hit landed on him earlier, even with his current Constitution, it would be a severe injury, if not Undying.

He thought this in his mind, but his hands didn't falter.

The barrel of his automatic rifle was already aimed in the direction the door flew from, and his finger fiercely squeezed the trigger.

Silent bullets shot out, thoroughly covering the small area ahead.

A robust figure charged out of the dust right afterward.

The Mutant leader, towering over 2.5 meters tall, rushed forward despite the bullet barrage!

The Rat Exterminator Team didn't expect this guy to be so fierce, as even their weapons' Killing Power couldn't stop him.

"Bang!!"

A dull sound echoed.

The opponent's speed was too fast; Morris couldn't dodge in time and was knocked flying.

"Ah!! Cough cough..."

Landing on the ground, he couldn't help but scream miserably, then spit out two mouthfuls of fresh blood.

Morris now felt as if every bone in his body was about to disintegrate, his vision filling with stars, his stomach burning with pain.

"Damn it!"

He bit his teeth hard, struggling to stand up and aimed the gun again, pulling the trigger.

But before the bullets could fire, he felt a pain on his forehead, and a large hand grabbed his head, lifting him up.

"Genetic Warrior... you shouldn't have come here!!"

The Mutant leader said with a grim face, clutching Morris's head with one hand.

His arms bulged with veins, obviously exerting force, seemingly wanting to crush Morris's head alive.

"Ah!!!"

Morris let out a heartrending scream, feeling his brain under an unparalleled pressure, as if it was going to explode the next second.

In contrast, the Mutant leader's Status was also very bad.

His body was bloody all over, and from parts burned by the Plasma Magnetic Storm Hand Grenade, white bones could be seen.

The previous shooting had also created seven or eight bloody holes in his chest, from which blood was flowing profusely. Clearly, he was nearing his end.

"Genetic Warrior! Crush you!!"

The Mutant leader roared angrily, grabbing Morris's head with both hands.

Fortunately, before he could exert any force, a teammate's support arrived.

Several guns spewed fire at him, bullets raining down on his body.

This guy was so huge and muscular, standing there like a big target, making it impossible to miss.

"Roar!! Roar!!"

The leader was repeatedly hit by bullets.

At such close range, even with physical Strength exceeding ordinary Mutants, he could not withstand such damage.

"Crush... crush you... crush... crush..."

The Mutant leader's voice grew fainter.

His grip loosened on Morris, his enormous body swayed a few times, then collapsed to the ground.

"Boss!!"

Jiko and others rushed over to check on Morris's injuries without a second thought.

"I'm, I'm fine... no need to worry..."

Morris lay on the ground, struggling to squeeze out a smile.

Then he raised his hand to his chest, as if trying to take something from the pocket there.

Seeing this, Jiko's eyes welled up with tears, grabbing Morris's hand and cried with grief:

"Boss! Don't die! We can't lose you! You must stay strong!!"

Morris stared wide-eyed.

"You... you... let go!"

He said as he raised his other arm, trying to reach into the pocket on his chest.

Jiko froze, then grabbed his other hand again, his broad shoulders trembling, tears streaming down his cheeks.

"Boss, I won't transfer your belongings! Whatever you have to give to your wife, take it to her when you're well yourself! I won't let you die like this!! Absolutely not!!"

He said, wiping his tears, prepared to carry Morris.

"Idiot!!"
