Having a chat with Chione was easier said than done, I had no idea where she lived. It was somewhere in the fairy realm, which required a bit of travel. Izanami should know and would hopefully share the information, we were allies of sorts after all.
But who would travel with me? We needed to keep our town and the gate safe. Lilith was rather powerful, she alone should be a large deterrent. We also had Meluza on our side now. The deal I had with the Dominion included a defensive pact. Then there were our maid knights.
Lucy would be with me, obviously. We had no intention of splitting up. But what about Lily, our head maid? And Shani? Kira? I had started training Kira's aura, having her with us would benefit her. Shani was a wildcard but sometimes surprisingly knowledgeable and certainly good in a fight. Lily… She knew how to cook. I had to admit I did enjoy having a maid around and she seemed to love the job.
Would our town be fine if Lucy, Lily, Kira, Shani and myself left? Probably. I still felt rather protective of Haruka but in the end, this was part of the plan to punish whoever had attacked her.
Sadly our train was still under construction, however we could travel rather quickly thanks to our power. Which was good, since I was still worried something could happen in our absence.
Our journey to Izanami's gate went smoothly. Once we arrived we were quickly greeted by the archfey.
"Amaya, Lucy it is good to see you again! And you have some new company?" She asked, looking at Kira.
"This is Kira, a storm dragon." I introduced her.
Kira bowed. "It is an honour, Lady of the Forest."
"Welcome to my home!" Izanami responded, then she addressed me again: "You have a talent for attracting powerful creatures to your court."
"We met because of my train and decided to join forces, I have started helping her develop her aura." I replied.

Izanami glanced at Lucy's tails. "You certainly have a good record when it comes to helping others with their aura."
Lucy grinned, petting her own tails. I pondered taking a step towards her and petting them as well.
"So, what brings you to my domain?" Izanami asked, interrupting my thoughts.
"We are looking for Chione." I replied.
Izanami's face grew more serious. "I see. Follow me inside, let's discuss this in private."
We soon found ourselves in a small sitting room with drinks in hand. I told her about the gate we had opened, Lilith's ascension to the third aura stage, our deal with the Dominion,...
I recounted most of our adventures since we had last met. I even included our discovery about the runes and our search for a way to teleport.
"You have been quite busy." Izanami replied, after some thought. "I am surprised you have no way to teleport back to your domain. I suppose your nature is to wander, not to settle."
"So you can teleport to your home?" Lucy asked.
Izanami nodded. "I can. However, my domain is part of my strength. I am more powerful here, within my forest. I can always return here but I have no power to create a teleportation elsewhere."
"Your forest grows on both sides of the portal! You found a natural gate, planted dryads on both sides and connected them with a grove! You have done something similar to what we did with hell." I suddenly realised.
She smiled. "Indeed. My forest grows on both sides. The fairy realm is much closer to the mortal plane than hell."
"So how does Chione teleport? She is not strong enough to have a domain." Lucy asked.
"She does not have a domain in the aura sense, that is true. She does have a home with a powerful connection to ice, a natural source. It is within the territory of the last Lady of Winter. Like many ice archfey she longs for the title that is currently unclaimed. I suspect Beira's greed for such a title let her down this dark path." Izanami replied.
"Hopefully Chione knows more about Beira's connection to hell and where she found those runes." I mused.
"What are your intentions towards her?" Izanami asked.
"Depends on her cooperation and involvement. She told Beira about us, which is something she has to answer for. I do not know how much she was involved but I might be merciful, if she cooperates." I replied.
"I shall trust your judgement, Storm." Izanami said. "I shall give you a map to her domain. If the ancient demon lords are involved in this plot it is concerning. A united hell would expand into other realms and would be a threat to us. If hell were to crown a king, the fey might need a queen."
"We should make a blood crown! It would look cool, right?" Shani suggested.
"And who would you crown, my dear?" Izanami asked.
"Not me." I interjected. "Having my own town is enough work and responsibility."
"But it would look good! The crown could occasionally drip a little! And every time you judge someone you could feed them to your crown!" Shani suggested.
"Obviously I would feed them to Haruka, she needs to grow strong." I countered.
"Make her a tiny crown too! Everyone gets crowns!" Shani suggested, her bunny ears twitching excitedly.
"That's not how crowns work." I pointed out.
Shani looked at me. "Hmmmm… Ok, everyone gets bunny ears made of blood!"
I sighed while Lucy laughed.
