Chapter 599: 0597 Dig a hole every day each hole is different.

In the restaurant, Lynch and Jenia sat facing each other.

Their chosen table wasn't large, here they still retained the traditional dining process, only one dish would be served at a time, and then the next course would be served while the plates were cleared away, which meant there didn't need to be too many plates on the table simultaneously.

The two were drinking wine, laughing softly, discussing rather ordinary topics, like trends in style.

"Since the latter half of last year, adventure-themed movies have started becoming popular here, and many people say you're the one who triggered this change. I've also accepted a film offer; once the weather gets warmer, filming will begin, and the location is Nagariel."

There was a sparkle in Jenia's eyes. The more she talked with Lynch, the more she understood about this young, handsome man who seemed almost flawless, and the more she felt a sense of bitterness.

It wasn't hatred towards Lynch, but resentment towards her own age, her upbringing that deprived her of true freedom, and her regret for meeting Lynch too late.

She didn't want to admit but had no choice but to do so; she was deeply attracted to the man nearly ten years younger than her.

His speech, his aura, his humor, his demeanor, his knowledge, his perspective...

Every aspect, even a single strand of Lynch's leg hair, seemed perfect to Jenia; he was just that attractive, causing her to reflect.

She looked at him, "When the time comes, you have to take care of me; that's your home turf!"

In fact, she originally didn't want to accept the film deal. Currently, the global film industry is indeed rushing to produce adventure-themed films, and the market has proven that such films are extremely popular regardless of the country.

Some analysis institutions also believe that in the future, in three to five years, adventure genres will be mainstream.

The influence of the world war is still spreading and ongoing, so movies with themes of teamwork and adventure spirit, with a hint of rebellion and resistance, will continue to have a market as it fills the emotional void left by the post-war era for some viewers.

Just like during the war when mainstream war films consistently had high box office returns, countries involved or uninvolved in the war all hope to hear good news and victory stories, so people did too; hence, some exaggerated war films, instead of being criticized, were incredibly successful.

Everyone hoped to achieve victory, so they first looked to movies to meet their needs in this aspect.

But now these war films are no longer effective; after the war ended, the pain inflicted by the war began to surface, and people began to hate, detest the suffering brought by the war, including disliking war films.

Every era, every period, has a mainstream cultural type to cater to the market.

Now it's adventure themes; in a few years, it will shift to new genres. In fact, some have noticed this trend, like some inspirational films are emerging, but the market isn't large enough, and capital seeks profit, so the main focus is still on adventure themes.

A variety of poorly crafted adventure-themed films are flooding the entire market, and Jenia wasn't planning to join this craze.

She herself was a member of the Imperial Family, with inherent advantages, allowing her greater choice in scripts, and besides, she was uninterested in filming such overdone themes.

If successful, others would consider it normal, as it's the mainstream genre, success is expected.

If, by chance, it failed, people would start talking about her identity, acting skills, and the like.

However, she changed her mind now; if she accepted one of the films, she might have to stay in Nagariel for a while, giving her ample time to happily spend time with Lynch.

"No problem!" Lynch replied quickly, and he also brought up a small request, "Tomorrow, someone is hosting a party for me; the attendees should all be local financial and political dignitaries. You know, I didn't plan for this, so I need a female companion."

Meeting Jenia's expectant gaze, Lynch continued, "If you don't mind, I'd like you to be my companion for the party."

"Just like you said..." Jenia raised her glass and clinked it with Lynch's, "No problem!"

As the two were happily chatting, a flash of white light passed outside; Lynch turned and stood up, shielding Jenia and looking outside.

On the street not far away was a reporter, as his gaze met Lynch's, he took off running and quickly disappeared into the night.

"It's probably a reporter." Jenia made a very accurate guess, "People love news related to the Imperial Family."

Lynch didn't sit back down; instead, he gestured outside.

The bodyguards dispersed more at the restaurant entrance, standing out on the street, ensuring Lynch wouldn't be disturbed again.

He turned to look at Jenia, "Do you want me to have someone chase the reporter down?"

"Chase him down?" She was momentarily stunned, then quickly shook her head, "No, no need. People do love news related to the Imperial Family, but they also know how to report it, so you don't need to worry about reporters writing excessively about you and me; they don't have the guts."

In the Federation, a parent sued the President for their child learning to curse from his speech. However, in Gafura, defamation of the Imperial Family is nearly equivalent to second-degree murder, and can keep someone incarcerated for life.

Even if a newspaper possesses some scandalous material about the Imperial Family, without the admission of any family member, they dare not release it casually.

The two of them returned to the dining table, chatting joyfully.

After dinner, they watched a movie and then returned to the hotel to continue a deep discussion on everything they were curious and concerned about.

Early the next morning, while Lynch was having breakfast in the hotel's restaurant, he saw the day's newspaper.

The front page headline of a local entertainment newspaper featured his photo, accompanied by the title "The Man Who Plucked the Flower of the Empire."

The entire front page, first page, and second page were filled with numerous photos, showing Lynch and Jenia dining at a restaurant, entering and leaving a cinema together, and finally entering a hotel together, along with copious explanatory text.

The text provided a detailed introduction to Lynch's identity, followed by how Lynch and Jenia met and quickly fell in love.

This report was quite intriguing, and Lynch enjoyed reading it, especially when they described the start of this "romance": "The moment Lynch met Jenia, he was captivated by her charm and fell at her feet..."

In other words, within less than... Lynch glanced at his watch, less than seventy-two hours of romance, he was the "proactive" party, which also indirectly elevated Jenia's status in this relationship.

"You've become famous..."

Lynch looked up and saw the team leader carrying a tray, already seating himself beside him. However, judging by his expression, he didn't seem to blame Lynch; instead, he seemed to be enjoying the spectacle.

For him and most members of the Federation delegation and people from the Federation Mainland, Lynch slept with the Emperor's sister the moment he arrived in the heart of the Gafura Empire. Could there be a better testament to the excellence of Federation men?

No!

Then this is a matter of pride, not unease.

Now everyone is starting to gradually adapt to the demeanor a powerful country should possess, which is quite an interesting thing!

Lynch placed the newspaper back on the table, crossed his legs, and smiled at the team leader, "I'm sorry I couldn't join you in discussing those matters last night. How did your discussions go?"

The team leader smiled while eating breakfast, "It went well. This time, the demands from the Gafurans were much more conservative compared to last time, less extreme, and easier to communicate."

During the last negotiation, the Gafurans had all sorts of harsh conditions, some might even say unreasonable, demanding this and that from the Federation, refusing to budge even on small issues, which dragged the negotiation out for an extended period.

But after experiencing a naval battle, the negotiations achieved unprecedented results, and many things became negotiable.

This time, the conditions proposed by the Gafurans are no longer so extreme and showed willingness to compromise to some extent, making it hard for the team leader who was part of the last negotiation to believe.

The principled Gafurans, uncompromising and even claiming "speak through war," just vanished, replaced by those who started to reason, all because they lost a naval battle.

And this further made him realize the essence of diplomacy, that everything is built on strength!

One must make the other party understand, diplomacy is only the result of everyone currently speaking civilization. If what cannot be obtained through diplomacy could be gotten via war, then the other party would find it challenging to hold onto their positions.

"I have an idea..."

Upon hearing Lynch has an idea, the team leader put down his food, picked up a napkin to wipe his hands and mouth, "Go ahead, I'm listening."

"I noticed that the two lists seemed to lack cultural exchanges, especially the one Gafura gave us."

"While realizing cooperation in various aspects between the two sides, shouldn't we also deepen some cultural exchanges?"

The team leader furrowed his brows in thought for a while, unable to grasp some of the nuances, "Is there anything particular about this?"

Lynch nodded slightly, "As the currently most powerful country in the world, mere business cooperation cannot make our relationship more intimate, but culture can."

"We can seek deeper understanding across society beyond these business exchanges, thereby strengthening the foundation for cooperation in all aspects between the countries."

After listening, the team leader nodded thoughtfully, "What you said seems to make some sense. I'll include this in the negotiation process, but you would need to negotiate with the Gafurans on this topic specifically."

Lynch nodded modestly, "It would be an honor!"
