Infinite wealth In A New World

Chapter 288: A Demon's Introduction

"Thank you, Princess. I understand." Natasha said, her voice stripped of its former arrogance, replaced by genuine humility. She executed a small, perfect bow.

A faint, almost ethereal smile touched Ellen's lips—a rare display of warmth. She stretched forth her hand, and a gentle wave of luminous, shimmering energy washed over Natasha. All traces of the bruising, the broken ribs, and the spilled blood vanished, leaving her body perfectly healed and her energy core fully restored.

"You don't have to thank me," Ellen replied, her voice soft but authoritative.

Natasha instinctively inspected herself. The healing was instantaneous and absolute. She stood in thoughtful confusion, her mind grappling with a single, monumental question:

'If this twelve-year-old princess possesses such mastery over Divine energy—healing as easily as she destroys—why is her father, the King, still searching for bodyguards? Is this elaborate tournament merely a show of dominance?'

She looked at the deceptively innocent girl. 'No. It's a calculated deception. No one would suspect a child capable of hiding such devastating strength. Her very appearance is the perfect disguise.'

Natasha slowly straightened, performing a deep, respectful bow—not of obligation, but of conversion.

"Princess Ellen," she began, her words echoing in the stunned arena. "You have not just defeated me; you have opened my eyes to the vast chasm between Power and true Mastery. I was blinded by my own rank." She swallowed her immense pride.

"My Princess, will you take me as your disciple and guide me in the true path of the Light Element?"

".....?!"

The request landed like a thunderclap. The entire audience, including the emissaries and royal families, was stunned into silence. The Ruler of Light, a Divine Rank power and the current pride of the Three-Eyed Nation, asking to become a disciple to a twelve-year-old! It was beyond precedent; it was an act of extreme, desperate humility.

Ellen looked over her shoulder toward her father, who offered a subtle, almost imperceptible nod of approval. She turned back to Natasha, her gaze penetrating.

"Very well. I accept," Ellen confirmed, causing a collective gasp from the audience. "However, there are conditions. The first thing you must do as my disciple is to apologize, genuinely, to my father. Blatantly challenging him—the King of Eldoria—is an insult to his position, his people, and the legacy he protects."

Natasha felt a fresh sting of shame. 'Is she implying I am not worthy to even stand in the presence of the King of Eldoria?'

Then, a sobering realization hit her: 'No... looking at his daughter, I am indeed not worthy. If his twelve-year-old heir could so easily defeat and humiliate me, what depths of power must the King himself conceal?'

She nodded, her resolve solidifying. She walked past Ellen and gave a low, formal bow toward the royal platform—a bow meant for the sovereign.

"King God Wolf." she articulated clearly, "I apologize for my rude behavior and the arrogant disrespect shown toward your divine authority. I humbly ask for your forgiveness."

'I foolishly sought to test my strength against a Peak God Rank,' Natasha reflected bitterly.

'Yet, his daughter, who is supposedly in the same Divine Rank as me, defeated me without effort. If the gap between Divine Ranks can be this absolute, how could I possibly hope to challenge a true God Rank?'

"Hey! I want to challenge you now!"

The new voice, sharp and slightly bored, cut through the heavy atmosphere. Everyone, including Natasha, snapped their attention up to the platform. Jinx was on her feet, a challenging smirk playing on her lips, her purple hair shimmering in the arena light.

"Please sit down, Jinx." Sunny said, his tone carrying a note of mild annoyance.

"Huh? My little sister fought her. Shouldn't I give it a try?" Jinx insisted, adjusting a non-existent cuff.

"Your bloodline skill is beyond calculation—it's a nightmare. You aren't going—"

"—Sorry to interrupt, My King," Natasha interjected, her voice respectfully yet firmly cutting Sunny off. The defeat had somehow made her more assertive, more eager to prove her worth.

"If the eldest Princess would honor me with a friendly match, I will not refuse."

'My energy and injuries have been restored and cured by Princess Ellen; I am completely fresh,' Natasha thought, the fire in her eyes reignited.

'Besides, this girl is still only listed as Celestial Rank. Her power cannot possibly exceed her sister's in the same way.' She turned to her new teacher.

"What do you say, Master?"

Jinx frowned, looking down at Natasha. "Did that lady just call me a Princess? Do I look like a princess?" Her question was delivered with genuine offense.

"Oh, Jinx," Queen Josephine chuckled softly, a playful smirk touching her lips. "You are indirectly a member of the royal family and Eldoria's greatest unofficial asset, so yes. You are a princess."

"...?!"

Jinx was visibly flabbergasted by the Queen's classification, momentarily stunned into silence.

Sunny sighed internally, pinching the bridge of his nose. 'This Natasha... You couldn't defeat Ellen. How do you plan on facing Jinx, the embodiment of primordial chaos? If Ellen is a serene Angel, Jinx is the unpredictable Demon. Her powers are way beyond conventional scaling. Someone that could wipe out tens of thousands of Mercenaries and creations in minutes.'

He glanced at his two daughters. 'These two girls cannot be calculated by standard cultivation Ranks. Any of them could effortlessly take down a God Rank master, even when technically listed as Celestial or Divine Rank. If this challenge had occurred before their Bloodlines were fully unsealed, Natasha might have had a chance. But now... it's a useless, painful lesson she insists on learning.'

He finally relented, giving a curt nod. "She accepted your challenge, Natasha. I have nothing further to say on the matter."

Ellen listened to her father's resignation, watched her sister's predatory grin, and observed the eager expectation in Natasha's eyes.

'She is fundamentally unchanged,' Ellen thought with a subtle shake of her head.

'The defeat taught her humility, but not true caution. She always wants to be on top; she demands to be the strongest. Very well. If she refuses to accept the difference between Eldorian Royal Blood and the outside world's cultivation, she will have to learn the hard way—twice.'

Ellen nodded at her new disciple. "You may proceed. If you manage to last two full rounds under my sister, I will personally reward you with a fully-starred grand class weapon of your choice."

"Hahaha! That's excellent!" Jinx laughed, the sound carrying a note of sharp, exciting malice.

"I certainly won't hold back, then." She descended from the platform, moving with a fast, unsettling, almost blurring gait.

"Wow! Another totally unexpected battle!" someone in the audience shouted, excitement overriding caution.

"I am confused, is this still the bodyguard competition, or a showcase of the Royal Lineage?" a woman asked in mild confusion.

"Who cares! This is even more amazing! We get to see Eldoria's other Princess's strength," a man said with a smirk, leaning forward. "If the younger Princess is this powerful, the older one will be a true monster!"

"Hahaha! This is going to be incredibly interesting!"

All eyes were riveted on the two combatants—the veteran Ruler of light seeking redemption and the unpredictable, chaos-wielding Princess—waiting for the second, unexpected battle of the day to commence.
