The three remaining Ogres were colossal, armored figures, yet they instantly collapsed to their knees, their bodies shuddering like children caught stealing.
"Please! Don't kill us! We were just following orders!"
"Yes, Grandfather! Please! Have mercy!"
Sunny frowned, the sight of their terror offering him no satisfaction—only a utilitarian need for information. "The first to answer my question will have a chance of leaving here alive," he stated, his voice a low, lethal murmur.
The Ogre kneeling in the center immediately betrayed his comrades, his voice a desperate, high-pitched scream:
"The prisoners are citizens of the Nine Races, excluding Ogres! We kidnapped them and lock them in these strongholds, and ship them to the Wendigos' Main Headquarters!"
THUD! THUD!
"...?!"
The betrayer looked to his sides in horrified confusion. His two silent comrades had simply fallen over, lifeless. Their bodies bore no marks, no wounds, yet they were utterly dead.
The cold certainty of his own imminent demise fueled the remaining Ogre's panic. "God Wolf! Please! I told you! I'll tell you everything!"
"Where are the other strongholds?" Sunny asked, his gaze drifting over the Dragonesses' cage, his demeanor unchanged by the casual execution of the two silent Ogres.
"The... The Wendigos have three strongholds and one headquarters! I don't know the headquarters' coordinates, but... but I know the other two strongholds' locations! I swear!" he stammered, pouring out the locations and approximate defensive structures in a breathless rush.
Sunny turned back to the Dragonesses' cage, then gave the Ogre a slow, chilling nod. "Thank you."
He snapped his fingers. The heavy metal bars of the cage and the thick, chains binding the ten young women instantly shattered, dissolving into shimmering dust that fell to the stone floor.
"...?!"
The Dragonesses gasped, not in relief, but in fresh terror, instinctively pressing themselves into the back of the cage, wary of the strange, immensely powerful being who had appeared from nowhere.
"Don't be scared," Sunny said, his voice softening. "I am God Wolf. I am here to rescue you all."
The young Dragoness who had spoken earlier, stood up. She ignored Sunny, her eyes, still blazing in rage; locked onto the cowering, trembling Ogre. She moved with the slow, deliberate focus of a predator. The chains were gone, but the humiliation and suffering remained, palpable in the air.
Seeing the raw, lethal intent in her eyes, Sunny did not intervene. He snapped his fingers again. Dark, ethereal chains burst from the stone floor and bound themselves around the Ogre, dragging him into the center of the cage floor before the ten women.
"NO!!"
The Ogre screamed in terror; While the Dragonesses watched in confused shock. Then, small daggers materialized on the ground around the perimeter of the cage.
"This creature," Sunny said, his voice hard and uncompromising:
"Has committed horrors against your kin and has no right to a quick, clean death."
Slowly, hesitantly, the Dragonesses stooped, their hands shaking as they grasped the handles of the daggers. The lady was the first to move, her expression one of cold, focused vengeance. The others followed her lead, walking towards the chained Ogre.
"No! What are you doing?! No—!"
BAM!! BAM! BAM!!
Sunny stood motionless, and watched as their pent-up rage, fear, and grief were unleashed in a brutal, two-minute frenzy of desperate stabbing and slashing.
"...?!!"
When they finally stopped, the Ogre was a mangled, unrecognizable mess. The ten young women stood over the corpse, breathing heavily, their bodies covered in blood, their eyes no longer lifeless, but shining with a terrible, dark catharsis.
"Good," Sunny stated, his approval quiet but firm. He turned to the other cages and snapped his fingers, shattering every lock and chain in the room.
He watched as people from the remaining cages cautiously began to emerge.
'Casey's intel reported 49 youngsters, yet I see more than fifty adults and children in plain sight. Ellen's 'God Eyes' skill also only picked up 49 distinct life-signs.' he thought with a slight frown.
'The discrepancy confirms a cloaking equipment or a potent anti-divination barrier,' he concluded.
'Vince must have his preparations complete by now.' He thought. His voice then resonated, filling the large underground prison, reaching every startled soul.
"I know you have all suffered a great injustice. But this is not the time to rest. You are still within the enemy den, and to ensure not one more of you falls, you will follow my orders precisely."
He snapped his fingers, and the space beside him tore open, forming a shimmering Gateway.
"This leads directly to my nation, Eldoria! It is a nation primarily of the Beastify race," he announced, watching the shock and disbelief bloom on the faces of the Beastify captives in the group—faces that suddenly held a glimmer of true hope.
"Yes, I am God Wolf! The Ruler of Eldoria! If you step through this gate, you become my people, under my rule and protection!" he declared, cutting straight to the terms.
"Of course, You may later choose to leave, or bring your families to my nation, but the rule is absolute: whoever enters is under my banner! Decide now!"
The crowd exchanged glances. For the Beastify people, the decision was immediate. Without hesitation, they surged forward, crossing the threshold into the Gateway, seeking the protection of their kin. More and more captives followed, and In less than five minutes, only the ten Dragonesses remained. They stood together, looking at the lady, waiting for her lead.
"What is your name?" Sunny asked, focusing on Eve, who still stared at the Ogre's corpse.
"Eve," she replied, her voice steady now, but hollow. "Eve Stone."
Sunny subtly scanned her profile.
{Name: Eve Stone.}
{Race: Dragon.}
{Bloodline: Hell Dragon. (Type: Epic)}
{Rank: Heavenly. Stage 5 (Peak).}
{Strength: 25,000.}
{Agility: 20,000.}
{Stamina: 40,000.}
{Defense: 40,000.}
{Attack: 25,000.}
{Celestial energy: 5,000.}
{Magic resistance: 1,000.}
{Loyalty: 20%.}
{Note: Target's cultivation core has been destroyed.}
'Her stats are formidable, even without her core,' Sunny mused. 'A Heavenly Peak Stage warrior, reduced to this.'
{The core can be restored with ten Evolution Stones.}
Sunny frowned slightly. 'Ten... I only have forty left.'
{Healing her core will not only significantly increase her loyalty, but can also upgrade her Bloodline to the Legendary rank.}
'Show me the Legendary Bloodline Advantage,' he requested mentally.
{Bloodline Advantage: Gain 100% immunity to fire attack, bombs, and all kinetic explosives. Increase dragon fire damage by 50%. Defense permanently increases by 50%.}
'Complete immunity to fire and explosives... that's invaluable.' He thought.
Sunny offered a genuine smile this time, stretching forth his hand for a handshake across the blood-stained floor.
"I noticed you were the only true warrior among them. I have the means to restore your powers to their peak state, and even help you advance past the Celestial Rank," he promised.
"Not only that, you and your friends will have a life of safety, respect, and purpose in Eldoria and other races"
His gaze was steady, and utterly sincere. "All you have to do is accept my offer and become my Seventh Subordinate. You would be an essential pillar of my nation."
"What say you?" he asked, waiting patiently for the decision that would reshape her life.
