Wizard: Adventures in Two Worlds

Chapter 292: 124 First Arrival (Please Collect)

Magic Forest.

Also known as the Land of the Gods' Curse.

In a distant era, a war among divine beings erupted here, and unknown beings fell. This ultimately created this special region.

Southward, beyond the thousands of miles of the Cursed Jungle, lies the Eastern Kingdom Continent; to the north, across the azure seas, is the legendary Kaliem Continent.

However, the Cursed Jungle is a forbidden area for living beings, and the azure waters are vast and boundless, making them nearly impossible to cross. This rendered the Magic Forest an enclave.

Here, there were decaying creatures, undead monsters, and ordinary people struggling to survive. There were also Wizards seeking truths and exploring mysteries.

The unique geographical environment and disordered laws of survival kept the Magic Forest in a state of chaos. For countless years, there has never been true unity in this land. Even the Wizard Organizations from the Kaliem Continent could only establish a small outpost here. The Six Rings Tower was one such outpost.

「Atop a mountain, inside a Wizard Tower.」

Daniel, dressed in a Wizard Robe and holding a Magic Wand, waved it gently, activating the tower's defenses. Here, with the help of the Wizard Tower, he, a First Circle Wizard, could exhibit the strength of an Advanced Second Circle Wizard.

The academy was paying less and less attention to the Magic Forest. Wizard Bella stood aside, watching the worn-out Star Gate slowly react, shook her head helplessly, and said, "Every ten years, Wizards should be sent to replace them. It was bad enough that the ones who came last decade were only Wizard Apprentices. This time, they simply transferred people from other places. It's truly... more and more perfunctory."

Her voice carried evident dissatisfaction. In the past, she had been forcefully sent here and couldn't even refuse, while others could stay away. All because I lacked connections in the Six Rings Tower!

"Having someone come is better than no one," Daniel said with a light smile. "You know as well, the Magic Forest is far less convenient than the Kaliem Continent in terms of training and interaction. Wizards of the academy made great efforts not to be assigned here."

"Hmph!" Bella scoffed. Her displeasure was precisely over this issue; back then, she had also sought many connections, all to no avail.

"Alright," Archie's voice was hoarse. "The Star Gate has opened. People from the other side will come anytime. Don't let the newcomers laugh at us."

Bella pursed her lips upon hearing this. In just over a year, Archie's thirty-year rotation period would be fulfilled, enabling him to return to the Wizard Tower at the academy. He naturally had no objections.

BUZZ...

The Star Gate's halo flared brightly. The three Wizards each took a step back, deploying Defensive Magic while locking their Offensive Magic onto the Star Gate. Although the chance of an error during transmission was tiny, an invasion by Star Realm Creatures was also possible. Even with a one in ten thousand chance, it was still necessary to be prepared.

The halo slowly faded, revealing a dozen Wizards and Wizard Apprentices, laden with large and small bags, appearing in the area. They mostly had a baffled look, clearly not yet accustomed to the shock brought by spatial travel.

"Barbarians!" Bella murmured quietly.

Among these new arrivals, although there was one Official Wizard, their clothing, behavior, and demeanor all exuded a rural air.

"Miss Marian!" Daniel was the first to dispel his magic, stepping forward with a smile. "Welcome! Welcome to the Magic Forest!"

"I forgot to introduce myself!" He straightened up, tapped his forehead with his left hand, and said, "My name is Daniel. This is Wizard Archie, and this is Wizard Bella. We are all members of the Six Rings Tower."

"Greetings," Marian said, her eyes showing the wariness typical of meeting strangers for the first time, as she bowed to the three. "I am Marian from the Eastern Kingdom Continent, and these are the juniors accompanying me. Nancy, come and meet the three seniors."

Nancy was the only official disciple Marian brought, an Advanced Wizard Apprentice with Second-Tier Talent. An Advanced Wizard Apprentice wasn't much in the eyes of three Official Wizards, but Second-Tier Talent held a different significance. It meant that with sufficient resources, Nancy's chance of ascension to an Official Wizard was as high as seventy percent.

Seventy percent was a very high probability. Actually, the chance of many Wizard Apprentices progressing was only thirty to forty percent, their advancement largely dependent on luck.

And among the Wizard Apprentices who came to the Magic Forest, Nancy wasn't the only one with Second-Tier Wizard Talent. Oma was another! The two not only had the opportunity to advance to Official Wizards but could even become Second Circle Wizards.

"Second-Tier Wizard Talent!" Daniel exclaimed with emotion. "It looks like, in not too many years, we will have two more Official Wizards here."

"Indeed," Wizard Archie nodded. "Although the Eastern Kingdom Continent is not suitable for Wizard training, it has a greater possibility of producing those with excellent talent."

Even Bella, who initially scorned everyone, looked serious now.

"No matter how good the talent is, it all depends on how they develop in the future," Marian shook her head. "Moreover, they are already among the best Wizard Apprentices from several nations; percentage-wise, it's actually very low."

This was true. On the Kaliem Continent and in the Magic Forest, due to the large number of Wizards, more people were born with Wizard Talent from their unions. In contrast, in the Eastern Kingdom Continent, a city of several hundred thousand might not produce even one individual with Wizard Talent in a year. The proportions were pitifully small.

"Haha..." Daniel laughed heartily. "Let's talk about the future when it comes! I've already arranged a banquet to welcome your arrival. Today, focus on eating well and resting. Tomorrow, we'll discuss further arrangements."
