Unrivaled in another world

Chapter 135: The Apostles Struggles

[: 3rd POV :]

The air trembled, not with wind or thunder, but with the raw resonance of a being beyond comprehension.

Daniel hovered silently amidst the ruins, his wings folding and unfolding like living shadows and light, each feather glinting with gold, silver, and black energy that seemed to exist outside the concept of time itself.

Azarkon, Vaelgor, Seraphis, and Minerva all had recovered from the shock of having their apocalyptic onslaught undone, but their confidence was now tinged with unease.

Even as the colossal forms of their ultimate transformations appeared once more, something invisible pressed down on them: a suffocating presence of inevitability.

"Enough games," Azarkon growled, his voice like volcanic rock grinding.

"I will crush this… mortal!"

Vaelgor's flames flared, scorching the air.

"No one, not a single being, can defy the will of the universe! Not without paying the price!"

Seraphis's shadows coiled like living serpents around her form, her voice cold yet edged with doubt.

"Death answers to no one… yet I feel… hesitation…"

Minerva's eyes narrowed, the Spark of Overrule humming violently in her hands.

"We shall show him the meaning of apocalypse… no, of annihilation itself!"

And then Daniel smiled, that slow, predatory curve of his lips.

It was not arrogance, but certainty.

The kind that comes from absolute knowledge of one's place beyond power, beyond time, beyond law.

He lifted his hand, and the air itself trembled.

[: Divine Alteration :]

A sphere of dark and radiant energy expanded from him, encompassing the Apostles.

Within that sphere, reality twisted and bent.

Gravity reversed; Azarkon's colossal claws, mid-strike, bent backwards as if attached to elastic threads.

Vaelgor's suns of fire wavered, flickering between existence and non-existence.

Seraphis's waves of death energy slowed, unravelling in midair.

Even Minerva's sword of apocalypse trembled.

"You still think your powers can touch me?"

Daniel's voice rang across the sphere, calm yet terrifying.

Vaelgor roared and summoned another sun of fire, molten and incandescent, hurtling it toward Daniel like a miniature star.

The ground buckled under its heat.

Yet, as it struck the invisible barrier Daniel had erected with a casual flick of his wrist, the sun imploded before it could even graze him, vaporising in an explosion of harmless sparks.

[: Absolute Nullification :]

Vaelgor's eyes widened as he realised that every attack, every law, every power intended to harm Daniel, simply bent to accommodate Daniel's existence.

The flames that should have consumed even the laws turned into nothing.

Even his attempts at improvisation, the raw chaos of his fire, failed to breach the absolute resistance of the mortal before him.

Azarkon lunged, blackened claws slicing through the air at supersonic speed.

Daniel tilted his head lazily, his hand tracing an invisible sigil in the air.

The claws disintegrated before reaching him.

[: Reality Distortion :]

Space itself warped around Azarkon.

Every movement he made was subtly rewritten by Daniel, sending him crashing into the empty void he himself had summoned.

Time, space, and probability converged in Daniel's favour.

A single misstep, a single microsecond altered, and Azarkon's attacks folded back upon themselves.

Azarkon's roar turned to a strangled hiss.

"This… cannot be! I am the Destroyer of Worlds! My might, my sacrifices, nothing can be undone!"

Daniel's voice was soft, almost contemplative.

"And yet, it is undone. Because I'm not limited to your concept of sacrifices"

Seraphis moved next, her Omen of Death descending in waves of black and violet, undead swarming like insects over the battlefield.

Her aura of inevitability pulsed, an ancient power meant to erase even gods.

[: Divine Alteration :]

Daniel extended both hands, and the laws of death bent like wax.

Undead evaporated mid-step; the necrotic energies folded in on themselves.

Even the essence of death itself quivered, refusing to obey the Apostle's command.

Her eyes widened in disbelief.

"You… impossible…" she gasped.

"I am death incarnate! I command inevitability!"

"And I am beyond death and I'm the death's lover," Daniel replied, voice calm.

''What...?'' Seraphis was speechless.

Minerva, seeing her allies undone, clenched her Spark of Overrule tighter, her black wings expanding. "I am the Apocalypse itself! I will not be stopped!"

[: Divine Alteration :]

Daniel didn't respond verbally.

Instead, he activated a ripple that distorted the laws of material existence around her.

The continents she had been swinging like toys folded in on themselves, reforming harmlessly around Daniel's silhouette.

Her black armour shattered like glass, wings disintegrated into starlight, and the sword of apocalypse itself bent as if it were made of molten wax.

Even her most disciplined concentration faltered.

"N-no… this… cannot…"

[: Unfathomable Resilience :]

Every Apostle lashed out again, combining all their forces into a cataclysmic torrent.

Azarkon's gravity, Vaelgor's fire, Seraphis's death, and Minerva's apocalypse simultaneously strike Daniel from four directions.

Yet Daniel remained unharmed.

Not a scratch marred his form. Not a tremor shook his stance.

His Absolute Ascension aura absorbed and rewrote every strike, every energy, every destructive force directed at him.

The world itself became a shield for the Absolute Being.

[: Ultimate Creation :]

With a thought, Daniel conjured weapons, shields, and constructs from nothing.

Gargantuan blades of interwoven divine light and void, spheres of annihilation, chains of probability that bent chance and outcome, all erupted around him, forming an arsenal beyond imagination.

Each construct obeyed his whims instantly, adapting to the Apostles' movements and countering attacks before they began.

Vaelgor swung a fire-laden wing; Daniel conjured a mirrored sphere of creation around it, reflecting the flames to him.

Azarkon's claws sought his neck; chains of impossibility bound him mid-flight.

Seraphis summoned waves of death; orbs of creation reversed her command, turning death into instantaneous healing for the destroyed cities below.

Minerva lunged with continents; Daniel split reality itself, reforming the land to shield himself while compressing Minerva into a bubble of zero-space.

"Look at you all," Daniel's voice rippled across the battlefield, serene yet scathing.

"Clinging to power like mortals clinging to hope. But hope is irrelevant here. I am the law, the breaker of law, the maker of law."

[: Ascension of Power :]

Daniel's aura flared brighter.

He absorbed fragments of the Apostles' power, converting their might into his own.

Each attempt to harm him only strengthened him, further bending probability and reality to his favour.

The more they fought, the more impossible he became.

Azarkon's eyes narrowed in fury.

"We can't even do anything to him?"

Vaelgor, flames sputtering with disbelief, growled, "What kind of being are we facing...?''

Seraphis floated, trembling. "He… he rewrites death… he rewrites power… he rewrites everything…"

Minerva's hands shook around the Spark of Overrule. "He is… not a mortal. He is… impossible…"

Daniel hovered, wings fully extended, every feather a mixture of light, shadow, gold, and silver.

His eyes, silver-white, diamond-shaped, pierced through the void of the battlefield. He raised a single hand, and with a casual flick:

[: Divine Alteration :]

He rewrote gravity, time, damage, life, death, and every law surrounding them.

The Apostles screamed, realising that even their ultimate transformations were now tools for Daniel's amusement.

Daniel's calm voice cut through the chaos:

"You tried to be gods. You tried to wipe this world, yet, here you are struggling to even to touch a single strand of my hair''

Azarkon's roar echoed, half of anger, half of terror. "

We cannot… we cannot defeat him!"

Daniel's smile deepened.

"You are right. You cannot. Because I am Absolute. Because I am Ascension. Because I am beyond your understanding, your gods, your apocalypse, your everything."

And with that, Daniel raised both hands, wings outstretched, and the battlefield—time, space, law, reality—bent completely to his will.

The Apostles could do nothing but scream.

Their forms shattered under the weight of his rewriting, their ultimate powers dissolved before manifestation, and their authority over death, fire, gravity, and apocalypse was rendered meaningless.

[: Absolute Being: Absolute Ascension :]

Time itself flowed according to his will.

Reality obeyed his whims.

Laws of the universe, probability, creation, destruction, death, life, all bent and swirled around him like clay in the hands of a sculptor.

The Absolute Being had awakened fully.

And the Apostles, for all their centuries of power, all their might, all their devotion to apocalypse, realised in that instant that they were nothing.

Nothing but mortals before an entity that had no limits.

Nothing but insects before a being that could rewrite existence itself.

Nothing but failures before the Absolute Ascension.
