[: 3rd POV :]
Gazing at Lyysandros last effort, Daniel laughed and it cut through silent.
The runes along Lysandros's chamber flickered and crawled outward, their red light eating the walls in tongues.
He leaned against a broken pillar with the ease of a man who had already killed monsters that could wipe a city, and watched the panic in the pillar's eyes like a spectator enjoying a play.
"I should have expect that someone like you wouldn't play fair"
"But oh well"
Daniel said, voice low and almost amused.
"Summon your lord or whoever you wish to come and I'll wait"
"Maybe they'll put you out of your misery gently."
Lysandros's smile hardened.
He straightened, robes falling like a shadow.
"Keep your confidence, butcher," he spat.
"You've ended my brothers, erased my work, and humiliated me, so yes, I will call down a hand that will grind you under its heel."
"Because you think your lord will protect you?" Daniel's eyes narrowed, violet flames licking at the edges.
"For how many bases I've destroyed had said the same thing?"
"Maybe he will protect me," Lysandros said, stepping toward the central ring he had carved into the floor, fingers trailing along the iron.
"Because he is the only power left that can answer my plea." He sank to the iron ring and slammed his palm down.
The sigils ignited like veins; the runes across the Colosseum crawled upward like frost.
Daniel watched, expression unchanging, though behind his calm was the proximity of his own power, like a taut wire ready to snap.
"Then call them," he said.
A hollow, triumphant laugh answered from the assembled cultists.
"Now, witness the price of your folly," Lysandros declared.
"Behold, my lord will not be denied."
Outside, the situation had worsen.
The people who were just watching with fear in their eyes had now sucken into despair.
After all, who wouldn't be speechless if suddenly, a crack had tore open above the sky.
It wasn't a phenomen or a gate that the world had allowed it to happen.
It made the space around it bent and screamed.
From the ground beneath, a crimson light, thick and heavy, thrust upward.
It was not light that flowed but the kind of light that acts as a pillar forcing itself through flesh.
It was because of those scriptures and runes so ancient that had made this process successful.
It was after all, a way and a path for another real to forcibly enter.
And from that realm, a voice spoke.
"Spark of Overrule."
The single phrase uncoiled like an iron chain and struck the air.
It was not a sound so much as command turned into noise.
The moment it landed, reality around the whole world had been overwritten.
The rules of the world trembled.
The laws that had quietly held the world together, the trivial physics of falling rain, the sanctity of hearth fire, the subtle balances of mind and body, flickered as if a hand had passed and rerouted their pathways.
The world screamed.
Not in a human wail, but in the scream of the Will itself.
It wasn't simply being overwrite, it was changing the entirety of the world which was impossible to begin with.
The Will of the World, the subtle patient entity that tended ley and life, pulled against the incursion like a creature caught by a spear.
For a moment, the will of the world screamed.
If it could be seen, the will of the world would have rolled through the ground with its lungs being suffocated.
However, after the voice had spoke, a silhouette could been seen coming out from the crack.
It was none other than Minerva, one of the Apostle of the Apocalypse Sovereign.
She appeared in the torn sky like a shard of night embroidered with stars.
Her halos cracked and bled starlight as she stepped down, voice ringing across the crimson.
"So… this is the planet that dares to defy my Lord?" She spoke with a low tone.
Afterwards, Vaelgor arrived, a furnace of eyes and ash, and behind him Seraphis drifted like a silk shadow, her veil fluttering with every unreadable smile.
Azarkon was the last with his scales flashed blackly as he took position, tail coiling with an impatient lethal grace.
They were apostles in flesh, embodiments of the Sovereign's will.
They were the representative of Apocalypse itself.
"Then for that reason alone," Minerva intoned, and the words were law, "all of you shall perish."
Lysandros's face split with exultation.
He had been trembling in a cage of fear, but now the tremor was different, it was triumph.
"My lord's Apostles!" he cried, his voice cracking with delirium.
For how long had he been waiting for this moment to come and to him, it's like a dream come true.
Daniel looked up at the beings who now paced the torn sky like predators atop a cliff.
He felt the gravity of their presence, the corrosive chill that rearranged thought at the edges, but he did not bow.
He did not flinch.
The void around him rose obediently like a tide.
In the beginning, he wasn't afraid of them.
"What a disappointing planet" Vaelgor growled, stepping closer to the rupture they had forced.
Minerva turned her head slowly, those galaxy-pinned eyes taking him in as if weighing a mote of dust.
"So is he the one?," she observed"
"The one who dares to injure our lord?" She regarded Lyysandros briefly.
"T-That's right!"
Lysandros swelled with insolent joy.
"He's the one that has been disrupting our lord plans!"
Vaelgor with volcanic mirth, Seraphis with a cold, narrow sound.
"Such a puny human had done such a thing? I wonder what kind of treasures he holds" Azarkon said.
None of the Apostles dares to believe that Daniel had managed to injure their Lord with his own power.
It was ridiculous and it was more believing to say that he possessed a treasures that have the means and calibre to manifest such power.
It was the only convincing method and they chose to believe that.
"It would be wonderful if we can take that treasure and present it to our lord" Seraphis declared as she gazed at Daniel with greed.
"But before that, we shall paint the whole world with their blood!" Seraphis said, almost delighted.
As she declared, a small orb had begun to gather around her hand wit a horrid hunger.
At first it was just a small harmless orb, but it grew bigger and bigger till it became the size of a sun.
It blocked the light rays from the sun and from the perspectives of the people, it was as though the Apocalypse had arrived.
At the same time, there was a mysterious effect from her ability.
The orb that had grew to the size of the sun had absorbed mana all around it until the Mana Essence became thin.
"Kill all of them," Minerva ordered quietly.
"Kill the whole world while the Overrule is still in effect"
She extended her hand, and the Spark of Overrule flared, a lattice that rewrote the rules.
Depending on the ranking of a world, there were limits to how high the world's inhabitants highest power levels could go.
For this world, the highest was only Mythic, hence, if there was invasion, the highest ranking an invader could enter was Mythic.
This wasn't just simply because of the will of the world.
This was also due to the effect of the will of the universe.
The Will of the world is connected to the will of the universe since the will of the universe couldn't directly influence a world.
But with a treasure like Spark of the Overrule, such influence could be overwrite.
It didn't overwrite permanently, it could only overwrite temporarily.
Otherwise, the Will of the Universe would directly interfere.
After all, in the end, the whole universe is about the survival of the strongest and it wouldn't protect every planet.
The Spark responded, patterns within it shifted like the turning of gears, rewriting the world rules.
On the other hand, countless powerhouses were in disbelief by the phenomenon happening around the world.
Minerva's face was unreadable as she watched the Orb grow, beauty and horror spun in equal measure.
"This is but a taste of what is to come," she said softly.
"You see? You see how my lord answers! The Butcher will watch as his world burns, and then...then we will take our place."
Lysandros, drunk on his triumph, spat.
Daniel looked at the Pillar who had wagered the city, at the apostles who had arrived like executioners.
For a fleeting second, the fury inside him hardened into something narrower, colder, not for vengeance now, but for protection.
This was no longer about eliminating the Zero Organization.
This was war, a declaration for him that no matter what, the Apocalypse Sovereign must be eliminated.
Even though he had been wanting to eliminate the Zero Organization, the whole world had now been involved.
He didn't want any of the innocents to be involved or die due to him.
Hence, there's no more holding back.
This's no longer about overpowering or testing his powers.
Now, it's about eliminating and eradicating till none of them are alive.
He stepped forward, void coils wrapping like a cloak, voice steady.
"You dare to declare that you will kill the whole world?" Daniel questioned with a deep voice.
Vaelgor laughed, twin scorchings across his throat.
"Why wouldn't we be daring?"
"In fact, we should be asking you that"
"How dare a mortal disrespects us" Vaelgor spoke as he gazed at Daniel as though he was looking at a clown.
"Don't waste our time Vaelgor. Seraphis, just kill and take his treasure" Minerva was impatient as she wants to get this over with.
"I'll be done in a second" Seraphis declared as the orb had swelled, and it was hungry for more.
By now, Daniel and all of the Rulers in the world could feel it.
The sensation of the world was changing, and they could feel the pull and the pressure of a new law forming itself around the world.
Watching this scenery with the Army of the Apocalypse Sovereign appearing one by one, Daniel was calmed.
He was taking a deep breath and slowly, his power were starting to loosen.
He understood the scale now, Apostles had come, a treasure had been used and the planet's rules had been rewritten.
This was no longer a game, but war, a kind of war that decides the fate of the world, and none of the world could realize that their fate was dependent on Daniel.
To face beings that were above the grades of Mythic, what else could be better than this?
As Daniel gazed towards the 4 Apostles and their Armies, he muttered with a declaration,
[: Absolute Being: Absolute Ascension :]
