Checking in for 100,000 Years

Chapter 426: A Container from Cangnan Continent

BOOM!

BOOM!

The sound of the chains disappeared, followed by a huge impact, even more violent than the sound of the chains. To Ye Yun's ears, it already sounded like an explosion.

An interested expression appeared on Ye Yun's face. It seemed that this trip to the Black Sky Burial Ground wouldn't disappoint him.

"Brother Yun, should we continue going in?"

Hearing the terrifying sound, like continuous thunderous explosions rolling out from within, Liu Yiyi turned somewhat pale and asked shakily.

Though she held a prominent reputation throughout the entire Daluo Region and was revered as the Sword Sovereign, in the grand Divine Land, she wasn't exceptional. The title of Sword Sovereign was just that—a title. Liu Yiyi also harbored some fear. Therefore, the mysterious and terrifying sounds continuously emanating from the Black Sky Burial Ground, touted as the Forbidden Area for Gods, left her feeling extremely uneasy. After all, the unknown often cultivates a greater sense of terror.

"You have nothing to worry about, Yiyi. As long as I'm here, there's nothing to fear," Ye Yun said with a slight smile, gently rubbing Liu Yiyi's soft and delicate hand, and continued flying forward.

The Dragon Raiser still stood immobile at that spot, indicating that it was the Dragon Raiser's true lair.

After flying for a while and identifying the source of the loud sounds within the mist, Ye Yun was amazed to discover that the Dragon Raiser's lair and the origin of the sound were, astonishingly, in the same location.

Interesting. There must be some kind of earth-shattering secret concealed in this Dragon Raiser's lair.

This piqued Ye Yun's interest. He held Liu Yiyi's hand and swiftly flew into the black fog.

「Near the Abyss.」

The remaining six Dragon Raisers were healing one of their Clan Members, nicknamed Seventh Brother, when suddenly their chief, an elderly man dressed in black, furrowed his brow as if he sensed something unusual.

"Have any of you noticed something within Seventh Brother?" the chief asked, frowning.

"It does seem like something is there. Let me take a closer look," a voice replied.

After the voice finished speaking, a Seven-star formation suddenly emerged from the Covert Dragon Coffin it occupied. The Seven Stars flickered lightly, condensing a silver ray of light that abruptly fell into the Covert Dragon Coffin where Seventh Brother lay.

After scanning for a while, a voice suddenly exclaimed, "It's terrifying! There's a mark at Seventh Brother's wound that's incredibly concealed. Could it be from that Sword Cultivator?"

"Although that Sword Cultivator is also in the Divine Sovereign Realm, he isn't qualified to enter the Black Sky Burial Ground..." The chief's face darkened, and he abruptly announced, "First, erase this mark!"

"Yes!"

A dazzling silver light fell into the Covert Dragon Coffin. The mark deep within Seventh Brother's wound was quickly annihilated.

"Chief, why didn't we leave the mark and lure that Sword Cultivator here?" Seventh Brother asked.

"Our mission is priority. We can't afford to take any additional risks right now," the chief said cautiously.

The Dragon Raiser in each of the other Covert Dragon Coffins silently nodded in agreement.

Their tasks were twofold: to guard the Abyss and to operate the receptacle to absorb energy from the body of the entity within the Abyss. Both tasks were important, and neither had been completed. It would be best to avoid any mishaps.

"What?"

The chief's expression suddenly changed—he could sense a human presence.

He immediately used his Divine Sense to scan the surroundings and promptly noticed a graceful young man in white leading a charmingly beautiful maiden in red. They had already arrived within a hundred miles of the Abyss.

"Seventh Brother, quickly look to the southwest. Is that the Sword Cultivator?" the chief said quickly.

Despite his injuries, Seventh Brother hastily released his Divine Sense for a swift scan and was immediately startled.

"Boss, it's that Mysterious Sword Cultivator! The woman in red next to him is the Sword Sovereign from the Jianyun Sect," he hurriedly reported in a grave tone.

"That Sword Sovereign is merely at the Half-step Divine Sovereign Realm and not a threat. However, this Mysterious Sword Cultivator in the Divine Sovereign Realm is somewhat unfathomable..." The chief gazed intently into the distance, a fierce light glinting in his eyes.

If this foreign Sword Cultivator dares to come to the Black Sky Burial Ground, then he shouldn't blame us for being impolite.

A great secret was concealed here; anyone who had approached in the past was brutally killed by them. As a result, no one dared to enter the Black Sky Burial Ground any longer. A True God with a low cultivation base would die instantly upon entering. Even those in the Divine Monarch Realm wouldn't last long. And Cultivators in the Divine Sovereign Realm, once they entered, would be annihilated by them.

The Daluo Region, where they were located, rarely had Divine Sovereign Realm Cultivators. So, over the years, they had lived rather peacefully, allowing their second task to progress smoothly. Several receptacles had already been successfully prepared.

"Boss, since this Sword Cultivator is so arrogant, we might as well kill him here," a voice said, cold and arrogant.

"Exactly, that's my plan!" The chief nodded with a stern face, increased his Mana output, and commanded, "Let's give Seventh Brother another push—help him recover as much as possible."

"Yes!" everyone answered in unison.

The radiance emitted by the seven black Covert Dragon Coffins suddenly intensified, and Seventh Brother's injuries began healing rapidly.

The moment the Dragon Raiser's chief noticed Ye Yun, Ye Yun also detected their presence. The distance of a hundred miles was effortlessly reachable for him.

Clutching Liu Yiyi's hand, he floated in the black fog, looking around and scrutinizing everything carefully.

Ahead was a massive black Abyss, its entrance resembling the terrifying, vast mouth of a Ferocious Beast. Black fog filled it, obscuring its true depth from view. The fog's barrier against Divine Sense here was even stronger than the black fog outside.

Seven familiar black Covert Dragon Coffins floated at different points around the Abyss. Six of them were emitting a black energy towards another coffin.

Ye Yun understood; they were healing the injured one.

"Brother Yun, who would have thought there would be seven Dragon Raisers here? They're stationed around this Abyss. Could they be guards?" Liu Yiyi whispered after observing for a moment.

"Maybe. These reclusive types seldom do anything good," Ye Yun grunted.

WHOOSH! WHOOSH...

A commotion suddenly erupted from the depths of the Abyss. It sounded like a gargantuan beast dragging enormous chains as it moved within.

Ye Yun ignored the seven black Covert Dragon Coffins and cast his gaze deep into the Abyss. He boosted his Divine Sense as much as possible, scrutinizing what lay below.

One black Covert Dragon Coffin floated erratically in the black fog, bobbing up and down.

Another Dragon Raiser?

Seeing this Covert Dragon Coffin, Ye Yun furrowed his brow, a thought striking him. He promptly concentrated his Divine Sense into a needle-like point, brutally piercing the restrictions on the coffin's surface and penetrating it.

HISS!

When he clearly saw the face of a middle-aged man inside... Ye Yun gasped.

This person wasn't a Dragon Raiser at all, but a vessel from the Cangnan Continent.
