"Please—break me free! I want to go back. I can still help you!"
Suddenly, a woman's laughter echoed through the hall. Cold. Sharp. Cruel.
"Hehahaa…"
From the shadows, she stepped forward—her pale face glowing faintly under the lightning. Remaku Vincentia.
"I already told you, Remaku," she said with a wicked grin, "your dear Ash Phantom is dead. Failed. And this child—this Auren—his reincarnation—will die here too."Her voice twisted with satisfaction."There is no dawn this world will ever see."
Remaku's body shook with fury.
"Let me go into my era!" he roared, the chains clinking madly."I want to help Ash! Dawn will come!"
His eyes turned blood-red as he glared at Auren.
"Help me get out… I know you have Vitara," he whispered, almost pleading now."Help me, as a friend."
Auren stood still, his expression vacant—his mind blank—like his soul couldn't keep up with what he was hearing. Lightning flashed again, painting his face half blue, half shadow.
"Keep murmuring here, you loser," Kakima hissed, her tone laced with arrogance as she turned and walked away, her black cloak dissolving into mist.
Remaku, however, didn't move. His eyes glowed faintly red, still full of faith.
"Auren… you may not know, but you were my friend once—long ago, in another age," he said softly, the echo of his words filling the chamber."I want to return to my time. Only you can break this cage—it's bound by magic, and you possess Vitara."
Auren blinked, confusion clouding his face.
"Vitara? What is that?" he murmured.
Remaku's tone hardened, almost commanding.
"That purple flame from your eyes—the divine spark. That's Vitara, the power that can tear through any seal or spell. Use it, Auren! Before they return!"
As he spoke, the chains around him rattled, trembling slightly with every word, as if responding to Auren's hidden energy.
Meanwhile, outside the cage, Kakima stopped mid-step. A shiver crawled down her spine as realization hit her.
He has Vitara… she thought, eyes widening in dread. If we try to kill him, that divine flame might awaken again.
That was why she halted Rango earlier—because somewhere deep inside, she feared what might happen if Auren Ryuki truly reawakened.
"Try harder, Auren! You can do this!" Remaku shouted, his voice echoing through the iron walls. His tone carried warmth and fire, both — a desperate hope that refused to die.
Kakima, realizing something terrible was about to happen, ran back toward the cage. Her eyes widened in horror as she saw it —
Auren's Vitara ignited.
Like a dragon's rage bursting from a mortal shell, a torrent of purple energy surged from his left eye. The chamber trembled. Light ripped through the mist. The magic-forged iron shattered apart like glass.
The shockwave flung dust, stones, and darkness in every direction.
Auren staggered, staring at his trembling hands.
"How… how did I do that?" he whispered, disbelief echoing through his chest.
Kakima's voice cracked in terror.
"D-Dragon Hunter Remaku… he's been set free!"
Her body trembled, her face pale as ash.
Remaku rose slowly, stretching his neck, laughter booming through the ruins.
"Six hundred years…" he said, exhaling like thunder. Six hundred years since I last fought. It's high time I remind this realm what fear truly means."
His breath shook the entire plateau. Outside, thunder roared in reply.
Far away, Rango—sitting beneath the storm—looked up at the clouds, his eyes widening. He fell to his knees.
"Remaku… has been freed."
Auren's gaze locked on the old warrior, awe flickering through him. He could feel Remaku's power — a divine storm in human form.
Remaku turned toward him, smiling faintly.
"Auren, you can break this realm. But before that…" his tone deepened, eyes glowing red, "let me deal with this wretched woman and her brother."
Kakima froze. Every instinct screamed to flee — but her body refused to move.
In a blink —A blur.A sound like air being ripped apart.
Remaku appeared behind her, and with a single, effortless slap, her head separated cleanly from her body.
Rango roared from the top of the palace, leaping down through the air. Each floor he crashed through shattered like paper.
Remaku looked up, unbothered.
"Come then, beast."
Rango punched — but Remaku moved faster. With a beastly grin, he dodged and bit through his head, tearing it apart in one monstrous motion.
The storm outside roared in salute.
Remaku walked toward Auren, breathing calmly — as if nothing had just happened. The air around him was still heavy with the scent of thunder and dust.
He stopped right in front of Auren. The young man stood frozen, eyes wide in disbelief.
Remaku smiled faintly, his voice deep but gentle.
"You don't understand your powers yet… as I see."
He placed his hand softly over Auren's head.
"Soon you'll realize how strong you truly are. Just wait for the right time, my old friend."
Auren's breath hitched. His throat went dry.
"Tell me… about the Grand Era. You're from that time, right? Please… tell me something about it."
Remaku leaned closer, his gaze lost somewhere far beyond this world.
"From my point of view… it's already ended."
Auren's eyes widened further.
"Ended?"
Remaku nodded slowly. His tone darkened.
"But for your understanding—someone is trying to rule this world again. Someone dark. And only you can stand against him."
He looked at Auren, a faint sorrow behind his calm smile.
"Many things are about to come into play, Auren. When we reach our own timeline, we might forget everything that happened here… but don't worry."
He turned toward the storming horizon.
"Our memories will return."
Auren closed his eyes, feeling the pulse of the purple flame surging inside his chest. Each breath he took glowed faintly, like his soul itself was on fire.
Remaku stepped back, watching with a proud smirk.
"Now… break this realm, Auren. Use your Vitara."
Auren exhaled sharply. The air around him twisted, trembling with pressure. The ground beneath his feet cracked—purple energy bleeding through every line like lightning veins.
He clenched his fist tight.
"Let's end this."
Boom—!
His punch erupted with violet fire, shattering the air itself. The sky split open like glass. The whole realm screamed as the forest, the castle, the mountains—all tore apart in waves of light and shadow.
Remaku laughed through the chaos.
"That's the Vitara… the true flame of gods!"
From the heart of destruction, a black-and-purple portal spiraled open, pulling everything inside. The roar of collapsing space echoed endlessly.
Auren tried to resist, but the pull was too strong. His vision blurred, his body dissolving into streaks of light—
And in a blink—
He was back.
The same town.Same night. His body trembling, soaked in sweat.
He looked around in disbelief. The world was calm, silent—as if nothing had happened.
Auren gasped for breath.
"Was it… a dream?"
But when he glanced at his hands—they were still faintly glowing purple.
