"Then you must seize the opportunity in the future. If this little girl grows up to be extremely formidable, she will definitely become your strongest force," Arlene persuaded.
"This little girl doesn't know any magic at all. I was even thinking about breaking the contract with her, but she keeps refusing. Who knows how many years it will take for her to grow up?" he said, his voice filled with helplessness and bitterness. He'd hoped to find a powerful combatant, but instead, he felt like he'd brought home an ancestor to wait on. And he had to serve her kindly.
"The Kings among the Dragon Race are different. For example, the Giant Dragon I command now only knows Wind Attribute Magic, and if he doesn't advance, he'll only know Wind Attribute Magic for his whole life."
"The members of the Royal Family of the Dragon Race know All Attribute Magic and even Fusion Magic. Moreover, the wisdom of the transformed Giant Dragons is very high, on par with humans. You've really found a treasure," said Arlene, her voice tinged with envy. Why hadn't such luck befallen her? If she could sign a contract with a member of the Royal Family, she would serve them daily without complaint.
Isabelle said, "The Legion Commander is right. The Giant Dragons we command have limited growth, but it's different for the Royal Family. If she is given enough time to grow, her strength can rival that of a Demigod."
"Even if you don't become a God, you will have the protection of a Demigod in the future."
Is she really that powerful? Jiang Chen wondered.
The Xileruo World is vast, dozens of times larger than the Human World. It is divided in half: one half is ruled by the League of Difiled Gods, and the other is under the governance of the Alliance of All-Gods. The two sides often clash, and wars break out from time to time. Such wars have continued for thousands of years, with neither side being able to best the other. Sometimes one side takes a city, and the other snatches it back another day. Every battle involves armies of millions.
Arlene's expression turned grave. "This time, a powerful expert has emerged on the side of the Evil Gods. It's said to be the Son of God, a descendant of an Evil God. He has come to the Xileruo World specifically to conquer it."
Jiang Chen joked, "If they want to conquer the world, why not just send an Evil God directly?"
"That won't happen. They have to follow the rules, just as we do. At their level, they won't take action against ordinary people. Killing the Son of God would be a great achievement," responded Arlene, growing more excited as she spoke.
Jiang Chen was skeptical. It can't be that easy to kill him. Surely, they have experts protecting them?
"I've heard that Gods can die too?" he inquired.
"Yes," she affirmed.
"And after they die, they reincarnate?"
Arlene replied nonchalantly, "Yes."
Suddenly, a thought struck her, and she looked at Jiang Chen. "You don't think you are a Reincarnated God, do you?"
I didn't say that; you did, he thought.
Isabelle said, "Gods indeed reincarnate. Not only do they reincarnate, but some, after upgrading their strength, will become Gods again, awakening their own memories. However, Reincarnated Gods tend to have the same profession as in the past."
Jiang Chen nodded; this was the same as what Long Zhantian had said.
Arlene teased, "Maybe you are the reincarnation of the Sword God. Although, it seems there isn't a Sword God. Jiang Chen, if you grow strong, you might very well become the Sword God.
"Moreover, the mightiest Sword God of the Continent. I have high hopes for you."
Isabelle turned and said with a smile, "If you were a Reincarnated God, given that your Skills are different, it's actually possible."
Upon this realization, Isabelle exclaimed in surprise, "Good heavens, could it be that there's a Reincarnated God with me?"
"Stop dreaming," Arlene said. "I have never heard of a Swordsman who was a God. However, on the higher-level continents, it seems there indeed are Reincarnated Gods. I can't remember the name—I just heard my father mention it once." Arlene thought for a moment but couldn't recall the name.
As they flew, a large number of Dragon Knights appeared around them, following and flying toward the border. One Legion was markedly different. This Legion consisted entirely of Archers, and their appearance was distinctive: white hair, blue eyes, and very pointed ears.
Jiang Chen inquired, "Which Legion are they?"
Isabelle glanced at them and responded, "They are from the Elven World; they belong to the Elves."
"Why are they all Archers?"
"The Elf Archers of the Elven World are extraordinary," Isabelle explained. "They can not only wield bows and arrows but also infuse their arrows with magic to cause significant Attack Power."
Jiang Chen asked Arlene, "Why don't you recruit some Elf Archers from the Elven World?"
Arlene remained silent.
Isabelle chuckled, "She doesn't have the power to do that."
Arlene defended herself, "Who says I don't have the power? Just wait until I've grown, and you'll see how many Elf Archers will want to join my Legion."
Jiang Chen just smiled without saying anything.
The group arrived at a main city. Inside the main city were many Heroes, not just Elf Archers but also Titan Tribe warriors. Jiang Chen glanced at them; they were terrifyingly strong, eight meters tall, clad in battle armor, and wielding broad blades. Their blades were at least ten meters long.
There was also a group of warriors wielding longswords; they were different too.
Isabelle introduced, "They are warriors from the Dragon Blood World, descendants of both the Dragon Race and humans. Dragon Race blood flows in their veins. Not only are their bodies strong, but they also know Dragon Language Magic and possess the Dragon Race's regenerative abilities.
"They are a type of Magic Swordsman."
Beyond them were other humanoid races, yet they were different enough that Jiang Chen nearly mistook them for monsters.
"That's the red-skinned Xis Tribe. Don't let their monstrous appearance fool you; they are actually gentle by nature."
"Those flying in the sky are from the Feathered Tribe; they are born with the ability to fly."
"They own Badges and are Heroes like us?"
Isabelle nodded. "Yes, but their awakened professions are predetermined. For example, members of the Titan Tribe awaken as warriors.
"Members of the Feathered Tribe awaken into the Angel Class.
"And those from the Dragon Blood World awaken into the Magic Swordsman Class.
"Those from the Elven World awaken as Archers, with a few becoming Magicians," she elaborated.
Jiang Chen nodded. There were many professions, and most individuals awakened to a class corresponding to their race or lineage.
They teleported through a huge Teleportation Array, entering the battlefield.
Arlene shouted, "Everyone stick with the group; we're heading into the battlefield!"
After the group entered the Teleportation Array, they arrived at the St. Nazaire Battle Zone. It was a colossal city, capable of accommodating millions. Across from it, thousands of meters away, a white Barrier divided the entire land. A world of stark contrasts: one side bathed in sunshine, the other shrouded in boundless darkness. Within the darkness on the other side lay another vast city.
Arlene quickly entered the command center.
Jiang Chen soon received new information.
