Chapter 127: Su Chen's Sword Shocking the Entire Audience

Passing through the undulating stone walls at the bottom of the pool, they stretched out like natural barriers before his eyes. The ancient, dark tones and jagged shapes seemed even more sinister at such depths. Schools of fish occasionally swam past him, some glowing all over, others blending with the color of the stone walls, causing the water to ripple and produce almost inaudible sounds. The swaying, graceful underwater plants were like enchanting women, reaching out from all directions, occasionally brushing past Su Chen's cold and distinguished face, parting the waves, and leaving a faint trail in the water at the pool's bottom.

Suddenly, Su Chen's agile and nimble figure stopped in front of a huge stone wall on the left.

The stone wall was about ten meters high and extended horizontally for a hundred meters or more at the pool's bottom. Its thick and imposing presence, like a towering mountain, filled one with awe. The reason Su Chen stopped was because of a bizarre red plant growing at the inner end of the stone wall, shaped like a dragon's tongue.

It was about half a meter long, divided into three leaves, slender and resilient, all shaped like dragon tongues, constantly swaying with the water waves. The roots spread out like dragon whiskers, protruding slightly outside the stone wall. What surprised Su Chen the most was that the plant's color was fiery red! It was like a flickering flame blooming on the dark stone wall, attracting all passing creatures.

Without exception, Su Chen sped up and swam toward it.

The closer he got to the stone wall, the stronger the aura's presence became, so much so that even in the cold water, Su Chen felt a hint of warmth. Finally, he arrived at the end of the stone wall, just outside a black hole that was inwardly recessed several meters. The oddly-shaped plant, like a sentinel, blocked half of the black hole, swaying provocatively before his eyes, tempting him to reach out and pluck it. But after glancing at the peculiar black hole, Su Chen's hand, which had just extended out, retracted once again.

This black hole definitely held something strange. He swam a few meters inside, feeling the wind-element energy on him suddenly suppressed, and he quickly backed out. From the darkness ahead, there seemed to come a faint noise, like a series of bubbling sounds. Su Chen pricked his ears to listen, eyes wide open as if trying to see to the end of the black hole.

Suddenly, a rapid swimming sound came through, and the speed of the water waves' dispersion also rose quickly, with the surrounding pressure suddenly feeling like four walls closing in simultaneously!

Su Chen was shocked, turned around, and swam outward. As he passed the plant, he casually pulled it out!

Rumble…

As if he had triggered a mechanism, the black hole suddenly emitted a large number of bubbles, and the entire stone wall began to tremor faintly! The fish passing by fled in panic, the pool's bottom mud surged into the air, instantly obscuring everything. Su Chen swam while looking back, only to see a massive fish, about seven meters in size, with blood-red eyes like a demon, rushing out fiercely from the black hole…

"Wow, what a large pond!"

A voice, even in its excitement, carried a hint of playful laziness.

"It is large, but that means our search area is much larger, so it's nothing to be excited about."

A cold voice followed, though it was a woman's voice.

"Phoenix, it seems like you have a lot against me, always picking on me along the way."

Said a graceful enchantress wearing a corseted lily dress that accentuated her slender waist all the more. At the moment, her beautiful face wore a slight displeasure, her delicate nose wrinkled, eyebrows slightly furrowed, and her rosy lips parted, exhaling a tempting fragrance.

Beside her stood two men, one tall and robust with a fierce appearance, the other short-statured with shifty eyes, emitting a very noticeable brilliance.

The woman in the black dress facing the enchantress, her face frosty and her gaze as sharp as a knife, was also extremely beautiful but daunting, deterring anyone from approaching even a step closer. She coldly glanced at the enchantress.

"Spirit Maiden, due to your mistake, not only did we lose a comrade, but we also arrived at Sunshine Mountain two days late. If we miss the North Nether Divine Fish because of this, can you take responsibility?"

The woman called Phoenix reprimanded coldly.

"Hehe, don't be mad; we were only a day or two late. I can put in more effort later, and you won't be disadvantaged~" The enchantress flirtatiously replied with her enchanting eyes.

"Alright, stop bickering. In a moment, Black Crow and I will go underwater to lure the North Nether Divine Fish ashore; you two help intercept and kill it."

The fierce-looking man waved his hand, interrupting in a low voice. After they nodded, he exchanged a glance with Black Crow and walked toward the chilly pond.

But just as they reached the edge of the pond, a change occurred!

A swift figure wrapped in dazzling green light suddenly shot out from the cold pond, bringing up a flurry of snow-white spray! Following closely, a massive dark shadow soared into the sky, like a mountain rushing headlong toward that figure!

Seeing this, the four faces changed dramatically in unison, exclaiming, "North Nether Divine Fish!"

Staring in a daze at the suddenly bright and clear air, the four were utterly shocked! Because they realized that the long-sought North Nether Divine Fish had been discovered by someone else first!

"Damn it, someone else has already targeted the North Nether Divine Fish!"

The fierce man gritted his teeth and spat angrily.
