I Have Infinite Skill Points

Chapter 385: Attribute Fusion The True All Attributes

After spending 2,000 skill points to learn Void Storing, Wang Lan examined its skill description. Sure enough, its upgrade requirements were twice as high as Water Demon's. To upgrade from Gold to platinum, it actually required a whopping 110,000 skill points. What the fuck, do they think my skill points just fall out of the sky?

Expensive as it was, Wang Lan couldn't say for certain whether it was worth the price. Activating a Star Martial Skill, Wang Lan immediately felt his Sea of Consciousness seemingly traverse an endless Dimension Space. This process was incredibly complex and quite peculiar.

It was as if he had traveled through a book with countless pages, each page its own independent space with its own independent story. Finally, Wang Lan settled on one page, and then Star Power poured in like crazy to carve out a space. The space wasn't large, about three cubic meters—not even as spacious as a small sedan.

Wang Lan exited the Star Martial Skill, and that sense of connection with the space vanished. But when Wang Lan used Void Storing again, he could instantly sense the coordinates of that first space he had opened up and then re-enter the three-cubic-meter Dimension Space.

Wang Lan casually tossed a piece of clothing into the Dimension Space, and it vanished in the blink of an eye as if it had disappeared into thin air. When Wang Lan wanted to retrieve it, it reappeared in his hand with just a thought. It really makes things much more convenient for home and travel.

From now on, I don't need to worry about clothes being damaged or having nothing to wear. Other people's spatial equipment could potentially get lost or damaged, but my spatial equipment definitely won't.

Void Storing was part of the Space Attribute, but it had to be one of the less useful skills in that category. It could only store non-living things; any living thing would die instantly upon entering. Wang Lan couldn't enter the Dimension Space himself; naturally, knowing he would die if he did, he wasn't foolish enough to try.

The Dimension Space was a void—no time, no matter—simply a space where everything was at a standstill. Even if something stayed inside for ten years, to the item itself, it would only seem like an instant.

Wang Lan rubbed his chin and pondered. Although this Space Attribute is nothing more than a pocket... couldn't I use it against enemies? The difficulty of trapping an enemy inside is quite significant, but making an enemy charge in by accident doesn't seem that hard.

In his mind, a scene emerged: a powerful enemy rushed toward him at overwhelming speed. Wang Lan covertly deployed his Star Martial Skill, unfolding the Dimension Space right in front of him. The enemy, unable to react quickly enough, would crash right into it.

GG.

Not bad...

But that was just the ideal scenario, since opening the Dimension Space caused spatial fluctuations. This world might lack other things, but it certainly didn't lack Different Dimensional Spaces. Every Star Martial Warrior knew what spatial fluctuations were.

Any enemy Wang Lan could fend off with Void Storing would have to be at least at the Titled Strongman level, and such high-level opponents were unlikely to make such a foolish mistake. But then again, life is unpredictable. Who knows?

Although not surprising, these two skills were satisfying. Water Demon's usability complemented Dance of the Dark Butterfly well, especially on large lakes and oceans. Once Water Demon was unleashed, who could possibly compete?

In the end, Wang Lan turned his attention to Ice Attribute skills. In theory, having reached the Galaxy Stage, he could now attempt Star Energy Derive and Star Power Fusion.

Star Energy Derive is what's known as the Secondary Attribute. Any single-attribute Star Martial Warrior can cultivate a second attribute through Star Energy Derive after breaking through to the Galaxy Stage. Wang Lan already possessed all attributes, so he naturally had no need for Star Energy Derive.

Star Power Fusion, however, is the fusion of two types of Star Power, occurring in three stages. The first stage involves using two different Star Martial Skills simultaneously for combined attacks. These are the hallmark composite Star Martial Skills of the Galaxy Stage. This is the level most experts at the Galaxy Stage can achieve.

The second stage is the fusion of two types of Star Power followed by their simultaneous release. The resulting Star Martial Skill is singular but carries the properties of both Star Powers.

In Wang Lan's view, this second stage truly defined composite Star Martial Skills. The first type was, at best, merely multitasking.

The third stage, the true pinnacle, involves fusing two attributes of Star Power to form a completely new special property. Those who reach this level are exceedingly rare and have mastered control over Star Power to the greatest extent.

Ninety percent of Star Martial Warriors with special attributes are born with them, but a few form special attributes through Star Power Fusion. Some might think, "Pff, you work your whole life just to achieve what someone else was born with? That's rubbish!" But in reality, naturally born special attributes can't hold a candle to those formed through personal fusion.

It's like this: does someone who merely drives a car truly understand it? In the eyes of those who build cars from scratch, piece by piece, such a person knows jack shit. Similarly, because these special attributes are synthesized by the Star Martial Warriors themselves, their comprehension and application of these attributes are on a level incomparable to those who are naturally born with them.

A Star Martial Warrior who synthesized their attributes could instantly grasp the basis and principles behind every change in their Star Power.

Using the same Star Martial Skills and expending the same amount of Star Power, those who crafted their own special attributes released significantly more powerful skills. And the increase wasn't slight; it was substantial.

Those who could create their own new attributes were not only peerless geniuses but real badasses, as the risk of Star Power Fusion was extremely high. What you see are the successful ones, but behind each success story are many more failures—individuals who either died instantly or were left permanently disabled.

Now that I've mastered the seven basic attributes and can already perform Star Martial Skill fusion, shouldn't I also try Star Power Attribute Fusion?

With the system's powerful capabilities, it can clearly pave the way even for seemingly impossible conditions. There's no reason it couldn't synthesize Star Power attributes.

Thinking this, Wang Lan closed his eyes and delved into his spirit. The various Star Martial Skills associated with different attributes sparkled before his eyes. Unfortunately, Wang Lan could only link non-attributed skills with attributed ones.

Wang Lan flipped the system interface back to the main page: Character, Wang Lan; Star Martial level, Galaxy Stage LV4.

Upon reflection, it has been less than two years since I awakened my Star Martial Warrior talent and advanced from a Starlight realm rookie to the mid-Galaxy Stage.

This rate of progression, I have to admit, makes me a little proud.

Thanks to the platinum-grade Immortal Cloud Mysterious Green Record Qi Cultivation Chapter, ascending to the Star Sea Stage should take no more than two years. I should be the next person after Yu Ruoyun to break through to the Star Sea Stage before turning twenty.

Although Yu Ruoyun had yet to break through, she estimated it would happen within the next two months. With Yu Ruoyun's combat strength, the Star Martial Skills she mastered, and the endless Star Palace Artifacts at her disposal, her strength should skyrocket directly to the level of a Titled Strongman upon breaking through to the Star Sea Stage.

As thoughts whirled in his mind, Wang Lan's gaze settled on the attribute bar under the missions.

Fire, Thunder, Earth, Water, Wind, Wood, Yang, Light, Space.

I was only short of the Gold Attribute among the seven basic attributes and possessed three special attributes. Others would be considered geniuses for having dual attributes, remarkable for triple attributes, and freaks for anything over four. So what did my nine attributes make me?

Huh? Wang Lan suddenly noticed that the attribute icons seemed thicker than before. Previously, the attribute icons were just pictures; now, they appeared like tiles affixed to a wall.

I hadn't noticed this change before; it must have occurred after my breakthrough to the Galaxy Stage.

Concentrating his spiritual power, a loading dialogue box appeared before Wang Lan's eyes. Upon seeing it, Wang Lan was shocked and stared at the dialogue box in disbelief for quite a while.

Fire Attribute, select an Attribute for Fusion, add Skill Points (0/10,000)

Ten thousand skill points—the amount required to learn a platinum-grade skill—now available to fuse a brand-new special ability. Was this trade worth it? Damn right, it was a steal!

Doing the math, even without special attributes, I could achieve similar effects through combining Star Martial Skills, but in terms of power and consumption, they couldn't compare to Attribute Fusion.

I could combine Wind and Water Star Martial Skills to form an Ice Attribute attack, but it would be less potent than a genuine Ice Attribute attack, nor could I learn Ice Attribute Star Martial Skills. Composite Star Martial Skills were like a lesser version of the Formless Art—it would be fine if this lesser Formless Art could unleash the original's power, but unfortunately, it could only manifest seventy percent.

Without hesitation, Wang Lan fused the Fire and Earth attributes, adding 10,000 skill points. Instantly, a new attribute—Melt—appeared below the attribute column.

"It worked!" Wang Lan exclaimed excitedly. This is what it means to be truly all-attribute!

With the fusion of Water and Fire, a new attribute, Solution, was formed; the fusion of Wind and Thunder resulted in Ray; and the fusion of Wind and Fire created Flame. Wang Lan thoroughly enjoyed playing with Attribute Fusion, and the tens of thousands of skill points he had painstakingly accumulated were swiftly expended in the process.

「The first snowfall of 5020 arrived a bit later than anticipated.」

After New Year's Day, most parts of the country experienced rain and snow. In Modu City... it was, at most, a bit of sleet.

Don't assume that Modu City, being in the south with its infrequent snow and ice, is a warm and comfortable place to live. For people who have spent time in the south, winter in Modu City can be described with one phrase: besieged on all sides.

During winter, one feeling persisted: cold. Even under a warm sun, the wind chilled to the bone. Inside houses, the cold was oppressive. In bed, it felt like a frozen tundra. This was when being a Fire Attribute Star Martial Warrior proved advantageous.

「In the classroom.」

The teacher was enthusiastically explaining case studies of unexpected battlefield incidents and their appropriate responses. This included how to deduce the correct solution through proper logical thinking and how to deal with emergencies with minimal cost.

Girls around him were shivering, their teeth chattering from the cold. Being a Star Martial Warrior meant having a constitution that could withstand the extremes of heat and cold. This meant their bodies wouldn't be damaged or fall ill from such extremes, not that they were immune to feeling heat or cold.

"Classmates, final exams are next week! I want all of you to be fully alert. The first semester is about to end, and I don't want anyone's first-semester final assessment to be a failure. So, listen up! Today's material is all going to be on the test."

The code word—"final exam"—had an immediate effect: the students no longer felt the cold, their spirits instantly lifted.

College isn't easy, and for students at a Star Martial Academy, strength is paramount.

Some kind academic theory teachers would go over most of the exam questions before the test to ensure that students who attended their class could barely pass. If you still failed under these conditions, it meant you were beyond help and deserved to fail.

But such teachers were rare. Most were the type who were usually quiet but would put you through the wringer at critical moments, making you swing between hope and despair.
