Female Star's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1272: Qing Ge

"What's up?" one of the women asked.

"Can you take me with you?" Ye Chen said with a sheepish grin.

The virtual battlefield was fraught with danger, and as Ye Chen wandered through it, he was at risk of being ambushed at any moment.

These two women were powerful, and they came from the same realm as him. Joining them would ensure much more safety for Ye Chen.

"You're a half-step Transcendence, useless to us and just a burden, why would we bring you along?" the woman frowned.

"..." Ye Chen's awkwardness resurfaced.

"Forget it, since we're from the same realm, we should help if we can. Let's take him along," the other woman said.

"Zi Han, you are too kind," the woman shook her head. "This place is filled with danger; we can barely protect ourselves, let alone worry about others."

Ye Chen realized that both women were quite attractive, yet their personalities differed vastly—one was kind-hearted, while the other was cold and ruthless.

"However, we're short of someone to scout enemy territories and clean up the battlefield," the cold woman suddenly smiled.

"Alright then," Ye Chen said reluctantly. "Since that's the case, let's part ways now—you go your way, I'll cross my own bridge!"

Servant?

Ye Chen, with his pride, wouldn't be anyone's servant.

Moreover, when she mentioned scouting enemy territories, it was akin to sending him to his death—only a fool would agree to play along.

"You think you can come and go as you please?" the woman sneered.

"You!"

Ye Chen tried to leave, but the woman blocked his path.

"Stay," the woman said. "Serve us loyally, and we'll reward you by taking you home."

This woman was extremely cold, exuding an overbearing presence that brooked no refusal.

But Ye Chen, with his unyielding spirit, could never submit.

"I am destined to be an emperor, not a servant." Ye Chen's voice turned cold.

This woman's audacity was infuriating, demanding him to be a servant without even allowing dissent.

"Destined to be emperor?" she sneered. "Such arrogance—aren't you afraid of shortening your life?"

"Mind your own business," Ye Chen said grumpily. "I'm leaving now, goodbye."

"Did I say you could leave?" the woman said icily. "Either stay as a servant or be slain by me—choose one."

"..."

Upon hearing the woman's threat, Ye Chen's calm demeanor faltered.

"Make your choice quickly; my patience is limited!" the woman demanded.

"How can you act like this?" Ye Chen felt aggrieved. "We're from the same hometown, you not only refuse to protect me, but you also want me as a servant—is this how you bully people?"

"Yes, I'm bullying you—because you're weaker than me!" the woman said with an air of self-righteousness.

"..." Ye Chen realized he had met his match, this woman was absolutely shameless!

"Clean up these beast carcasses," the woman ordered Ye Chen. "These are Great Transcendent Realm beasts, their blood and flesh are rich in essence and exceptionally valuable—don't leave anything behind."

The Great Transcendent Realm beasts are treasures, especially their flesh and blood, comparable in effect to divine medicine.

Yet, this woman acted with such dominance towards Ye Chen, casually giving orders as if he were an insider... Would Ye Chen heed her?

"Listen if you don't want to die," the woman looked at Ye Chen, her patience depleted, revealing a hint of murderous intent.

"..."

Feeling that murderous intent, Ye Chen's heart skipped a beat.

Then, he forfeited his dignity and obediently went to work.

This woman was cold and ruthless, having already shown a murderous intent. If Ye Chen disobeyed orders, he might truly suffer a deadly fate!

Though Ye Chen's combat strength was formidable, it had its limits and couldn't dominate all.

Eventually, Ye Chen finished cleaning the battlefield and followed behind the two women to their dwelling.

"We have been trapped here for countless ages, fighting battles almost daily. This is our dwelling, absolutely safe," the woman said. "You're just a half-step Transcendence; in the virtual battlefield, you can't even ensure your own survival. Hurry and cultivate."

This woman forced Ye Chen to serve, not out of genuine malice, but as an alternative form of protection.

"Thank you."

After interacting for some time, Ye Chen began to understand her, realizing she wasn't genuinely unreasonable.

"Go make a fire and cook," the woman said.

"Cook what?" Ye Chen was dumbfounded.

He, a dignified man, could be an idol, have prowess, just not cook.

"The blood and flesh of the Transcendence beasts are a great supplement; we expended much energy earlier… In half an hour, I want cooked meat," the woman said plainly after glancing at Ye Chen.

"..."

Eventually, the woman entered the cave, leaving Ye Chen standing there dumbfounded.

"Zi Han, how are you? Were you hurt by the beast's strike earlier?"

The woman entered the cave, saw Zi Han meditating, and spoke with deep concern in her voice.

They had been lost here together for countless ages, fighting shoulder to shoulder, drenched in blood—truly like family.

"I'm fine," Zi Han said. "I anticipated the beast's dying strike, was only affected by the impact—no serious harm."

"That's good to hear," the woman replied.

"Qing Ge, what's with you today? Why were you so harsh, forcing that man to stay?" Zi Han asked.

Zi Han and Qing Ge had accompanied each other for countless years and knew each other's temperaments well. She wasn't one to be unreasonable.

"I'm not sure," Qing Ge shook her head. "But he gives me a feeling that weighs on my heart, very unsettling."

"Could he be a threat to you?" Zi Han asked, surprised.

"No," Qing Ge replied. "The feeling is strange, not threatening, yet it causes me to feel restless."

"That's truly odd," Zi Han said. "That man is merely a half-step Transcendence—he can be destroyed with a flick of our fingers. How can he make you feel jittery?"

"I don't know," Qing Ge shook her head.

Concerning this inexplicable unease, Qing Ge was more puzzled than Zi Han, unable to grasp the situation.

She was of the Great Transcendent Realm, having endured countless blood battles, now unimaginably powerful.

So, Qing Ge found it hard to comprehend—why would she feel such unease?

Ye Chen was merely a half-step Transcendence, fragile as crumbling soil—what right did he have to make her uneasy?

"We've been lost in the void for too long; surely many things have happened in that realm. I wonder if my daughter is safe?" Zi Han suddenly sighed.

"Why not just ask?" Qing Ge suggested. "The unicorn is the king of beasts—no matter where it appears, it causes a stir; that boy surely knows something."

Zi Han and Qing Ge were quite concerned about external affairs but couldn't leave, only anxious in their hearts.

However, Ye Chen arrived from beyond, and surely knew many things.
