The Last King Of Darkness

Chapter 617: A New Chapter

Just as Rod was racking his brains on how to obtain more divinity while maintaining the Star Marrow Altar, Horus personally sought him out, bringing news that the expedition team had discovered traces of another Human Kingdom, and the Royal City had decided to dispatch a support team.

Most importantly, this time, his name was on the list of supporters.

Rod was completely stunned: "What about the Eternal Sanctuary test?"

Horus looked at him with a solemn expression.

"After intense discussions, the entire Elder Council agreed that the weight of this incident has been elevated to the Kingdom's highest, on par with expansion campaigns."

"Trolian will send a super-grade support team to aid the expedition team and officially establish contact with this Fire King City which also survived the Dark Epoch."

"The support team will be composed of the most complete configuration, and you will be the core of the team."

"The Eternal Sanctuary test will be fully handled by Dalin. We will adjust the test plan, and you only need to maintain the Spirit's Curtain in a constant state."

Rod took a few seconds to digest Horus's words and quickly realized that this was the best solution.

An extensive support team entering the Dark World must carry sufficient supplies. As the only large-scale space ability possessor in the Royal City, he was undoubtedly an indispensable core of the team.

Establishing contact with another Human Kingdom, for Trolian, isolated for eighteen hundred years, was obviously of immense importance. There was an endless amount of information to exchange between them, which was a tremendous boon for both human civilizations.

Evidently, this would bring him a massive amount of divinity.

Moreover, the acquisition of divinity from the Dream Realm was directed towards all of humanity.

As long as human strength could be enhanced, increasing the chances of survival in this Dark World, it would bring him divinity.

If another Human Kingdom was found, wouldn't his fundamental base expand?

Wouldn't he gain more divinity?

Once he realized this, Rod's inner joy became unstoppable.

With divinity, he would be unstoppable, lighting more Stars, acquiring more Star Souls, and creating more powerful Dream Creations would not be an issue.

His power would leap forward, retrieving Dream Fragments from those terrifying Ancient Cities would no longer be a problem, and the Dream Realm would grow stronger, with various abilities rapidly increasing, greatly enhancing his power, which would also boost his growth efficiency.

Once this virtuous cycle begins, Rod's growth speed will explode.

When the Dream Realm is fully restored, the battle to purify the Spirit Realm will begin.

And all of this, everything, hinges on divinity.

"Okay!"

Rod agreed promptly and urged.

"Time is of the essence, let's go quickly, they might be in danger if we're late."

A slight smile appeared on Horus's withered face: "Rod, I knew you were such a noble person, taking the safety of humanity as your duty, fearless of danger, uncaring of personal gain or loss, full of enthusiasm, possessing the Fire Will and great human virtues... I am the same."

Rod glanced at him sideways, not expecting this thick-browed, big-eyed guy to praise himself in a roundabout way.

Horus spread his hands, a bit of light floated out, and two white spiritual horses emerged from the air.

"The support team, with me as the leader, will represent Trolian to communicate with our compatriots lost in the dark for eighteen hundred years."

He mounted the horse, and the spiritual horse soared into the sky, obviously impatient as well.

"Hey, wait for me."

Rod hurriedly mounted the spiritual horse and followed closely.

The two spiritual horses quickly dashed out of the firelight range of the Eastern Fortress, plunging into the Black Fog, hurrying towards the Royal City.

The spiritual horses were the fastest means of transportation in Trolian besides Anna, extremely precious and very afraid of corruption. Except for being used in the early expansion of Star Town, Rod rarely rode them.

The fact that they could use spiritual horses for this journey clearly showed the Royal City's emphasis on the new Fire King City.

About one clock hour later, Rod returned to the Royal City.

The spiritual horses descended directly from the sky to the square in front of the Holy Fire Sacrificial Ground and then dissipated, turning into a wisp of Spiritual Light.

Rod immediately saw the mountain of supplies stacked in front of the Holy Fire Sacrificial Ground; it was at least three hundred yards wide and a thousand yards high, and countless logistics staff were still frantically stacking more, like a large group of ants gathering food.

"Holy crap!"

Rod couldn't help but curse. This was at least a hundred times more supplies than the last Dark Expedition!

What was the Royal City planning?

These supplies far exceeded the team's usage limit, and Rod even noticed large boxes of food inside, indicating not only raw materials but also carefully cooked delicacies by the outer packaging.

Were they planning to establish diplomatic relations with Saint Reel? Were these supplies gifts to Saint Reel?

Rod's eyes almost popped out; they truly saw him as a human dignitary.

Not far away, the logistics manager Hullen and Feng saw him and immediately rushed over, shouting, "Lord Rod, don't rush to swallow, we still have half of it not delivered yet!"

Feng eagerly asked, "Can your storage bin fit it? The King said it would be fine."

Rod, a little displeased, glanced at this red-haired, round-faced, majestic beauty:

"Can't you use the term storage space like last time?"
