The Last King Of Darkness

Chapter 615: God_2

The Book of Knowledge said, "Master, on the left is a Thirsty Soul, feed it Humanity, it will produce an Evil Ghost Stone."

"On the right is a Boiling Soul, feed it Spirituality, it will yield a Devil's Stone."

"In the middle is a Detestable Soul, feed it Divinity, it will give rise to an Evil Ghost Stone."

Rod furrowed his brows.

"Feeding Humanity and Spirituality is one thing, but what on earth does feeding Divinity mean?"

The Book of Knowledge glanced at Rod in confusion, "It means an Evil Ghost!"

Rod covered his forehead, "I know, I mean, what are they used for?"

The Book of Knowledge replied naturally:

"You should be able to guess, an Evil Ghost King is born from an Evil Ghost Stone, a Devil King can naturally be born from a Devil's Stone, and from an Evil Ghost Stone, an Evil Ghost King can be born."

"The Evil Ghost King is a powerful guardian of the Dream Realm, only after its birth can the corresponding monarchs emerge from the Evil Ghost Stone and Devil's Stone, allowing us to possess multiple Evil Ghost Kings and Devil Kings. The fact that you previously hatched an Evil Ghost King under such conditions is nothing short of a miracle!"

Rod raised his eyebrow. If that's the case, then birthing an Evil Ghost King by feeding Divinity is something worth considering.

"How much should be fed? How strong is the Evil Ghost King?"

The Book of Knowledge answered, "About 200 points of Divinity, the Evil Ghost King is extremely powerful. Its physical strength surpasses that of a Monarch, but that is not its strongest aspect. Its greatest power is allowing the Evil Ghost Stone Tank to hatch more Evil Ghost Kings and Devil Kings. When an army composed of Evil Ghost Kings and Devil Kings charges towards the enemy, any monster daring to invade the Dream Realm will be obliterated."

Rod nodded slightly, it sounds very strong.

But he currently only has 2 points of Divinity, and cannot feed the Detestable Soul for now, having to feed Humanity and Spirituality instead.

Let's put it aside for now.

Rod turned and approached the Heavenly Sphere Clock.

This is a structure that can locate Dream Fragments, its only defect is that once it locks onto a Dream Fragment.

It cannot switch to another until the fragment is retrieved.

The Dream Fragment previously locked by the Heavenly Sphere Clock lies in a very distant location, beyond the reach of Rod's strength at the time.

Thus, no action had been taken.

Unexpectedly, this structure was also incomplete.

After being restored, the Heavenly Sphere Clock transformed into a structure composed of a massive base and sphere.

The Book of Knowledge exclaimed excitedly, "A complete Heavenly Sphere Clock can precisely locate the position of a Dream Fragment, accurate to within ten yards. This is the smallest detection range for Dream Fragments. As long as you come within ten yards, no obstacles can block the perception between you and it!"

Rod extended his right hand, placing it on the base of the Heavenly Sphere Clock.

In the next moment, his vision transcended infinite space, arriving above a dark city.

Looking down, the city was covered with black, decaying matter.

Upon a closer look, the decaying matter consisted of entwined flesh and organs—hearts, stomachs, lungs, intestines, brains—interlinked, squirming slightly, overwhelmingly disgusting.

More terrifying was when Rod's gaze fell upon it, a murky eyeball emerged within the decaying matter.

When it locked eyes with Rod, he felt as if struck by lightning, his vision retracting instantly.

Yet, the overwhelming impact remained, sending Rod staggering, as a blot of black substance spewed from the Heavenly Sphere Clock, falling to the ground, quickly rooting, growing vascular-like tissues.

The Book of Knowledge exclaimed in horror, "Pollution! Highly active pollution! Master, quickly, use the Goddess' Tears to purify it. Do not let it spread here; the current self-cleaning ability within the Dream Realm cannot handle this kind of pollution, nor can Humanity purify this evil propagation."

Startled, Rod immediately took out the Goddess' Tears, sprinkling it on the ground.

With a mere hiss, the pure Goddess' Tears, like concentrated acid, instantly corroded the black active substance, cloudy bubbles and pus flowing out, quickly evaporated by the self-cleaning ability within the Dream Realm.

The Book of Knowledge breathed a sigh of relief, "Thank goodness, Master, we must stock more Goddess' Tears in the Dream Realm."

Rod nodded. The Goddess' Tears are an exceptionally cost-effective Dream Creation, requiring only one tear stone, and three Starlight Fragments.

These aren't especially precious materials, yet they create the potent purifying Goddess' Tears.

The only issue is that Starlight Fragments are quite special and not easy to obtain.

They only scatter on the earth during special star phases, such as when the stars flash or return.

It is a special creation of the Stars, extremely hard to preserve, hence the limited quantity of Goddess' Tears.

"I hope the next star flash comes soon."

Rod sighed, briefly recounting what he had seen earlier.

After hearing the explanation, the Book of Knowledge turned somewhat gloomy, "Just the mere encounter of Spiritual Vision lets it track here; this is a terror beyond True King Level. It will be a long time before we can claim this Dream Fragment."

"True King Level?"

Rod was startled, "Isn't that an Ancient God?"

The Book of Knowledge nodded.

"A true God—not all Ancient Gods are worthy of being called gods. Strictly speaking, the Ancient Gods you're familiar with aren't true Ancient Gods; the Ancient God of Flesh Rebirth or King of the Deep Sea you slew weren't either."

"In the Ancient Epoch, Gods were exceedingly ancient and powerful entities in the universe, existing beyond the realm of human imagination, surpassing Strong Sources."
