Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Chapter 126: In the Form of a Human!_3

The Qi and Blood within his body surged, and it was impossible for Zhang Beixing not to be angry.

But he didn't show it.

He knew these traffickers were provoking him to intentionally enrage him. They did this for two reasons: first, to revel in his anger, and second, to disrupt his breathing rhythm, rendering him unable to continue the chase.

I can't fall into their trap.

With this in mind, Zhang Beixing took a deep breath and suppressed his emotions.

While running, he quietly took off his coat, revealing the black vest and T-shirt he wore underneath.

He grasped the clasp of the black vest.

Zhang Beixing pulled it off in one smooth motion.

SNAP!

Instantly, he had torn off the black vest and was holding it in his hand.

Seeing Zhang Beixing act this way, one of the traffickers scoffed, "Heh. What a foolish kid. He must be crazy." The boss, Xiao Wu, and the rest of them were similarly unimpressed.

They merely thought it was a plain black vest, nothing special. They even grinned, ready to taunt Zhang Beixing further.

But before they could speak, the next second—

THUD!

A muffled sound came from the side of the road.

Inside the silver van, the smiles on the traffickers' faces froze.

Zhang Beixing had taken off the black vest and casually tossed it onto the ground beside him.

The vest landed with a heavy thud, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Seeing this, the boss was dumbfounded.

He rubbed his eyes vigorously, making sure he wasn't seeing things. Then, he was filled with stunned disbelief.

What the hell?

Just taking off a vest makes such a loud noise when it hits the ground?

So you were wearing that thing the whole time you were chasing us?

Damn it all!

The cigarette fell from the boss's lips.

If even he was this stunned, let alone the others.

Sounds of sharp intakes of breath came from inside the van.

It was in this moment that they finally understood why Zhang Beixing had been able to knock out Tiger so easily earlier, and why he was now bold enough to chase their vehicle on foot.

Turns out he actually had some skill!

"Could he be an athlete?" one of them muttered. "But what good would that do? Does he really think he can fucking catch the car? Let's see how many minutes he can keep this up!"

Someone else, having figured this out, became disdainful.

Meanwhile, outside the van, after shedding the weighted vest, Zhang Beixing felt completely unburdened.

His speed soared instantly, and it wasn't long before he closed the gap once again.

The first to notice this was Xiao Wu, the driver. Seeing Zhang Beixing's figure rapidly growing clearer as he drew closer, Xiao Wu's heart leaped into his throat. He anxiously said, "Boss, that guy's speeding up! He's about to catch us! What do we do?"

The boss had also noticed.

His amazement deepened.

"He's got some moves!" the boss remarked, but he still wasn't too concerned.

Because that was all there was to it.

He turned to Xiao Wu. "Keep driving. Don't worry about him. The kid's just bluffing. I refuse to believe he can actually maintain this speed to chase us! Bullshit!"

Zhang Beixing was indeed running faster, even close to catching them. But so what? He's ultimately on foot. And we're in a car. The car can keep going as long as it has fuel. But what about him? What will he do when he runs out of stamina? Is he going to burn his Qi and Blood to keep chasing? When that time comes, he'll only be able to watch us leave, powerless to do anything.

Understanding this, the boss remained unconcerned.

He just sat in his seat, pondering how he should spend the money earned from selling this little girl. Should he buy his own daughter a luxurious dress, or take her on a trip around the world? Or perhaps... do both? The boss thought that was a good idea. He imagined the look of admiration his own daughter would give him. This further solidified his determination to see this child trafficking job through to the end.

As he fantasized about the wonderful life ahead…

...

「On the other side, in the woods.」

With the "authoritative" wail of police sirens, the Shishi City police officers, having rushed as fast as they could, finally arrived at the scene.

Inspector Bai and Li Shuo got out of the car.

They scanned their surroundings and soon found a Mercedes-Benz parked at the foot of the mountain.

Recalling what Lin Siqi had mentioned on the phone earlier, Li Shuo confirmed it was them.

He hurried forward, knocked on the window, and showed his badge.

Seeing him, Lin Siqi and Lin Pengfei opened the car doors and got out.

After they exited the car, the group finally met. But as their eyes met, they all paused.

A flicker of recognition passed between them. They all looked vaguely familiar to each other, as if they had met somewhere before.

However, it was clearly not the time to dwell on this. Li Shuo eagerly looked at Lin Siqi and asked, "Ms. Lin, how is your companion? It's only been a short while; he shouldn't have gotten far, right? We should be able to catch up in the car."

Lin Siqi's expression was complex.

But there was no time to hesitate. She quickly handed over her phone. "Officer, this is his live location. See for yourself!"

Li Shuo hurriedly took it and focused on the screen.

He saw the phone's screen displaying the active WeChat location service, a green dot moving rapidly across it.

But most importantly, when Li Shuo registered the distance between the green dot and their current location, his eyes widened in utter disbelief.

"???"
