A withered body, an inflated chest, an open mouth, a flicker of white light in the eyes, Jué's chest deflated rapidly at a speed visible to the naked eye. No sound emerged, but everyone present knew Jué had activated something. It was just that the sound surpassed human hearing, so no one heard it. From Jué, a ripple in the air suddenly spread outwards in all directions.
With a bang, the already crack-lined stone sculpture beneath Jué's feet shattered instantly. As if influenced by the breaking of the sculpture, the entire mountain peak began to quake violently, with continuous noises emanating from all around, and some areas already starting to collapse.
This change threw the people standing on the mountaintop into chaos, everyone understanding that Jué was the cause, yet none dared to stop him. Everything now seemed too bizarre, so bizarre that they couldn't even describe it. The desiccated Jué looked like a dried corpse, yet such a corpse imposed an indescribable pressure on them.
An eerie aura erupted from Jué, casting a shadow over the hearts of those on the mountaintop. Unable to shake off this shadow, they could only frantically try to escape. But now the entire mountaintop was shaking violently, and they struggled even to stand, let alone run. Except for a few Wind Element superpower users, everyone else was trapped on the mountaintop, swaying with its movements.
The only relatively stable place was the large pit where Mr. Rui and Sorres stood. Mr. Rui remained firm, his stance unwavering. Clearly, this place was unaffected. Sorres still sat on the ground, looking in horror at Jué in his supernatural display. Under normal circumstances, even superpower users would only meet death if a major artery in their chest were pierced and not treated in time. Yet Jué not only survived but demonstrated tremendous power, giving Sorres a bad feeling.
The shattered stone sculpture turned to powder in the intangible ripples and dissipated into the air, while a gap appeared where the sculpture had stood. The gap seemed to appear out of thin air, leading to a world that was collapsing, with everything inside it continually falling and shattering, revealing pitch-black darkness. Within this world, a white figure was howling at the sky, appearing crazed and ferocious, seemingly the culprit behind the world's ruin.
When Mr. Rui saw the tear in the air, his expression changed abruptly. He believed this was the legendary place. However, it was now collapsing, and anyone who ventured in would face a dead end, not to mention an even more vicious white figure inside.
A frigid mountain wind poured from the hole into another collapsing world, attracting the white figure inside, whose neck twisted abruptly at the sight of the tear in the air, a smile of delight on his face. With a sharp howl, the white figure transformed into a white light, flying rapidly towards the narrowing gap.
Seeing the white figure flying towards the rupture, Mr. Rui, who had been watching it intently, felt his heart skip a beat. Without warning, he raised his hand and hurled a Fireball at the white figure. Instinctively, he knew he could not let the figure escape, or it would spell great trouble. But before his Fireball reached the tear, it suddenly extinguished in the air.
A hint of malevolence flashed across Jué's face as he looked at the attacking Mr. Rui with a warning expression. This glance sent a chill through Mr. Rui's heart. In this brief hesitation, the white figure burst out from the tear.
The white figure zooping through the gap threw back its head and emitted a piercing screech, venting its excitement from escaping that collapsing world. Then it glanced at Mr. Rui and Sorres, whose faces were full of shock, but instead of bothering them, it turned and charged at Jué.
This was an obvious act of provocation.
Seeing the white figure charging, the shriveled Jué showed no intent to resist. Instead, he opened his arms, revealing the ghastly wound in his chest and the continually pulsating Blood Ball to welcome the white figure. With a cackling laugh, the white figure swiftly dove into Jué's wound.
As soon as the white figure dove into Jué's body, the densely packed red lines on Jué's body ignited into red flames, burning his body. In just an instant, Jué's clothes and hair were entirely incinerated. The withered body spread its arms, allowing the flames to burn. Under the scorching of the flames, his skin turned red, like heated iron, yet despite how his skin appeared, there was no sign of it being scorched.
The flames continued to blaze fiercely, emanating a towering evil aura, coupled with intense energy fluctuations. What sort of energy fluctuation was that? Even with Mr. Rui's strength, upon sensing this energy fluctuation, he couldn't help but feel the urge to retreat. Mr. Rui clearly understood he had no chance against Jué in this state.
The seemingly fierce flames exuded a chilling aura, causing the nearby Mr. Rui and Sorres to feel waves of cold.
Gradually, the red flames started changing color, from deep red to light red, then gradually to white. However, as the flames turned white, the chilling aura grew even stronger. When the flames became white, Jué's face showed a look of enjoyment, his originally withered, red-lined body slowly becoming full, and the lines on him sunk back under his skin, disappearing.
Now Jué had returned to his original form, except for the ghastly wound in his chest and his eyes, which were devoid of any sparkle and appeared gray and clouded. Aside from these, Jué was no different from before.
When Jué's body reverted to its original form, the white flames around him gradually retracted, finally sinking into his body. With the disappearance of the flames, the chilling aura also vanished. But the towering evil aura on Jué not only remained but grew even stronger.
Twisting slightly, checking himself up and down, Jué noticed the large wound on his chest and looked displeased, his head causing him discomfort. Taking a deep breath, Jué swung his arms, and a massive amount of white flames suddenly erupted from the wound running through his chest and back.
These flames were as thick and sticky as glue.
The flames once again covered Jué's body but did not burn him, instead gathering on his body, eventually morphing into various shapes. When the flames vanished, the wound was gone, and his originally bare body was clothed with a set of ancient-styled white attire. His previously bald head now had long hair running down to his waist. His previously gray and unfocused eyes regained their former vitality, yet the feeling he gave off now was that this Jué was not the same Jué.
Lightly swaying his body, Jué didn't use his abilities, yet he suddenly floated up, his long hair fluttering without wind, and the ancient-styled white clothes gently swayed, occasionally making a rustling sound. Lowering his head, Jué looked at Mr. Rui and Sorres on the ground, opened his mouth, and after a long silence, he finally spoke, "Mr. Rui and Sorres, correct?" His voice was unfamiliar, completely different from Jué's previous voice, yet his appearance was unmistakably Jué's.
