Urban Soldier Young Master

Chapter 647: Are You Sure?

Looking at Qin Ruojing's smug and teasing face, Chu Ge still found it hard to accept his own guesses, but quickly brushed off the awkwardness. The emotions swirling in his heart... were so tangled that they were hard to express in words.

After pondering for a moment, Chu Ge put on his signature smile, "Wife, you weren't thinking of spicing up our wedding night with a little entertainment, and that's why you called Yaqi over, were you?"

After all, both women opposite him were the closest people to him recently, so there was nothing he couldn't say. Not to mention, his words weren't too explicit. Even if he were to be more straightforward or say something wrong, everyone could laugh it off. Honestly, Chu Ge truly hoped he was just joking.

Or rather, it wasn't just that Chu Ge hoped it was a joke; no matter how he thought about it, he felt this whole thing was indeed a joke — a complete, unambiguous joke!

Qin Ruojing's eyes lit up. She did want to tease Chu Ge, but to really spell it out was a bit awkward, too. Since Chu Ge had asked in such a way, it was a good starting point. As they say, the beginning is the hardest part, and with Chu Ge's question, it would be much easier to continue the conversation.

However, Qin Ruojing was also speechless. She hadn't had enough of seeing Chu Ge's stunned expression, yet this guy had already returned to his carefree self. His ability to adjust his mood and adapt to the atmosphere made her feel ashamed; just how strong-hearted was this guy?

"Actually, I'm the one here to support you." Qin Ruojing gave a playful smile and pulled the somewhat awkwardly placed hand of Tong Yaqi, "The real star is Sister Yaqi."

Thankfully, Chu Ge wasn't drinking water at the time; otherwise, he surely would have spat it out. Even though he had mentally prepared himself, he couldn't be certain. He had just been testing the waters with his comment, not expecting Qin Ruojing to respond so strongly.

As for Tong Yaqi, who was usually poised, her expression was now indescribable, caught between embarrassment and confusion.

Chu Ge's mouth twitched twice as he glanced at Qin Ruojing and then at Tong Yaqi. He still felt like he was dreaming.

Even though he heard Qin Ruojing's words clearly, he was still very suspicious. Was it possible that Qin Ruojing had some misunderstanding that he was unaware of?

While Chu Ge was pondering, Qin Ruojing turned to give Tong Yaqi an encouraging glance and tugged at her hand, "Sister Yaqi, didn't you say you were starving because of this guy? Now that you're here and he's here too, why don't you go over there?"

Although she was tugged twice, Tong Yaqi didn't move, shooting Qin Ruojing a conflicted glance and hurriedly defending, "Xiaojing, what are you saying? When did I ever say such a thing?"

"Sister Yaqi, isn't it embarrassing?" Qin Ruojing smiled even more teasingly and brightly, "There's no one else in the room. It's just us, so if you said it, you said it. No need to deny it, right?"

Bearing a stomach full of shock, Chu Ge remained silent. He really couldn't understand what Qin Ruojing was thinking.

Being at this point in the conversation, it seemed that Qin Ruojing indeed wanted something to happen between Tong Yaqi and him, but what was the significance of her actions?

Moreover, seeing Qin Ruojing's demeanor, it was as if she didn't mind sharing her man with Tong Yaqi; she seemed even happy about it.

What kind of situation was this? Wasn't this a mistake?

"Sister Yaqi, come on." When Qin Ruojing saw Tong Yaqi remaining still, she tugged her hand again, "It's not just you who's starving; that guy is too. Seeing you both hungry makes me feel guilty, so stop hesitating."

Tong Yaqi's heart pounded wildly as she was finally half-pushed, half-persuaded to the bedside, where Qin Ruojing placed her next to Chu Ge, sitting side by side with him.

As soon as Tong Yaqi sat down, she felt like she was on pins and needles, thorns on her back, and walking on thin ice — torn, truly torn.

Nervousness, awkwardness, confusion, and a tinge of anticipation — it was hard to say which feeling was most dominant. In any case, it was indescribably complicated.

On the surface, Chu Ge didn't react as dramatically as Tong Yaqi, but the shock and confusion within him only grew. He couldn't grasp Qin Ruojing's true intentions; could this be some test for him?

Unable to figure it out, Chu Ge decided to remain quiet, instead focusing his gaze on Qin Ruojing, staying unchanged in response to change.

Qin Ruojing, already uneasy because she hadn't been intimate with Chu Ge, felt even more awkward under his gaze.

It was as if those eyes could see right through her, seeing her as the innocent and pure girl she really was, making her subconsciously feel guilty.

"Chu Ge, why are you looking at me? I've even brought Sister Yaqi to you. Do whatever you want; just pretend I'm not here. Really, I'm just a transparent person now."

With a bit of guilty mumbling, Qin Ruojing sat next to Tong Yaqi.

"Your meaning is, you want me and Yaqi to...?" Chu Ge pinched the bridge of his nose, unable to continue playing dumb, and looked sideways at Qin Ruojing, deciding to lay it all out plainly.

Qin Ruojing smiled as if it were a matter of course, "Otherwise, why would I ask Yaqi to come over?"

"Right now? Right here? Right under your nose?" Chu Ge's gaze was fixed on Qin Ruojing, his voice pausing for a few seconds, "On the first night of us getting our marriage license?"

Although Chu Ge's tone was rather flat, with each question he asked, Tong Yaqi became increasingly nervous. By the time Chu Ge finished speaking, Tong Yaqi felt as if she were sitting on pins and needles, twisting her fingers tightly, her complexion changed several times before she finally stood up from the bed.

"Xiaojing, Chu Ge, I think... I better go back."

"Don't."

"No need."

Before Tong Yaqi could get up, Chu Ge and Qin Ruojing simultaneously held onto one of Tong Yaqi's hands each, causing her, who was already unsteady, to sit right back down.

Upon hearing Chu Ge's "No need" and seeing his hand gripping Tong Yaqi's wrist, Qin Ruojing couldn't help but be taken aback.

She didn't want Tong Yaqi to leave to prevent her secret from being exposed, but why was Chu Ge also stopping Tong Yaqi from leaving? Was it simply to solve the problem of "hunger," or were there some other reasons?

"Yaqi, Xiaojing was right earlier, after all, there's no outsider here." Chu Ge gave Tong Yaqi a gentle smile, then looked past her to meet Qin Ruojing's eyes, "Are you sure? Are you planning to see us do something?"

Qin Ruojing internally gave a bitter laugh. Of course, she actually wanted to leave, but after much deliberation, she had come to one conclusion: regardless of her awkwardness, she must stay here. Doing so would substantiate her excuses, minimizing Chu Ge's suspicions as much as possible.

Moreover, she couldn't rush to explain; she must wait for a suitable opportunity when Chu Ge questioned her, otherwise, Chu Ge might become suspicious.

"Of course, I'm sure."

Doing something with another woman in front of his own wife, with the wife's consent no less, seemed absurd on the face of it, but for the current Chu Ge, besides absurdity, he felt an inexplicable vexation, even anger.

He was serious about Qin Ruojing and this marriage, so unless he got a thoroughly convincing reason, all that was happening seemed like a farce.

So much had happened today; Chu Ge felt his brain was somewhat overwhelmed. Even though he never considered himself to be that slow, right now, he couldn't make sense of many things.

How did it come to this? What was Qin Ruojing thinking? Could she really be serious?

Chu Ge was baffled but nodded and smiled slightly, turning his gaze to Tong Yaqi, "Yaqi, are you willing?"

Panicked inside, Tong Yaqi had actually been conflicted for a long time before Chu Ge asked her this question. Even now, she hadn't given herself a definitive answer.

She found it difficult to imagine what the situation would be like if they followed Qin Ruojing's plan. She didn't know whether one day in the future, Qin Ruojing would distance herself from her or even fall out with her over this matter.

But if she left, Qin Ruojing's troubles would be unsolvable. Qin Ruojing was already Chu Ge's wife, yet she wasn't allowing him to do anything, which didn't make sense either. Once they reached that step, their plan would certainly be exposed.

Besides, it was Qin Ruojing who initiated this idea and asked for her help. Whether as Qin Ruojing's subordinate, friend, or sister, declining it would be unjustifiable.

While Tong Yaqi was caught between a rock and a hard place, she felt Qin Ruojing squeeze her hand, and out of the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of Qin Ruojing's expression filled with that plea and anticipation.

Tong Yaqi gritted her teeth in secret, finally nodded to Chu Ge with a barely audible "Hmm," deciding to courageously go ahead with it today, allowing herself to completely act on a whim this once.

Chu Ge, having received an answer from Tong Yaqi, glanced at Qin Ruojing, seeing that she was also observing him, and suddenly gave a faint smile before holding onto one of Tong Yaqi's hands.

Unable to figure it out, Chu Ge decided not to think about it anymore, nor did he want to ask for now; he would seek his answers through actions.

Although doing this was unfair to Tong Yaqi, Chu Ge had no other thoughts at the moment. The reason he acted this way was purely to understand what Qin Ruojing was truly thinking.

Sitting opposite Tong Yaqi, the corner of Chu Ge's eye never left Qin Ruojing. He was exceptionally persistent at this moment; he had to see clearly what Qin Ruojing meant and if she would stop him from his current actions.

Yet, Chu Ge truly couldn't comprehend Qin Ruojing's current reaction.
