Urban Soldier Young Master

Chapter 522: Come to My House at 6

Chu Ge dialed Mu Lingshan's number. Wasn't this Tiger Girl up to something with the Jinkai Villa? Well, he might as well play along with her.

Previously, Chu Ge couldn't be bothered with this matter because Jinkai Villa had nothing to do with him. If he hadn't overheard that woman's phone call, he wouldn't even have known about the place.

But now, it's different. Since that place was where Luo Suyun's happiness once shattered, he felt he had a reason to "wander around" there.

The call went through, but even after ringing for a while, Mu Lingshan didn't pick up.

Chu Ge could only put his phone away. Judging by this, the Tiger Girl was probably still upset, so it was understandable that she didn't answer.

Anyway, Chu Ge dialed Liu Weijiang's number. This guy's head was filled with debauchery, so he definitely wasn't unfamiliar with such places.

This time, the call connected immediately, and Liu Weijiang's voice came through the receiver, "Young Master Chu."

The voice didn't sound any different from usual, still with a hint of surprise and flattery, but in those short two words, Chu Ge could discern a subtle unease and hesitation.

"Can you come out to meet me at the Golden Classics Club? Do you have time?" Although it was phrased as a question, Chu Ge's tone was commanding.

A second later, Liu Weijiang's voice came through again, "Young Master Chu, you're too kind. When others look for me, I might not have time even if I'm free, but since it's you, even if I'm busy, I'll definitely make time."

"Good, see you there then, come now." Chu Ge hung up the phone, the corner of his mouth lifting into a teasing curve.

At the Golden Classics Club, Chu Ge used his Supreme Diamond Card to open a private room and waited a few more minutes before Liu Weijiang knocked on the door.

In theory, Liu Weijiang's arrival wasn't slow at all, but Chu Ge gave him a half-smiling look, "Weijiang, I've been waiting for a while; the tea's even a bit cold now."

Looking at Chu Ge sitting on the sofa, legs crossed, with a slight smirk at the corner of his mouth, motioning towards the teacup on the table with his gaze, Liu Weijiang was slightly startled, his eyes flickered briefly, then he said with a smile, "Young Master Chu, there was a bit of traffic, I'm really sorry. How about tonight I find a place and make it up to you?"

Chu Ge smiled slightly without responding to Liu Weijiang's words and casually pulled out a cigarette. Liu Weijiang quickly stepped forward, pulling out an elegant silver Dupont lighter from his pocket.

"There's no need for such formalities; the tea isn't completely cold. Actually, I haven't waited long."

Chu Ge casually remarked, and Liu Weijiang's pupils contracted sharply, his right hand trembled slightly, causing the lighter's flame to flicker.

Once Liu Weijiang lit the cigarette, Chu Ge didn't waste any more words and got straight to the point, albeit making a slight change in the address.

"Young Master Liu, I hear there's a Jinkai Villa in our Litown? Is the environment pretty good?"

"Oh, Young Master Chu, just call me Weijiang."

Upon hearing "Young Master Liu," Liu Weijiang's expression changed briefly before he said with a smile, "It's not bad; is Young Master Chu interested in checking it out?"

Chu Ge exhaled a puff of smoke and smiled faintly, "Heh, I was just asking casually."

Liu Weijiang hardly believed Chu Ge was just asking casually and immediately started talking about Jinkai Villa, leaving nothing out.

While Liu Weijiang was explaining, Chu Ge listened quietly, occasionally sipping tea. After he finished, Chu Ge nodded slightly and left with the excuse of having "sudden matters."

Liu Weijiang followed Chu Ge out, always half a step behind. It wasn't until the Maserati disappeared from his sight that he breathed a sigh of relief, realizing that, unknown to him, cold sweat had already gathered on his forehead.

Chu Ge was subtly intimidating him in a very assertive manner. He wondered how his performance had appeared in Chu Ge's eyes.

Liu Weijiang wasn't mistaken; Chu Ge was indeed subtly intimidating him.

Based on his previous interactions with Liu Weijiang, Chu Ge found him somewhat interesting. Liu Weijiang's connection with He Junming was partly due to Chu Ge's influence.

Now, with the He Family in turmoil, he had no doubt that Liu Weijiang might have caught wind of it, so he wanted to observe Liu Weijiang while getting some information about Jinkai Villa.

If Liu Weijiang had caught wind and immediately started avoiding him and He Junming, even though that would be understandable, there would be no point in further interactions with such a person.

In the end, Chu Ge was reasonably satisfied, at least temporarily pleased.

While he hadn't gotten much substantial information about Jinkai Villa or figured out who was backing the shady business there, it didn't matter. At least one thing was certain: Liu Weijiang told him everything he knew.

Jinkai Villa is indeed a cancerous tumor, not only involving prostitution and gambling but also incidents of murder.

However, the murder case just bubbled up briefly, didn't even cause a ripple, and was left unresolved.

As for the gambling busts, the city has attempted a few in recent years. It's unclear if these were just for show or actual efforts to crackdown. Either way, they've caught no one and the villa continues to make steady profits.

After leaving the Golden Classics Club, Chu Ge returned to his car and called Mu Lingshan again. This Tiger Girl still wouldn't answer. Not wanting to bother, he sent her a text instead: "Six o'clock, come to my place."

While driving, he mulled over the situation and considered that if he intervened to deal with Jinkai Villa, not only would he be avenging Luo Suyun's family, but he could also lend Mu Lingshan a hand, making their relationship smoother.

With this thought in mind, Chu Ge called He Qing to confirm she was home, then went to knock on her door.

Time tends to fly by when you're with a beautiful woman, especially one who is both elegant and gracious, occasionally making charming little jokes. After finishing the necessary conversation, they casually chatted about other things and didn't realize it was already five thirty.

"You take care of that matter then, I'm heading off now." Chu Ge checked the time on his phone and took his leave.

"It's already dinner time, and you're just leaving like that? You're being unfair!"

He Qing extended her delicate hand, two fingers gently brushing her forehead, showing a slightly pouty expression. Although her actions and expression were simple, they exuded an extreme beauty when done by her.

If it were another man, hearing her half-joking, half-serious words and seeing her playful yet pouting eyes, would be completely captivated. Ignoring her would be downright evil.

Chu Ge, however, gave an apologetic smile, shook his head, and said, "Another day. Didn't I once leave you alone without you starving? I've got things to do, bye."

Watching Chu Ge actually walk away, He Qing shook her head helplessly, with a look of mixed feelings.

If it were another man, after hearing about the He Family's troubles, he might either want to distance himself to avoid trouble or seize the opportunity to show concern, comfort, and get close, trying to win her favor, right?

Yet, Chu Ge truly didn't offer any comfort when she said none was needed. Hmm... perhaps, even if she hadn't said that, this guy would have done the same?

From the time she returned, he hadn't spent much time with her. Today was the longest. This obviously shows Chu Ge doesn't consider her an outsider and has absolute confidence in her, believing she can face these challenges correctly.

Logically speaking, she agreed, but if this guy said a few comforting words and spent more time with her, she would also be happy.

This contradictory feeling of not wanting any display from Chu Ge, yet hoping for one, is truly complex.

Yet, compared to the helplessness, there's a bit more joy. This proves that her judgment is excellent; Chu Ge's attitude is what real manliness is.

Ah... it's lonely at the top. She's like this and, in a sense, so is Chu Ge with his detached lifestyle.

Meanwhile, Mu Lingshan was standing below Chu Ge's building, grinding her teeth as she looked at the text message on her phone.

In the morning, she came excitedly, only to have the door slammed in her face. She waited, exhausted, at the door all morning. Although Chu Ge clearly saw her, he pretended not to notice, almost fleeing at top speed. He even managed to avoid her despite her attempts to catch him at the elevator.

Giving him so much attention only to receive indifference from Chu Ge, how could she endure it?

Just when she lost all hope for him, Chu Ge called her. In such circumstances, of course, she didn't pick up!

A bit later, when he called again, her anger slightly subsided, pondering whether she should answer and hear what Chu Ge wanted to say.

Not surprisingly, it must have been an apology, right?

Staring at the phone for a while, Mu Lingshan was about to answer when the ringing stopped. She thought to herself that if he called again, she'd contemplate answering.

However, Chu Ge didn't call again but sent a text message with a commanding tone.

In truth, when she first saw the message, she had a surge of anger and nearly threw her phone. What was this about? Absolutely infuriating!

Even so, she strangely found herself coming, arriving at Chu Ge's house at five o'clock as instructed, despite feeling more annoyed.
