Urban Soldier Young Master

Chapter 293 Little Waist and Old Waist

Shu Lulu fiddled with a few things, then grabbed her computer and headed into Chu Ge's bedroom. After connecting to the Wi-Fi, she sat cross-legged on Chu Ge's bed, humming a tune as she logged into an online game.

"Hey, old man, come here. I want to show you something."

Feeling conflicted, Chu Ge absentmindedly sat down on the edge of the bed and asked distractedly, "What is it?"

"It's the game I'm playing. I've been playing this game for five years, and now that summer break is here, I can finally play as much as I want. Old man, will you play with me? I've already registered an account for you and created a character. The profession and character name are all set, and I've even bought the latest gift package for you."

After glancing at Shu Lulu and her computer screen, Chu Ge realized she was playing the same game as He Junming.

This game, he and Chu Shiyao had played it with He Junming for a few days before, but he lost interest when he added some skills incorrectly on his character.

On the screen was Shu Lulu's character selection interface, with several rows of characters, all at maximum level. Chu Ge recognized a few weapons from some characters, which, although not top-tier gear, were considered quite good.

Soon after, Shu Lulu used the mouse to select a level one character. It was a mage profession, a cute little girl wearing a red dress, named "Little Swaying Waist."

"Old man, I plan to play this character during this summer before I go to college. Can I use your computer for a moment to log in another account? This is my gift to you."

Chu Ge handed the computer to Shu Lulu, who quickly logged into another account that had only one character, a brawny, very macho looking male character, whose name made Chu Ge chuckle — it was called "Old Stiff Waist."

"Little Swaying Waist," "Old Stiff Waist," these are clearly a couple's names — a girl and an old man, which evidently reflects their real-life situation.

"Old man, did I choose good names?"

Chu Ge flicked Shu Lulu's forehead, "What's good about them? Little Swaying Waist is fairly decent, but Old Stiff Waist sounds a bit too indecent, doesn't it?"

Rubbing her forehead, Shu Lulu giggled, "Old man, have you heard this saying that behind the internet, nobody knows you're a dog? After all, nobody will know the character is you, so it doesn't matter. Can you honestly say you don't have even a little indecent thought in your heart? I think the names are great; I've already spent money on outfits, so come play with me."

Chu Ge initially wanted to refuse, but then he thought, well, he doesn't have much else to do now. Playing some games with Shu Lulu is indeed a good way to pass the time, much better than staring at each other, trying to do something else.

Thinking this way, Chu Ge nodded and joined Shu Lulu in gaming.

Whether it's Shu Lulu's "Little Swaying Waist" or Chu Ge's "Old Stiff Waist," both were level one characters. Fighting monsters on the corresponding maps wasn't very slow, but not particularly fast either.

Moreover, it was Shu Lulu's first time playing the profession she chose; she wanted to show off her skills to Chu Ge but ended up dying several times due to incorrect skill usage, leaving her quite frustrated.

Seeing Shu Lulu so frustrated she was about to smash the keyboard, Chu Ge couldn't help but laugh. How could this little girl be so much like He Junming, getting so worked up while playing a game?

"Little girl, leveling up like this is too slow. Why don't I bring in a high-level character to carry you? It'll be much easier for you to level up your account once your level is higher."

"Hmm? Old man, no way! You've played this game before? You also have a high-level character?"

Chu Ge chuckled, "It's not my account, it belongs to a little brother of mine. His gear is pretty good."

Speaking of which, Chu Ge logged out of his "Old Stiff Waist" and, under Shu Lulu's astonished gaze, logged into He Junming's account.

Shu Lulu was already curious when Chu Ge logged in, and when she saw on the computer screen the ornate character, with a pair of golden wings and a golden longsword, she was dumbfounded.

"Wow! Old man, your little brother is quite a big spender, huh? This character... I'd estimate he spent at least a hundred thousand on it, right? Old man, can I play with this account and feel the luxury of being a gaming tycoon?"

Shu Lulu blinked and quickly grabbed Chu Ge's computer mouse, inspecting the character's gear. After a thorough look, she spoke with surprised admiration.

Upon hearing the "hundred thousand" figure, Chu Ge felt no particular way about it; with He Junming having He Qing as a sister, spending tens of thousands on a game didn't mean much.

"Play it if you want. I'll use your account, and you can use this to level up your low-level character."

"Great! Fantastic!"

Shu Lulu excitedly rubbed her hands together and immediately used He Junming's character to rush into the dungeon with her "Little Waist Twist".

However, just as she gleefully cleared the monsters on a map, a "Game Connection Interrupted" dialogue box suddenly popped up in the center of the game interface.

Not only did He Junming's account drop, but even the "Little Waist Twist" controlled by Chu Ge dropped too.

Shu Lulu was frustrated again; she had just used two skills and hadn't even had enough fun before the game was cut off.

She puckered her lips and logged in again, but her pupils suddenly constricted, her little face instantly turning pale with shock.

The game actually notified her of a violation of the game's terms and imposed a permanent ban on her account!

Not only He Junming's account but Shu Lulu's own account received the same punishment!

"How... how could this happen? I didn't do anything! How could it be banned?"

Shu Lulu was completely at a loss, subconsciously mumbling to herself, utterly clueless about what to do, since that account was conservatively valued at over ten thousand dollars!

Seeing her extremely worried expression, Chu Ge shook his head with amusement, "I say, Lulu, look at you, scared like that. It's not that big of a deal, right?"

"How could it not be a big deal? That account has top-notch equipment, if it's banned just like that, I couldn't pay them back even if I sold myself!"

Chu Ge realized that Shu Lulu misunderstood his meaning and was about to speak when she, with a still pale face, said, "Even without mentioning that superb account, my own account represents five years of hard work. So many max-level characters were painstakingly trained by me. Those accounts... those accounts are like my children, what do I... what do I do?"

Chu Ge never really played online games; to him, it was just a way to kill time, so-called top-tier equipment were nothing more than a bunch of data that couldn't be eaten or drunk. Therefore, he couldn't fully comprehend Shu Lulu's feelings at the moment - that sense of unease, anxiety, and helplessness.

To Shu Lulu, saying this game account is like her child is not an exaggeration. Over the more than five years, she expended a lot of time and effort on this game; of course, she also spent quite a bit of money.

Whenever a top-tier item was revealed in the game, she'd excitedly clench her little fist hard. Whenever she spent time or money obtaining what she wanted, she'd have a strong sense of accomplishment.

Whenever she adorned her game character with beautiful clothes, it felt as if she herself was wearing pretty new clothes, she'd stroll around the town for a while to show off.

Her father had divorced her mother early on and later went to prison. Her mother was busy earning money to support the family, without much time to accompany her. Saying the game was her second life might be a bit exaggerated, but this game accompanied her growing up, bearing many happy or sad memories.

Friends in the guild who fought alongside her, monsters on the map that abused her countless times, NPCs on the town streets with funny lines, all of them had too many stories with Shu Lulu. Sometimes she even felt that those NPCs were alive.

She cherished this game, her account. Even when the dungeon difficulty was extremely high and almost everyone used rampant hacks to get through, she always insisted on leveling up manually, studying strategies, honing skills, defeating one monster after another that used to terrify her to the core with genuine skill. That feeling was like conquering one fortress after another, indestructible ones.

However... her account was permanently banned? She clearly didn't use any hacks, how could this be?

Upon seeing those words, her heart skipped a beat, and she couldn't even believe her eyes!

"How could this happen? How could it?"

Shu Lulu kept muttering to herself, almost forgetting Chu Ge's presence by her side until he awkwardly patted her shoulder. She suddenly came to her senses, quickly turned her head, met Chu Ge's eyes, and said helplessly, "Uncle, what should I do?"

"Why panic? When stuff like this happens, just call customer service, right? Neither of us did anything, they can just check the data casually, find that there's no problem with these accounts, and they should be unbanned soon, right?"

Shu Lulu had completely lost her head, but hearing Chu Ge's words, she finally reacted. Hastily picking up the phone, she struggled on the game homepage to find the customer service number before making the call immediately.

The line was busy the whole time, and it took Shu Lulu more than ten minutes to finally get through. However, it was a synthesized voice, instructing her to keep pressing digital keys on her phone.

Following the instructions, Shu Lulu spent quite some time pressing numbers, theoretically reaching the point of communicating with customer service, yet the receiver transmitted a synthesized voice that made her want to smash the phone in frustration.
