Urban Soldier Young Master

Chapter 277: Chu Ge Fights the Ghost

The haunted house at the amusement park is quite large, covering an area of about 500 square meters. It's a deliberately aged circular building, giving off a feeling of dilapidation, or rather, desolation.

The exterior walls, visible to the eye, are covered with the images of many grotesque monsters, speckled with "fresh blood" to enhance the horror atmosphere, and ornate "spells," making it look quite out of place with the other park facilities and the joyful atmosphere here.

However, its popularity is exceedingly high. As soon as Chu Ge entered, he saw many people waiting in line at the ticket booth, mostly excited young men and women.

After over twenty minutes in line, Chu Ge and Shu Lulu finally reached the ticket counter, where a "fox spirit" in an outfit that was quite revealing, with a fluffy tail behind, greeted them with a very professional smile as soon as she saw Chu Ge.

"Hey there, handsome gentlemen and lovely lady, you two are really lucky! Congratulations on being today's lucky customers."

"Lucky customers?"

"Yes indeed, you two are the 99th and 100th customers of the day. With just an additional ten yuans on top of the original ticket price, you can gain access to the Corpse Soul Realm."

Upon hearing the "fox spirit" at the ticket window say this, Shu Lulu immediately shook Chu Ge's arm in delight, "Uncle, cool! I've heard from my classmates that the Corpse Soul Realm is really interesting. I can't believe our luck is this good! Amazing!"

Although he wasn't familiar with what the Corpse Soul Realm was, seeing Shu Lulu so happy, and the envious looks from others around, Chu Ge figured it must be a special area inside the haunted house.

Nodding to the "fox spirit" at the window, Chu Ge purchased two tickets and, amidst a sea of envious gazes, was led by a staff member to an entrance different from those used by others.

The entrance was a ferocious ghost head with a gaping mouth. The staff member activated a switch, and the ghost head slowly parted to reveal a stone staircase leading underground. It was pitch black inside, with only a faint glimmer of light, making it impossible to see even five meters ahead.

Typically, at such a sight, most girls would feel somewhat afraid, but Shu Lulu felt nothing but sheer excitement.

Because the so-called "Corpse Soul Realm" was a place only lucky customers could enter, meaning she and Chu Ge would not be disturbed by other visitors during their exploration.

Clinging to Chu Ge's arm, Shu Lulu eagerly tugged him down, explaining to him the strange stuff she had heard from her classmates about the place.

Once they descended the stone staircase, the staff member wished them "Have a great time," then closed the stone ghost head entrance, inadvertently revealing a cold smile. He promptly reported to the boss here, who was none other than Long Kun's henchman, "Brother Li."

After descending the not-so-long stone staircase, Chu Ge surveyed the surroundings, noticing that with the combination of sound effects, light and shadow, fog, décor style, and some special effects, the place was impressively convincing, managing to create a slightly terrifying atmosphere.

Shu Lulu clutched Chu Ge's arm tightly, putting on a very frightened expression while inwardly grinning from ear to ear. In truth, she, like Chu Ge, had no interest in such places at all; the only reason she came was to have an excuse to get touchy-feely with him.

At first, they encountered props designed to scare, like bats flying suddenly from a tree hole, giant spiders descending from above, and hissing, tongue-flicking snakes leaping from shadowy tree branches.

Whenever these appeared, Shu Lulu would scream and cling tightly to Chu Ge's hand, as if she had been genuinely frightened.

Initially, Chu Ge didn't pay much attention to it, thinking Shu Lulu was truly afraid, but after Shu Lulu had been "scared" several times, he gradually realized it wasn't the case, feeling both amused and helpless.

Usually, when people come to such places, it's the guys who rack their brains to coax or persuade the girls to agree, seizing the precious chance to show off their heroic image and take advantage of the girls.

But in his case with Shu Lulu, it turned out he was being tricked by Shu Lulu, who was clearly the one taking advantage of him.

Nevertheless, even though Chu Ge noticed this, he didn't expose her.

Shu Lulu had finally endured until after the college entrance exams, a time when she needed to relax and have fun. She was so happy today that uncovering her little trick would really spoil the mood and embarrass her too much.

It's just Shu Lulu holding his hand, so be it. As long as she doesn't go too far, he decided not to fuss over it.

After walking a bit further, the terrifying atmosphere grew significantly stronger compared to the beginning, and Shu Lulu started to genuinely feel afraid.

"I died so miserably, give me back my life."

As they passed by a corpse pierced with arrows, its white robes soaked in blood, the corpse suddenly extended a pale right hand, grabbing Shu Lulu's ankle with an extremely hoarse voice, eerily saying.

"Ah!"

This time, Shu Lulu was genuinely frightened. She let out a scream, her body shivered as she looked back to see the terrifying, long-tongued "ghost" on the ground, sending chills down her spine. She tightly grasped Chu Ge's hand.

Sensing Shu Lulu's tension, Chu Ge gently patted her back, feeling a bit amused, thinking: That'll teach you to pretend; this time you're really scared, aren't you?

Chu Ge glanced at the "ghost" on the ground. The "ghost" then released its grip on Shu Lulu's ankle, let out a few hoarse howls, crawled forward a bit, and then stopped.

As they walked further, the number of "ghosts" gradually increased, and besides these "ghosts", there were various types of suddenly triggered traps, hidden weapons, but all were things that looked frightening but were not really lethal.

Although the "ghosts" here had orders to break Chu Ge's leg, they knew it was not the right time to act yet.

What they had to do now was to keep lulling Chu Ge into a false sense of security, and when he thought there was no danger here, to create an "accident" and ambush him when he was caught off guard.

When Chu Ge and Shu Lulu were not far from the exit, passing by mixed-up rows of dozens of coffins in the flickering "Ghost Fire", a teeth-grating creaking sound suddenly echoed through the air, and all the coffin lids were pushed to the side one after another, then thudded to the ground.

Immediately, more than a dozen green-faced, fang-bearing, terrifying-looking "ghosts" holding Wolf Fang Clubs crawled out from the coffins, letting out ghostly wails as they slowly surrounded Chu Ge and Shu Lulu.

Among these "ghosts", one was not holding a prop but a real, iron Wolf Fang Club. Now was the time to slowly close the distance to Chu Ge and strike him fiercely.

Ten steps, nine steps, eight steps... three steps, two steps, one step!

This "ghost" took a deep breath, excited about the benefits he would receive after his success. Amidst the chaos created by the other "ghosts," he slowly raised the Wolf Fang Club in his hand.

However, just as he was about to smash the Wolf Fang Club down on Chu Ge, Chu Ge suddenly kicked out, without any warning. With a "thump", it hit his chest, and he flew backward like a kite with broken strings, his feet leaving the ground, the Wolf Fang Club clattering to the floor with a clang.

This kick was so sudden that both Shu Lulu and the surrounding "ghosts" were stunned.

"Uncle, how did you...?" Shu Lulu asked in surprise.

"What are you doing?" one of the nearby "ghosts" angrily shouted.

This "ghost" was not one of "Boss Li's" men, but a regular employee actually working here, unaware of the plan to cripple Chu Ge.

Chu Ge laughed mockingly, "What am I doing? Pick up that Wolf Fang Club on the ground and you'll know what I'm doing."

The "ghost" frowned, looked cautiously at Chu Ge, bent down, and picked up the Wolf Fang Club. When he realized it wasn't a prop they usually used, but a real weapon capable of causing injury, he was stunned.

"Do you understand now?"

Chu Ge glanced at the dumbfounded "ghost" and said calmly, then pulled Shu Lulu's hand, walking toward the "ghost" he had kicked away, determined to find out what was going on.

However, as he had just taken a few steps, a few "ghosts" who were aware of the plan to cripple Chu Ge came charging over, shouting provocatively, "That guy hit our brothers, why are you all still standing around?"

These "ghosts" didn't give the other "ghosts" a chance to ask questions, pretending to be unaware as they raised their fists against Chu Ge.

Although they had heard of Chu Ge's formidable skills, they thought that since he was now with a burden, it would severely hamper his performance. This was an opportunity to make great achievements in front of "Boss Li" or even "Dragon Boss", not to be missed.

Unfortunately, they greatly underestimated Chu Ge or overestimated themselves.

Seeing these "ghosts" charging aggressively, Chu Ge didn't hesitate to fight back. Without a word, he engaged them directly and swiftly, even though he was with Shu Lulu, he was still like a tiger among sheep or a butterfly fluttering effortlessly among flowers, landing solid hits on the "ghosts".

At the beginning, Shu Lulu was really scared, but seeing these guys flailing around like blind men, unable to touch her or Chu Ge despite their efforts, she quickly became braver, feeling a mix of excitement and thrill, occasionally swinging her little fists to land a few hits.

In the control room, "Boss Li" stared intently at the monitor screen, watching one by one as his men were taken down by Chu Ge. Shocked and anxious, he frantically dialed Long Kun's number.
