Urban Soldier Young Master

Chapter 123 Shu Lulu Is in Trouble

On the night Chu Ge was discharged from the hospital, he moved into Qin Ruojing's house. Of course, they didn't sleep in the same room.

That night, Qin Ruoying didn't call to "bother" them, allowing Qin Ruojing to finally get a good night's sleep.

When Qin Ruojing woke up, she habitually walked towards the bathroom in her pajamas.

Just as she reached the door, the bathroom door suddenly opened. Chu Ge, shirtless, with a few bandages casually wrapped around various parts of his body and wearing only a pair of loose shorts, came walking out to meet her.

"Morning."

Seeing Chu Ge, Qin Ruojing was momentarily stunned, then immediately snapped out of her half-asleep state, realizing that there was now a man in her house.

Without responding to Chu Ge's greeting, Qin Ruojing immediately lowered her head, letting out a sigh of relief after confirming that she wasn't improperly exposed.

Although she thought the muscles on Chu Ge's body looked quite attractive and masculine, Qin Ruojing's face showed a look of annoyance.

"Can't you be more mindful of the impact? Don't you know it's uncivil to be undressed in front of a lady?"

Chu Ge chuckled and shook his head, "Madam Chairman, I've already been considerate of you, okay? If I were at home, I'd just be wearing underwear."

"But this is my home, not yours."

"So, should I leave? Or, do you want to buy me a vest?"

"You..." Qin Ruojing was speechless.

Chu Ge smiled, brushing past Qin Ruojing, and while rummaging through the fridge, he said, "Alright, hurry up and wash up. I'll make breakfast."

Qin Ruojing sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose, but finally said nothing and went into the bathroom.

Breathing in the lingering scent of Chu Ge in the air and looking at the toilet lid that had been left up for the first time since it was installed, Qin Ruojing felt even more uncomfortable.

But feeling uncomfortable wasn't going to solve anything. She couldn't exactly forbid Chu Ge from using the bathroom here and then chase him away in the morning only to have him come back in the evening.

Although... she really did want to do that.

However, it's not like Chu Ge would agree, and even if he did, she wouldn't really stoop to doing something so petty. So, she just let it go.

Locking the door, Qin Ruojing began to freshen up, and as she did, the faint aroma of fried eggs wafted through the crack in the door, prompting her to subconsciously sniff, and her stomach growled.

"Hmm... As long as he helps make breakfast and doesn't do anything too outrageous, I won't hold anything against him."

When Qin Ruojing finished freshening up and awkwardly used the toilet, Chu Ge had just finished making breakfast and set it on the dining table.

Breakfast was simple, just sandwiches with fried eggs, ham, lettuce, and two cups of hot milk.

However, even such a simple breakfast was something Qin Ruojing hadn't eaten at home for a long time. Looking at the two steaming cups of milk on the table, she suddenly felt a warmth in her heart.

Involuntarily, Qin Ruojing remembered the days when she hadn't come to Lidu City to manage the company yet and was still at home in Kyoto, where she could eat meals cooked by her mother every day.

"Come on, let's eat."

Called by Chu Ge, Qin Ruojing shifted her gaze from the milk to Chu Ge's face, which was adorned with a trademark smile. It was the same face, yet somehow much more pleasing than it had been at the bathroom door.

Uttering a "thank you," Qin Ruojing sat down at the table.

After breakfast, Qin Ruojing went back to her room to change clothes, then grabbed a key and handed it to Chu Ge.

"Here's the house key, you take it."

"You trust me a lot, aren't you afraid I'll take advantage and clear out the place?" Chu Ge teased as he took the key.

Qin Ruojing gave Chu Ge a disdainful look, "Stop with the nonsense. If you were after money, you would've happily agreed when I offered you the General Manager position at Tianjiao Film and Television. So, what's your plan for today?"

Chu Ge smiled, "Work."

"Forget it, you're still bandaged up. Don't go affecting the company's image; take another couple of days off. Tomorrow's Sunday anyway, so go back to work on Monday."

Qin Ruojing was concerned about Chu Ge's health, but her words were as sharp as ever.

"Is it considered a paid leave? No deduction in salary, right?"

Rolling her eyes at Chu Ge, Qin Ruojing slipped on her shoes at the door, and replied with a "Yes" before walking out the door.

Watching the door close behind Qin Ruojing, Chu Ge thought back to her hard exterior and soft heart, chuckling with a good mood.

After rinsing the milk glasses, Chu Ge was just about to plan out his day when the iPhone 5S, gifted by Liu Weijiang, rang in the room where he had slept the night before.

Seeing Shu Lulu's name on the screen, Chu Ge felt puzzled. In his experience, Shu Lulu never called during school hours.

"Little girl, aren't you in class today?"

"Uncle..."

There was a few seconds of silence on the phone before Shu Lulu's voice came through. It didn't sound as lively and clear as usual, but rather a bit hoarse.

"Caught a cold?"

"No... I... never mind, I'm hanging up."

Listening to the dial tone in his ear, Chu Ge felt a bit baffled and had a vague feeling that something seemed off with Shu Lulu today.

Just as he was about to call back, Chu Ge's old, antique phone rang again.

Putting down his iPhone 5S, Chu Ge picked up his old phone, and the caller ID displayed three characters: "Wang Tiezhu."

"Hello, Tiezhu?"

"Yes, yes, yes, big brother, do you remember me?" On the phone, the little security guard Wang Tiezhu's voice sounded pleasantly surprised.

"Of course I remember, I've been hoping you'd call me these days."

"Big brother, a few of us finally get some time off tonight, you see... do you have time?"

Chu Ge readily replied "Yes," and then arranged to meet Wang Tiezhu at the Tianjiao Group entrance at six in the evening.

On the phone, Wang Tiezhu repeatedly thanked "big brother" before hanging up. And just as the call ended, the iPhone 5S rang again.

The continuous phone calls made Chu Ge chuckle, as he looked at the iPhone 5S again. It was Shu Lulu calling.

"Hey, little girl, you..."

Just as Chu Ge wanted to tease Shu Lulu a bit, he couldn't continue, and his brows furrowed slightly.

Because he heard Shu Lulu's sobbing and crying over the phone.

If he hadn't heard it himself, it would be really hard for Chu Ge to believe that a girl as cheerful as Shu Lulu would cry so sadly.

"Wuwu... Uncle, can you... can you come to our school? I'm in... in Class 5, Grade 12..."

"What's wrong?"

"I... I... wuwu..."

Chu Ge, frowning, asked again, but with another sob, the call was suddenly hung up.

Putting down the phone, Chu Ge hesitated for a moment and finally changed his clothes and left the house.

After all, he and Shu Lulu knew each other, and this little girl, apart from being a bit of a troublemaker, was generally a pretty good girl.

If she really had something happen and asked him for help, Chu Ge couldn't just ignore it.

He took a taxi straight to Lidu City's Third High School.

Claiming to be a student's parent to the school guard, Chu Ge stepped through the gate of Third High School and found the classroom of Class 5, Grade 12 in the teaching building.

Since he didn't know what happened to Shu Lulu, Chu Ge just symbolically knocked twice, then pushed the classroom door open.

Inside the classroom, a middle-aged male teacher with glasses was lecturing. Seeing the door suddenly opened, he was momentarily stunned as he looked at Chu Ge.

Also stunned was a girl in the class with hair dyed several colors, looking more like a young lady than a student, who originally had a sneer on her lips.

When she snapped back to reality, a look of surprise and doubt appeared in her eyes. She hurriedly lowered her head, using a book to cover her face. Her legs, which were crossed, subconsciously went flat on the ground.

"Who are you?" On the podium, the middle-aged teacher frowned, looking at Chu Ge with an unfriendly tone.

"Excuse me for interrupting your class, I'm Shu Lulu's guardian. Where is she?" Chu Ge glanced around the classroom, not seeing Shu Lulu, and got straight to the point.

"Like parent, like child. No wonder such a kid could be taught with a parent like you."

The middle-aged teacher pushed his high-prescription glasses which still didn't help him see Chu Ge's face clearly, snorted dismissively, and said.

Hearing this, Chu Ge was more certain that something had happened to Shu Lulu!

Although the teacher's attitude annoyed him a bit, out of concern for Shu Lulu, Chu Ge didn't bother to argue and slightly raised his voice, continuing to ask, "Could you please tell me where Shu Lulu is?"

"Why are you yelling at me? Do you know you're disrupting my teaching? Also, what kind of parent are you? What kind of quality? Get out!"

Chu Ge only asked again about Shu Lulu's whereabouts, but the middle-aged teacher kept rambling, his expression growing more impatient, his thick lenses hiding eyes full of disgust.

Not only did the middle-aged teacher with poor eyesight look unfriendly, but many students in the class also cast gloating glances at Chu Ge.

Inside the classroom, there was only one person whose legs began to involuntarily tremble. From the bottom of their heart, they believed the talkative teacher on the podium was likely in big trouble!
