Huaguo Mountain, the life of the old Sage has come to an end.
The forest gathered many Demons to see him off.
Nobody expected this to happen suddenly, the air was filled with a tinge of sadness.
"You have learned a lot over the years."
The old Sage sat on a rock, holding his disciple's hand, and said, "But sometimes you act impulsively; you must learn to control your temper in the future."
"Yes."
Lady Rakshasa cried while nodding her head.
The Fox King sat to one side and snorted coldly, "Old fellow, how can you be so weak!"
He had originally thought he would be the first Demon to leave, but he did not expect to be preempted by this guy.
"Make way, the Great King is coming."
The Demons suddenly stirred, clearing a path.
Four elder monkeys led Sun Wukong in, and upon entering, Sun Wukong frowned.
"The Great King need not worry."
The old Sage said, "I'm free from illness, it's just my time coming to an end, and it cannot be changed."
He had been quite blessed on Huaguo Mountain, always in good health; if it wasn't for the ghostly Judge from Guanjiang Island telling him that he didn't have much time left, he wouldn't have noticed it at all.
Sun Wukong turned around, "I'll get you a Ginsengfruit."
"You mustn't, Great King!"
The old Sage quickly stopped him, "The Ginsengfruit is Immortal Zhenyuan's treasure, and there are only a few, how can it be wasted on an old Sage like me!"
Sun Wukong looked at him for a long time and then said, "Then wear a pumpkin on your head."
All the Demons were shocked.
The four elder monkeys immediately ordered the other Demons to find a pumpkin.
"Pumpkins do not exist in the Underworld."
The Long Armed Ape Monkey spoke.
Some Demons seemed to understand.
After finding a pumpkin, Sun Wukong placed it on the old Sage's head.
"Take this pumpkin to the Underworld, tell them I sent you," Sun Wukong told the old Sage. "King Yan should not trouble you."
The old Sage nodded; as an Immortal Official, the Great King's goodwill gesture would surely be appreciated by the Underworld.
He looked at Sun Wukong, "Great King, there's always been a question in my heart, I'm not sure if it is appropriate to ask."
Sun Wukong nodded, "Go ahead and ask."
"Why do you want us to learn skills?" the old Sage asked. "Better living conditions compared to cultivation, is it really better for the Demons?"
His question was not so much his own doubt but the doubt in the hearts of many Demons.
"I..."
Sun Wukong smiled, "I've always believed that besides cultivation talent, skills and wisdom can also be paths to cultivation. I want to create such a world."
The old Sage sighed, "If it can really be done, that would be great."
"It can be done."
Sun Wukong nodded.
The old Sage looked at him.
"It can definitely be done."
Sun Wukong added another sentence.
The tone was as usual, yet it carried a trustworthy power.
"Ah..."
The old Sage thought to himself.
This is their Great King, with a broad mind as vast as the seas, yet hiding an invincible sharpness.
Searching throughout the Three Realms, there is likely no one who can stop his path.
"What the Great King sees, I have not been able to see."
The old Sage closed his eyes, "I really wish I could see what the Great King has seen..."
After he finished speaking, his breathing gradually came to a halt.
Lady Rakshasa wept on his body.
Sun Wukong sighed silently, then saw Black and White Impermanence emerging from underground.
"Immortal."
After Black and White Impermanence appeared, they first saluted Sun Wukong.
"Nice to see you again."
Sun Wukong nodded, "Send my regards to King Yan, I hope he will treat him well."
"Immortal need not worry."
Black and White Impermanence said with a smile, "King Yan has anticipated this and sent us to Huaguo Mountain to welcome the Sage, intending for him to serve as a Judge."
They looked at the pumpkin on the old Sage's head, and their joy was even more evident.
"With the Immortal sending this pumpkin, the ten kings of the Underworld will be pleased."
They saluted Sun Wukong again and took the old Sage's soul away.
Some Demons could see Black and White Impermanence, and after hearing their words, they were no longer sad and began to rejoice.
Lady Rakshasa also turned to thank Sun Wukong.
Sun Wukong looked at her, "From now on, follow by my side."
The other Demons were all surprised.
"Great King."
The four elder monkeys quickly asked, "What is this about?"
"I will personally teach her."
Sun Wukong replied.
Lady Rakshasa had made significant contributions to Huaguo Mountain and deserved his reward.
Her learning and creativity were among the best of the Demons, crucial for Huaguo Mountain.
"There is no one else to teach you now." Sun Wukong said to Lady Rakshasa, "From now on, you'll learn from me."
Sun Wukong intended to pass on some ideas, the creative power for the future — to Lady Rakshasa.
Huaguo Mountain had Ao Luan, but she excelled at governance; for the development of technology, Sun Wukong still needed someone he could entrust.
This person had to fully understand the current technological status of Huaguo Mountain and have a flexible mind. Sun Wukong had originally favored the Fox King, but his thinking was not as flexible as that of younger Demons.
"It's just teaching."
After hearing Sun Wukong's words, the four elder monkeys were reassured.
Naturally, Lady Rakshasa was overjoyed and quickly accepted.
Meanwhile, outside the forest at the port of Yunxiao City, Ao Luan was also saying goodbye to a group.
It was the Dragon Boys and Dragon Girls from the Four Seas; their time to go home had come.
"My brother doesn't have the time to send you off."
Ao Luan handed over some wooden puppets, "I don't have any gifts for you this time, only these puppets."
The Dragon Boys and Dragon Girls took the puppets and found each one was unique, crafted in their own likeness.
"Are these carved for us by Huaguo Mountain?"
Some Dragon Girls were pleasantly surprised.
Ao Moang was among those departing and as he looked at his puppet, he noticed there were words on it.
"Is the inscription on this... wrong?"
Ao Moang hesitated to ask.
Ao Luan shook her head and smiled, "I've consulted my brother, and he said it could be written this way."
Ao Moang held the puppet dearly in his hand as he rode the clouds, leading the Dragon Boys and Dragon Girls away from Yunxiao City.
That floating city receded into the distance behind them, and after Ao Moang flew a certain distance, he looked back one last time at the perfect radiance of Yunxiao City, unable to help but grip the puppet tightly.
"Wherever you wish to go, Huaguo Mountain is still home,"—such words were inscribed on the little puppet—
Ao Moang's eyes flashed with a tear.
While beside him, several Dragon Boys and Dragon Girls could not hold back their tears any longer.
