The sea was shrouded in chaos, as if space itself had shattered.
Emperor Yao looked upon this scene and sighed, "This spell of yours is too powerful. Are you in too much of a hurry?"
"I've been taking it slow already."
Sun Wukong replied, Immortal Zhenyuan had built so many small worlds, but so far, there was not a single place that could sustain his testing.
Sun Wukong then turned into a scroll, taking with him a trail of Immortal Light and flew eastward.
"This spell is indeed interesting."
Emperor Yao watched the Immortal Light disappear into the distance.
"Let's return to the Heavenly Palace."
Sun Wukong, having failed the test, could only take Emperor Yao back to the Virtue Palace.
"There's a lot going on here. If you're bored, feel free to look around."
Sun Wukong said to Emperor Yao before immersing himself in the work of the Wanling Tree.
In the following days, Emperor Yao took up residence in Virtue Palace.
Sun Wukong was too busy to entertain him, and after staying for two days, Emperor Yao accepted the cordial invitations from other Immortals and began to visit various Immortal Mansion Cave Heavens as a guest.
The Immortals of the Three Realms lived in different places: the Thirty-Three Layered Heaven, the Mortal World, and the Underworld. The various Spirit Realms and precious lands amazed Emperor Yao.
"This Star Palace is full of treasures."
One day, Emperor Yao, well-fed and content, thought to himself.
It's no wonder the Three Realms could breed a monster like Sun Wukong. The formidable power contained within this Star Palace itself must be unparalleled even if one searched the entire Chaos.
Emperor Yao, slightly tipsy, flew through the clouds, his eyes beholding the breathtaking views of the Heavenly Palace, filling him with elation.
Living in the Three Realms in the future would indeed be carefree and at ease.
Here, Spiritual Energy was abundant, materials were plentiful, civilization thrived, and what's more precious was that Buddhism and Taoism had no conflict here.
Coupled with the Heavenly Dao, which even mortals could cultivate, various beings harmoniously coexisted under the three teachings, which compared to the Pure Land of the White Robed Venerate, was more genuine and valuable.
"Sun Wukong is indeed a talent of the ages!"
Emperor Yao couldn't help but marvel; the more he understood the Three Realms, the more he realized the depth of Sun Wukong.
The Three Realms were not so perfect in the past, and Sun Wukong's contribution was indispensable.
After closely understanding the history of the Three Realms and Sun Wukong's deeds, Emperor Yao couldn't help but admire him; indeed, he was someone with greater foresight than himself.
The path Sun Wukong had taken, though not without its brutality, had been proven right by the outcomes.
"Perhaps I should trust him a little more."
Thinking this, Emperor Yao returned to the Virtue Palace.
In the Virtue Palace, a transparent chessboard hovered above the Wanling Tree, sparkling with countless lights that threatened to spill over the board and erode the Wanling Tree.
Sun Wukong sat cross-legged in the void, his body fused with the light of the Heavenly Dao, inscrutable, gradually supressing the power of the chessboard.
The Earth Virtues Star Monarch and other Immortals also sat around him, their Immortal Light boiling, their vitality robust, casting spells to stabilize the Wanling Tree and aid Sun Wukong in suppressing the chessboard.
But their efforts were not as calm as Sun Wukong's; sweat covered each face, visibly straining.
"Do you need help?"
Emperor Yao walked over and inquired.
"The Immortal would be better off just watching."
The Earth Virtues Star Monarch glanced at him before answering.
Emperor Yao didn't understand the Wanling Heavenly Dao, so they dared not let him help.
Emperor Yao could only watch from the sidelines.
The grand Virtue Palace was very spacious, yet now it was filled with the light emitted by the chessboard on the Wanling Tree.
The Heavenly Dao Chessboard now radiated myriads of luminous beams, their sharpness piercing the sky, like fearsome Heavenly Swords, exuding an unrivaled Sword Intent, immensely powerful.
Despite not being the first time seeing it, Emperor Yao still felt his heart palpitate.
"It's getting stronger."
Emperor Yao knew the strength of the chessboard; if he were to suppress it, he would have been incapable long ago.
Perhaps even the White Robed Venerate wouldn't last more than two days.
"How much longer can he hold out?"
Emperor Yao looked at Sun Wukong, who suddenly opened his eyes at that moment, his gaze flashing like divine lamps.
"What's wrong?"
As soon as Emperor Yao's thought passed, a deathly aura suddenly appeared in the sky, and in an instant, his blood seemed to congeal and stop flowing.
Emperor Yao was startled, but in the blink of an eye, the aura vanished.
His blood began to circulate again.
"What was that?"
Emperor Yao lifted his head, his expression grave.
"The Un-dead."
Sun Wukong spoke, saying, "The one who has come this time might be a significant figure."
The presence of this Un-dead was extremely powerful, unlike any he had encountered before. Among the many Immortals in the Virtue Palace, only Sun Wukong and Emperor Yao could sense it.
But Emperor Yao barely sensed it before it disappeared again.
"Where did he go?"
Emperor Yao asked.
Sun Wukong, undistracted, slowly suppressed the chessboard.
Only after the light of the chessboard receded and peace returned did he descend to the ground, responding to Emperor Yao's question.
"That Un-dead has entered the Three Realms."
Sun Wukong continued, "He has concealed his aura; his speed is astonishing, revealing his presence only when he emerged from the void."
Emperor Yao's expression grew more solemn: "Can we still find him?"
"We can."
Sun Wukong nodded and then smiled, "I know where he is. Let's just observe for now."
He noticed that this Un-dead did not come directly for him but seemed more interested in the Three Realms. Sun Wukong was curious about his intentions.
