Chapter 93: Diana

"Yes" he said calmly after the

The world dissolved into silver.

Xavier felt weight vanish, the earth beneath his feet pulled away as though he were drifting through a vast, endless ocean of light. His skin tingled, his veins thrummed with a rhythm that wasn't his own — it was the heartbeat of the moon itself.

Ding—

Xavier's lips curled into a slow grin. "Indestructible, huh? Now that's my kind of perk."

The light coalesced. His feet found ground again — though not stone, not soil. He stood upon a surface of glass-like silver, smooth and radiant, stretching endlessly. Above him, the night sky was closer, sharper, as if every star leaned in to witness. And at the heart of it, the full moon burned brighter than ever, pouring its essence into a palace of white marble and silver crystal.

The palace itself defied description. Towers carved from moonlight rose into the sky, arches flowing like frozen streams of silver. Every step shimmered, every column gleamed, every surface reflected not just light, but divinity.

And at its center, on a throne carved from lunar stone and veiled in gentle silver glow — she waited.

The Moon Goddess.

She was breathtaking. White hair cascaded like a river of starlight down her shoulders, reaching her waist, each strand shimmering as if spun from moonbeams. Her skin glowed pale, radiant, flawless, like ivory kissed by divine hands. Her eyes were silver pools, deep and endless, at once soft and commanding.

Her body was draped in a gown of flowing silks that clung to her curves, modest yet impossibly alluring — every movement teased the outline of her bust, the subtle sway of her hips. She looked at him not with distant detachment, but with warmth — warmth that carried the weight of eternity.

"Xavier…" her voice rang, sweet and melodic, echoing across the vast palace. "You've come."

Xavier tilted his head, studying her with open amusement. "Came? More like dragged. Your system prompt wasn't really giving me much of a choice."

Her lips curved in the faintest smile, one that glowed like moonlight breaking clouds. "And yet you accepted."

He chuckled, taking a slow step forward. "Curiosity kills the cat, doesn't it? I wanted to see what kind of woman thinks she can claim me in her domain."

Her silver eyes softened, though a spark of mischief flickered within. "You are bold to speak so in the presence of a goddess."

"Bold," Xavier countered smoothly, "or just honest? After all, you've been watching. You know exactly what kind of man I am."

She did not deny it. Her gaze lingered, sweeping over him in a way that made the divine chamber itself feel warmer. "Indeed. You are unlike any mortal. Your essence… your bond with the moon… it exceeds even my expectations."

Xavier grinned. "Then it looks like I'm exceeding in all the right ways."

The goddess blinked — a faint blush coloring her pale cheeks, an expression so human it caught him off guard. But she recovered quickly, her voice regaining its ethereal calm. "You stand where no mortal has stood. Here, beneath the moon's fullest grace, you are untouchable. No harm may reach you, not even from the gods themselves."

Xavier smirked, folding his arms across his chest. "Indestructible, untouchable, immune to all attacks… sounds like you're stacking the deck in my favor. Trying to impress me?"

Her lips parted, then curved upward again. "If I wished to impress you, Xavier, I would not need such boons. My presence alone should suffice."

He laughed softly. "Confident, aren't you?"

The goddess leaned forward slightly on her throne, the silken fabric of her gown shifting, revealing just a hint more of her cleavage as though the moon itself was conspiring to tempt him. "Confidence comes naturally when one is eternal."

"Eternal and curious, apparently," Xavier teased, his grin sharpening. "You didn't summon me here just to sit pretty, did you? What do you really want from me?"

Her silver eyes gleamed like molten moonlight. For a moment, the palace seemed to hold its breath. Then she rose from her throne, her gown flowing around her like liquid starlight, every step radiating grace.

"I summoned you," she said softly, her voice carrying weight that pressed against his chest, "because the moon has chosen you. And because…" She paused, her gaze locking with his, "I wished to meet the man bold enough to become my husband."

Xavier raised a brow, chuckling low. "Straight to the proposal, huh? At least buy me dinner first."

The goddess actually laughed — soft, melodic, but real. A sound that made the palace shimmer brighter. "You are incorrigible."

"And you," Xavier said, stepping closer, his grin daring, "are blushing."

Her hand instinctively brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, her composure cracking for just a breath. Then she met his gaze, silver fire dancing in her eyes. "Perhaps. But you will learn… even the moon can blush for the right man."

For a moment, they stood close — mortal and goddess, teasing and testing, silver glow binding them like a promise not yet spoken.

The Moon Goddess — Diana — stood before him, her white hair glowing under her own radiance, silver eyes fixed on him with a depth that could drown armies. Yet the silence stretched only until she parted her lips.

"I don't know if you realize this, Xavier," she began softly, her voice smooth as moonlight, "but Lady Lily is the recent guardian of this galaxy. Velmora — your world — falls under her care."

Xavier's brows furrowed, his smirk fading into a half-frown. "You know Lily?"

"Of course." Diana's lips curved faintly. "It was she who encouraged this meeting. In fact…" she tilted her head, her hair sliding like starlit silk over her shoulder, "she challenged me. Tempted me, even, to see what sort of man she has chosen. To see whether you were worthy."

Xavier blinked — then barked out a laugh, low and dangerous. "That woman…" He shook his head, lips curling into a wolfish smile. "Lily, I didn't expect you'd be so eager as to challenge goddesses just to stuff my harem."

Her voice slid into his mind, velvet-smooth, teasing as always:

Anything for you, Xavier. And besides… with Diana's essence added to yours — and a little more — you'll have enough to finally meet me.

His heart skipped. That voice — rich, sultry, endlessly tempting — brought her image back into his mind: Lily, Lust Incarnate, with her perfect curves, her hungry smile, her voice that always dripped like honey and fire both.

He chuckled aloud, answering in thought: So you're playing matchmaker now?

Not forcing, Lily giggled, the sound curling warmly through his skull. After all the commotion you've stirred with your titles and achievements, Diana noticed you. She's been watching you for some time. I merely… gave her a nudge. Once she knew you were tied to me — a high-tiered goddess — she didn't waste any more time. Your meeting with her nun was the perfect opportunity to pull the strings.

Xavier grinned, excitement flashing in his eyes. He turned his gaze back to Diana, studying the goddess before him with new light. Interesting… so her name is Diana.

"Yes," Lily's voice purred in his mind. "And your harem points? A little over seventy thousand now. It's only a matter of time before you meet me in the flesh."

His grin widened, sharp and hungry, a wave of raw excitement surging through him. Lily's figure — flawless, dangerous, divine — replayed in his thoughts. He hadn't forgotten a single curve of her body, the way her presence alone could melt him. "Yes…" he muttered aloud, the grin curling his lips. "I'm excited."

His voice dropped into teasing reverence. "Lily… you might just kill me when we meet."

Her laugh rang in his mind, throaty and delicious. That's the plan.

But Xavier wasn't done. His smirk tilted. Tell me, Lily. This galaxy… is it something you were born with? Does its age match yours — fifty?

There was a pause, her laughter softening into something more thoughtful. No, my love. This galaxy existed long before me. I inherited it only after the death of its former guardian. When I was chosen, the bond became mine.

Xavier's grin faded into something sharper — not lust, but a kind of respect. "So, not born with it… but claimed." He nodded, a small flame of understanding sparking in his chest. "That… sounds just like you."

Claiming is what I do best, Lily teased back.

He chuckled aloud, shaking his head. Then his gaze shifted, finally, back to the goddess standing before him in shimmering white. Diana. The Moon incarnate. Her expression was calm, but her eyes glowed with intrigue, her cheeks faintly pink as though she somehow sensed Lily's voice in his head.

He let silence hang for a heartbeat, then let his smirk return, crooked and wicked. "So," he drawled, taking a step closer, "I didn't know your name was Diana."
