The Ultimate Versatile Soldier King

Chapter 293: Pointing at the Mulberry Tree to Scold the Locust

"Alright, it's just a mistake, take this and wipe your mouth!" Li Bin, feeling a bit sympathetic, handed a napkin to the big guy and then sat back down to continue joking around with the fiery woman. Meanwhile, she was completely obedient to Li Bin, without a hint of defiance.

Under the server's persuasion, the other customers left the small restaurant one by one, with angry looks on their faces. Their good mood spoiled, no one could be happy about it.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." As each person walked out, the owner bowed deeply and apologized.

"Sir, I'm sorry..." Xiao Xia approached Luo Chao and whispered as he ate voraciously.

Her voice was shaky, perhaps out of fear or reluctance, but before she could finish, Luo Chao interrupted her.

"You don't need to say anything, I know, I'm leaving now!" Luo Chao smiled at Xiao Xia and then got up to leave. After a couple of steps, he stopped, took out a hundred-yuan bill from his pocket, and handed it to Xiao Xia. "Is this enough for the meal?"

"No, sir, the owner said your meal is on us, as an apology!" Xiao Xia hurriedly declined.

"I've already eaten, so I should pay! When you eat at a street stall and get bitten by a mad dog, you can't just not pay, right?" Luo Chao glanced at Li Bin and said to Xiao Xia, then placed the hundred-yuan bill on the table and walked out briskly.

"I'm sorry, under the eaves, one must lower their head, I hope you can understand!" As Luo Chao passed by, the owner bowed ninety degrees to him.

"Boss, don't do that, I can't bear it, I understand, no need to explain!" Luo Chao supported the owner with both hands and said softly, then turned around and walked outside.

"Wait!" Just as Luo Chao was about to step out the door, a lazy voice reached his ears, stopping him in his tracks.

"Is something the matter?" Luo Chao turned his head and looked at Li Bin, who was slowly standing up, with a slight frown and asked.

"What did you just say? Say it again!" Li Bin looked at Luo Chao with eyes full of mockery.

"I didn't say anything just now? You must have misheard, Young Master Li, and even if I did say something, it doesn't seem to concern you, does it?" Luo Chao looked directly into Li Bin's eyes and responded confrontationally.

"Doesn't concern me? You said you got bitten by a dog, didn't you? Is that a metaphor, or are you implying something? I'm quite interested!" Li Bin's eyes flashed with coldness as he stared at Luo Chao and said coldly.

"If that's how Young Master Li wants to understand it, then so be it!" Luo Chao shrugged, speaking fearlessly.

"Is that so? Get him crippled!" Li Bin sneered, then suddenly let out a sinister laugh and shouted to the two big guys beside him.

"Whoosh!" As soon as Luo Chao finished speaking, he bolted, instantly disappearing into the crowd. By the time the two big guys reached the door, Luo Chao was already out of sight.

"Young master, he got away!" One of the big guys looked out the door, couldn't find Luo Chao, and reported back to Li Bin.

"Snap, snap, useless! Can't even catch a snot-nosed kid, what good are you?" Li Bin, furious, slapped each of the big guys and scolded them.

"Don't do this..." The fiery woman wrapped her arms around one of Li Bin's arms coquettishly. She had a bit of charm to start with, otherwise, Li Bin wouldn't have been interested. Now, wearing a pair of short denim shorts up to her thighs and a low-cut tank top, her ample chest was almost spilling out, full of allure. Her voice was seductive, making anyone who heard it feel weak.

"Slap!" Li Bin showed no interest in the fiery woman's seduction, directly pushing her away and slapping her.

"Cheap woman, aside from being a man's plaything and craving money from men, what else do you know? Hmph!" He finished speaking and ignored the fiery woman, heading straight for the door.

"This store won't be opening anymore!" When he reached the door, Li Bin paused and said to the two big guys.

"Young Master Li, you can't do this..." The owner cried out, trying to chase after Li Bin, but was blocked by the two big guys.

Inside the store, no one noticed that the fiery woman slapped by Li Bin had a face that was no longer seductive, but cold and distant, a stark contrast to her earlier coquettishness, like two extremes. She watched in cold silence as Li Bin disappeared, but just for a moment, before reverting to her charming self and walking out the door.

As she passed by the two big guys, a dangerous glint flashed in her eyes, unnoticed by anyone.

"Hey, send some people over to smash up this place for me!" One of the big guys took out his phone, dialed a number, and shouted.

Ten minutes later, a dozen young guys rushed into the small restaurant, and the sound of smashing began, followed by wailing and crying.

"Huff, huff..." In a dark corner, Luo Chao leaned against the wall, gasping for air, saliva dripping to the ground.

"To hell with your eighteen generations of female ancestors!" Once he caught his breath a bit, Luo Chao started cursing loudly, frightening a little girl passing by, who stumbled away as if for her life. Watching her flee, Luo Chao could only chuckle wryly.

After escaping the restaurant, Luo Chao dashed into the crowd with amazing speed, using all his strength to run wildly. He aimed for crowded places to obscure Li Bin's men, ignoring those behind him as he zigzagged through streets and alleys. Only after several blocks, reaching a dim corner, did Luo Chao dare to stop.

Glancing back to ensure no one was pursuing, he finally relaxed and gasped for air. However, had Luo Chao known that Li Bin's group hadn't actually chased him, he might have been furious enough to vomit blood.

Wiping the sweat from his forehead, Luo Chao exited the alley and retraced his steps. Along the street, he noticed a small shop selling gold panning tools and entered without much thought.

"Hello, anything I can help you with?" As Luo Chao entered, a dark-skinned owner, not quite looking like a Huaxia native, greeted him with a smile.

"You're not a Huaxia native?" Luo Chao casually asked, noticing the shop owner didn't resemble a Huaxia person.

"You're sharp! Indeed, I'm not from Huaxia. I'm from India, just trying to make a living here!" The shop owner responded with a smile after Luo Chao's inquiry.
