Mysterious Assistant of the Washed-Up Queen

Chapter 257: Li Guang's Encounter Yang Lin's Envy_3

"But I... I haven't changed my clothes..." Li Guang glanced at his attire. It was the same extremely casual outfit he usually wore. Because he had arrived so early, he had only washed and quickly blow-dried his hair, leaving it limp and without any styling. Although he hadn't debuted yet, they were all young. Whether they had a significant other or not, who wasn't a little image-conscious?

"What's the big deal?" Chu Tian said. "The company has makeup artists and costumes. You can just pick something out when the time comes."

Seeing there was no changing Chu Tian's mind, Li Guang resigned himself to it. His heart, which had just begun to relax, suddenly tensed up again.

After calming Li Guang down, Chu Tian didn't pay him any more mind and started arranging the camera positions for the recording crew.

Li Guang just watched, swallowing nervously from time to time, visibly shivering.

"Li Guang, what are you looking at? Get ready to start!" Chu Tian called out.

"Ah? Ah! Oh..." Li Guang glanced at Chu Tian in panic, then hurriedly grabbed the lyric sheet and stood in front of the microphone.

"Throw the lyric sheet away," Chu Tian instructed. "Are you going to hold it on stage?"

Already incredibly nervous, Li Guang's mind went blank. His only support, the lyric sheet, was gone; his thoughts were a complete void.

"What are you spacing out for? Get on beat!" Chu Tian urged.

Chu Tian naturally knew Li Guang was nervous, but this was a hurdle he had to overcome sooner or later. Right now, Chu Tian was simply guiding him through it.

At first, Li Guang was indeed distracted. But after Chu Tian reprimanded him a few times, he finally managed to pull all his focus back and began to concentrate seriously on his singing.

As the familiar feeling returned, his state of mind became increasingly relaxed. Eventually, he was completely immersed in the song, seemingly forgetting about the cameras operating around him.

The camera crew, having received their instructions earlier, stood silently behind him, doing their best to minimize their presence.

"Very good," Chu Tian said. "Let's do it again, this time from the beginning. The expressions and body language you added in the middle were excellent. You can improvise this time."

After saying this, Chu Tian gestured to the camera crew. They understood and started their cameras. Those whose cameras were still on waved a hand in front of the lens as a makeshift clapperboard, to make post-production editing easier.

Indeed, once the distractions were removed, Li Guang quickly got into the zone. He immersed himself in the song from beginning to end, completely unaware of his surroundings. He didn't even notice when a camera occasionally swung past his face.

Though his eyes were bright, it was as if he wasn't looking at anything in front of him. This was because Li Guang's gaze was unfocused, his mind filled with vivid images from the story of a hero battling a dragon.

When the song ended, Chu Tian couldn't help but smile and applaud. "Not bad, perfect!"

The song wasn't flawless, but relatively speaking, Li Guang's performance was exceptionally good—or at least, more than sufficient for the current needs.

"Alright, you can practice a bit more on your own," Chu Tian said. With that, he waved to the camera crew, called out, "That's a wrap!" and then left with his team.

"Huh? He's leaving just like that? Did they even record that?" Li Guang asked, still dazed.

Yang Lin, who had been watching the whole time, said with a mix of envy and speechlessness, "They recorded everything. You sang really well."

"I did? I wasn't paying attention to anything just now. It felt like I was completely immersed," Li Guang replied.

Hearing this, Yang Lin grew even more envious. "That's amazing. You must be what people call a genius."

"Not at all, not at all..." Li Guang demurred.

While they were exchanging compliments, Chu Tian was already leading his team back to Unlimited Entertainment to start post-production.
