Longevity Martial Arts: Grinding Experience in the Chaotic World

Chapter 338: Rescuing Lei Ying in the Ancient Mining Area

After finishing his Cultivation Technique, Gu Sheng slowly opened his eyes and smiled slightly at the golden fingers in the sky. He knew this was the result of his cultivation, a confirmation of his strength. As his mind willed, the golden fingers slowly dissipated in the sky.

At this moment, Gu Sheng felt as if he was one with the universe. His physical body became stronger and more resilient.

After refining all the heavenly treasures at the Yaochi Holy Land, Gu Sheng left this cultivation Holy Land. His destination was the Northern Territory, that vast and mysterious land always served as his treasure trove of resources.

The Northern Territory, home of the Taichu Ancient Mine, was desolate and mysterious. As Gu Sheng walked on this land, he saw barren rocks everywhere, with a few Immortal Herbs stubbornly sprouting, standing out prominently in the desolation.

"This is the Northern Territory," Gu Sheng muttered, his Divine Thought surging out like a tide, covering a radius of several dozen miles. Here, his Divine Thought acted like an invisible eye, clearly perceiving everything around.

Suddenly, his Divine Thought captured the scene of a group of people besieging a woman on the street. Gu Sheng frowned, a bad premonition rising in his heart. He decided to take a closer look, only to discover that one of the besieged women was someone he knew—Lei Ying.

"Lei Ying, why is she here?" Gu Sheng pondered, but seeing Lei Ying in trouble, he couldn't afford to think more, and in a flash, he dashed over.

"Stop!" Gu Sheng shouted, his golden body shimmering with dazzling light, slicing through the sky like a golden lightning, and instantly appeared at the center of the battlefield.

"Who are you? How dare you meddle in our affairs!" a bandit growled fiercely.

"I'm your worst nightmare!" Gu Sheng sneered, activating his Cultivation Technique, golden waves surged continuously, his aura was overwhelming. His body seemed cloaked in gold light, akin to a War God descending onto the world.

"Attack, kill him!" The bandit leader ordered, and a dozen bandits, wielding miscellaneous weapons, lunged at Gu Sheng.

Gu Sheng sneered, wielding the Gale Nine Swords, sword light flashed, and several bandits fell, unable to rise. His figure flitted through the battlefield like a specter, each strike claiming an enemy's life.

"Ah!" a bandit screamed, his chest pierced by Gu Sheng's palm, the golden hand exuding a sharp aura.

In the blink of an eye, all the bandits were lying motionless on the ground. Gu Sheng walked to Lei Ying's side, asking with concern, "Are you alright?"

Lei Ying looked at Gu Sheng, a flicker of gratitude in her eyes: "Thank you, big brother."

"Why are you here?" Gu Sheng asked.

"I came here searching for a rare Spirit Grass, but unexpectedly encountered these bandits," Lei Ying explained.

Gu Sheng nodded, not asking further. He turned to look at the fallen bandits, finding they had quite a few Spirit Stones and Spiritual Medicine on them. An idea struck him, and he collected all these spoils.

"These are yours now." Gu Sheng handed part of the Spirit Stones and Spiritual Medicine to Lei Ying.

Lei Ying took the Spirit Stones and Spiritual Medicine, looking gratefully at Gu Sheng: "Thank you, big brother."

Gu Sheng shook his head: "It was just a small effort. By the way, what does the Spirit Grass you are looking for look like? Maybe I can help you find it."

"Really? Thank you so much!" Lei Ying's eyes lit up, and she quickly described the Spirit Grass's characteristics to Gu Sheng.

The two set out together in the Taichu Ancient Mine, searching for that rare Spirit Grass. Despite encountering many dangers along the way, with Gu Sheng's help, they eventually found the Spirit Grass.

"Great, I finally found it!" Lei Ying exclaimed excitedly, holding the Spirit Grass, tears of joy in her eyes.

"Is this the Forget Sorrow Grass?" Gu Sheng asked curiously.

"Yes, this is the Forget Sorrow Grass." Lei Ying nodded, "This Spirit Grass can heal mental wounds, which is very important to me."

Seeing Lei Ying's joyful face, Gu Sheng felt a sense of relief too. He didn't tell Lei Ying that this Spirit Grass would also greatly benefit his cultivation. But since Lei Ying needed it to heal mental wounds, he wouldn't take it from her.

"Let's go back." Gu Sheng said.

Leaving the Taichu Ancient Mine, Gu Sheng and Lei Ying returned to a town in the Northern Territory. The streets were bustling with people; lively and vibrant, as the two walked through, they seemed like two people from different worlds, one stable as a mountain, the other lively as water.

"Big brother, where are we going?" Lei Ying asked curiously, her eyes gleaming with curiosity and anticipation for the unknown world.

Gu Sheng smiled slightly, pointing to a grand gambling stone house ahead: "Let's go take a look there."

Following Gu Sheng's finger, Lei Ying saw a gambling stone house called "Tulip" standing beside the street, with bustling business at its entrance.

They walked into the gambling stone house, greeted by a lively atmosphere. Gamblers sat around various gambling stone stalls, the sounds of discussions and shouts formed a unique symphony.

"Welcome!" the gambling stone house manager greeted them warmly, recognizing Gu Sheng, knowing him as a famous figure in the Northern Territory's gambling stone world, "Young Master Gu, long time no see, are you here to showcase your skills today?"

Gu Sheng nodded, his gaze swept over the rough stones on the stalls, each one containing unknown possibilities, which excited him. He turned to Lei Ying and said, "Want to watch me gamble?"
