Gradually opening his eyes, Qi Xiu saw a captivating flash of light disappear within them as he successfully cultivated the Yama Golden Body.
Now, with but a thought, he possessed the Divine Marvel Power to capture souls.
As long as a soul's strength was inferior to his own, with one grasp, the opponent's soul would immediately be forced out of their body, even if they were thousands of steps away.
And the more souls the Yama Golden Body subjugated, particularly those of higher realms, the more terrifying this power would become.
At advanced stages, a mere thought could capture all the souls within tens, hundreds, or even thousands of miles, which was utterly horrifying.
However, Qi Xiu, who had just cultivated the Yama Golden Body, was still very far from such a realm.
As his mind returned and took control of his physical body, Qi Xiu slowly raised his hand and formed a Daoist Incantation; the surrounding invisible colorful force abruptly dissipated.
That was the power of the Hunyuan Palace.
The cultivation of Yama's Golden Chapter had taken him a full six months.
Once cultivators reached a high realm, their Dharma Gates would become vast and complex, with a single retreat often lasting years, or even decades.
Luckily, he had the Hunyuan Palace at his disposal, where its Cosmic Light Flow Speed accelerated time up to ten times the normal rate.
Half a year inside the Hunyuan Palace was but eighteen days in the outside world, roughly half a month.
As soon as his retreat concluded, Qi Xiu opened the protective formation and saw countless streaks of thunderbolts, like fine drizzle, swarming towards him, continuously pouring into his room.
These were the secret Thunder Sound Talismans of the Shenxiao Sect.
Seeing so many Thunder Sound Talismans, Qi Xiu's eyes narrowed slightly, and his heart tensed.
Had something gone wrong?
Sweeping his sleeve to gather the Thunder Sound Talismans, which were darting around the room like falcons, Qi Xiu opened them one by one.
A minor portion of these talismans came from his master, Daoist Yunxiong; Daoist Yunming from the Dark Courier Station; and some Yun-generation elders from the sect.
The messages were mostly inquiries and concerns.
However, the vast majority came from one person: his second senior sister, Nangong Qingqiu.
As his gaze swept across the Thunder Sound Talismans, Qi Xiu's eyebrows slowly knitted together.
Seventy-three Thunder Sound Talismans, almost all with roughly the same content.
The messages urgently stated: *Wei Wujie is in danger. See this message and rescue quickly!*
But the other details were contaminated by an unknown force and were indecipherable. Even the exact location couldn't be shown.
Transforming into a streak of lightning surging with immense speed, Qi Xiu immediately sought out Preceptor Yunming, who was in charge of the Dark Courier Station.
"Is Wei in trouble?"
Daoist Yunming had a very good relationship with Daoist Yunxiong and knew a lot about his chief disciple, Wei Wujie.
Forcing open his bleary, drunken eyes, Daoist Yunming received the Thunder Sound Talisman from Qi Xiu. He scanned it with his gaze, and a streak of lightning flashed through the void.
The contaminated portion of the message on the talisman was instantly revealed.
Upon seeing this content, Daoist Yunming's brows furrowed. "Hundred Coffin Mountain? Why would he go there? This kid, truly as wild as a monkey, dares to scurry everywhere."
"Preceptor, do you know this place?" Qi Xiu's expression shifted slightly as he took back the Thunder Sound Talisman.
Nangong Qingqiu had repeatedly mentioned in her messages that Wei Wujie was surrounded at Hundred Coffin Mountain, but he had never heard of this place.
He knew the map of Dianchuan Province like the back of his hand.
It's certain that this place is not in Dianchuan. At least, not within the commonly recognized boundaries of Dianchuan.
"That's not an ordinary realm of the living," Daoist Yunming explained, "but a Yellow Springs Path, concealed at the intersection of life and death. That place is very dangerous, with numerous strange entities from the netherworld wandering there all year round. Moreover, the laws of heaven and earth there are extremely chaotic. The Dao Body Realm cannot enter; only the Primordial Spirit Realm can barely make it in. For Wei to be trapped in there is indeed troublesome."
After revealing the secrets of Hundred Coffin Mountain, Preceptor Yunming pondered for a moment. "Here's what we'll do," he said. "You go ahead and check the situation first. Do not rush in recklessly. I'll report this to the sect to see if there's a proper rescue method."
Raising his hand, a wisp of blue lightning shot out and landed in Qi Xiu's palm, containing the coordinates for Hundred Coffin Mountain.
"Alright!" Qi Xiu agreed immediately. He turned and transformed into a streak of lightning, thunder resounding with a roar as he swept up immense thunder energy. The powerful and turbulent noise even caused many disciples in the Dark Courier Station to look up curiously.
"This kid... truly values loyalty and righteousness."
Watching the vast, brilliant thundercloud stretching for hundreds of miles, Preceptor Yunming shook his head gently. "Looking at this display, I bet he didn't hear a word of what I just said."
The sky looked as if torn apart by the Divine Weapon of an ancient demon god, and a blurry figure moved amidst the turbulent clouds with unmatched might.
Majestic lightning swirled around this shadow, reminiscent of the wrath of deities, as it sped through the high sky, tearing open the gloomy atmosphere along with time and space.
Surrounding it were endless, thick, and heavy black clouds, sprawling for hundreds of miles.
They seemed to come alive, rolling and swelling, following the figure's movements.
Each cloud mass appeared to be manipulated by an invisible, colossal force, growing darker and more profound beneath the encompassing lightning.
As the black clouds passed, the thunder roared!
The palpable pressure of the thunderous might caused many Demonic Evil Cultivators who sensed this heavenly fury to tremble, cold sweat spontaneously erupting from their pores.
"Where is this little Thunder Cultivator from, so arrogant?" one sneered.
Just as Qi Xiu was single-mindedly following the coordinates provided by Daoist Yunming, rushing toward Hundred Coffin Mountain, inevitably, a couple of short-sighted individuals decided to make their presence known.
Dense demonic energy surged upward like a tornado, and three Blood-Stained Realm Great Demons rose into the air with eerie laughter.
They could tell that Qi Xiu, riding the lightning, was obviously in a hurry.
But the more urgent he appeared, the more they wanted to stop him. After all, hadn't they traveled all this way to Dianchuan Province specifically to antagonize these humans, whom they viewed as little more than cattle?
The auras of these three demons were robust, their demonic energy piercing the sky, indicating they were Old Demons beyond the Sixfold Bloodshade.
One demon was riddled with hollows, pink worms crawling in and out, a sight that made one's scalp tingle. Yet, this demon possessed an exquisitely beautiful human face, an unsettling combination of hideousness and beauty that amplified the horror.
Another appeared as a withered old man with sickly green skin, freakishly long hands, and curved nails. Numerous writhing, vine-like tendrils sprouted from his back, each hung with a human head that seemed alive, constantly emitting painful, excruciating screams.
The last demon was a suit of headless armor, wielding a rust-stained, nicked, and warped long saber. Black mist continuously seeped from the armor's joints, coalescing into faces that were variously grimacing, raging, or manic—a truly eerie sight.
"What's the rush? Stay and chat with us," the old Vine Demon cackled, blocking Qi Xiu's path. He raised his hands, and countless entangling vines surged out, entering the void and eerily weaving through unknown crevices of the Cosmic Bi.
Anyone pierced by these vines would immediately have countless more sprout from within their body, devouring flesh and absorbing Cultivation. They were like maggots burrowing into bone, incredibly difficult to deal with.
"Seeking death!"
Qi Xiu's eyes were like deep, tranquil abysses. He waved his large sleeve, and the Universe in the Sleeve directly engulfed the old Vine Demon, stuffing it inside.
The remaining two demons sharply sensed a vast and ancient force suddenly descend. The next second, before their very eyes, the Vine Demon vanished into thin air, without even a chance to resist.
"How can this be…" one of the demons stammered.
A sense of crisis arose in their hearts. Before the two demons could even react, they saw the young Daoist they had blocked fling out a handful of Talisman Scripts with a sweep of his sleeve.
In the next instant, thirty entirely crimson sword gourds, lustrous as glazed crystal, explosively emerged in the void.
Great Sun Purple Dawn Sword Light!
In that moment, the colors of the world seemed to be stripped away; all light and darkness coalesced within those thirty vast and terrifying Great Sun Purple Dawn Sword Lights.
Wherever this power reached, the void seemed unable to bear its weight and exceedingly sharp essence, leaving behind unhealable rifts as the Sword Lights passed. From these rifts poured an even darker, more silent, and more unknown world. The entire void became distorted beyond recognition after the eruption of the extreme oppressive force and dreadful aura from the thirty Sword Lights.
As the direct recipient of this attack, the faces emanating from the headless armor all contorted in horror.
BOOM—
The intense brilliance of the Sword Lights streaked by. The Great Sun Purple Dawn Sword Light invaded its physical body and drained the Old Demon's Dao Blood almost instantly, causing it to die on the spot!
Run! the beautiful-faced demon thought in terror. One dead, one vanished!
The strength Qi Xiu displayed in this confrontation had far exceeded the beautiful-faced Old Demon's imagination.
He's only at the Blood-Stained Double Realm, how can he possess such terrifying power?
Without a second thought, the beautiful-faced Old Demon turned to flee, fearing that a moment's hesitation would have him meeting the same fate as his two companions.
However, in the instant the beautiful-faced Old Demon turned, thousands of rays of golden light suddenly erupted behind Qi Xiu. A True Dragon phantom with furious eyes appeared, its tremendous and awe-inspiring Dragon Power transforming into a tangible shockwave that blasted in all directions!
"Capture him!" Qi Xiu commanded, pointing at the fleeing demon. The revived Dragon Binding Rope became a streak of golden light that shot forth instantly.
In the blink of an eye, it tightly bound the beautiful-faced Old Demon.
With a lift of his hand, Qi Xiu recalled the Dragon Binding Rope, drawing the bound, beautiful-faced Old Demon to him. He emotionlessly placed his hand atop his head.
His palm suddenly transformed, swirling with a palette of flowing colors.
Star Absorption Skill!
Under the abyss-like, surging pull from his palm, the beautiful-faced Old Demon's body shriveled bit by bit amidst his pitiful screams and shrieks.
After absorbing the Old Demon's Cultivation, Qi Xiu raised his hand to capture his soul as well, throwing it into the Ancestral Aperture between his brows. It became another minion prostrating and bowing in Yama's Palace.
In the blink of an eye, the three Sixfold Bloodshade Great Demons were caught in one fell swoop.
At this moment, the Demonic Evil Cultivators lurking nearby instinctively hid themselves, deeply afraid of attracting the attention of this extremely terrifying god of death.
Too frightening! Who exactly is this Daoist? Killing Blood-Stained Realm cultivators is as easy for him as slaughtering chickens and dogs! the trembling Demonic Evil Cultivators hiding away wondered in horror.
In truth, Qi Xiu's real power had always been this terrifying. Ever since he began cultivating, he had always maintained a special habit: concealing his skill!
No matter the time or the enemy, he always kept some trump cards hidden, prepared for any possible contingency, which made his actual strength seem less formidable than it was.
But this time, he was anxious to reach Hundred Coffin Mountain, his mindset far from ordinary. These three short-sighted Old Demons had directly run into the muzzle of his gun.
Annoyed and impatient, Qi Xiu had no intention of hiding his skill; he struck with the speed of lightning, sweeping all before him like a whirlwind.
And this also indirectly demonstrated that with his current level of Cultivation and methods, few below the Dao Body Realm could match him!
