Aaron wanted a peaceful life, and to achieve this, he had to go through many troubles. He always wondered why he had to go through such situations in order to have a peaceful life.
It would be nice if everyone thought about themselves and stopped bothering others, but that was never the way of life.
People want control. Everyone does.
They want to control resources. They want to control kingdoms. They want to control others, too, but they never accept being controlled. No one does.
So, people would try to take control of others before others can get a chance to do so.
Aaron was in a similar situation.
Once he returned alive from the ruins, the number of interested parties in him increased rapidly. He could sense that many people were spying on him, recording everything he did.
He thought that would be gone once he returned home, but he was wrong. The number only increased.
If any of his academy batchmates were in his position, they wouldn't have sensed anything, but to Aaron, with his high perception value, it was as if they were blatantly telling him about their actions.
The worst part was that he couldn't do anything about that. He can't even react to their presence, as someone as weak as him shouldn't have sensed them at all.
So after spending some time with his parents, he decided to return to the Dusk Academy. He couldn't stay lazy for a long time if he wanted to survive for long in a world like this.
Additionally, he hoped that returning to the academy would reduce the spying, as the Academy may not allow others to spy on him. Additionally, he was good friends with the Vice-Headmistress, which would have prevented any spying while he was inside the academy.
When he boarded the train, he sensed the reactions of those spies. They all left him alone.
He thought that he was free, no more issues. He could freely level up and increase his rank quickly, and reach Rank-7 as soon as possible. At that rank, the number of people who could endanger him is very low.
So, he believed that from now on, both he and his family would be safe, but he was wrong. There was someone who wanted to try their luck one last time.

A day later....
A few kilometres away from the train's position, one could see a lot of people converging on the railway track. It can be seen that they were working on something, something that they shouldn't have been doing.
It can be concluded that if anyone lays their eyes on what they were doing at the moment, or even hears what they were speaking about with each other.
"Is it ready?" one of the masked men asked.
The entire group of thirty are wearing masks. They are all dark in colour, covering all their body, leaving nothing exposed, not even their hair.
Everyone looked the same, but one person had a red arrow mark on the forehead part of the mask, which differentiated him from the others.
It can be understood that this person was their leader.
"Yes, leader. It's almost done", the subordinate answered.
"Make it quick. The train is about to arrive. It would be here in less than fifteen minutes", the leader spoke and left the area to speak with others.
The subordinate who was working on the tracks nodded, but he quickly saw that the leader paid him no more attention. This made the subordinate clinch his fists, but he stopped there and did nothing more that could have caused a scene.
He knew clearly that he had no real power in the group. So, he kept quiet and turned his full attention to completing his work, which was the right idea. If he acted any other way, there are consequences, which were clearly established long ago.
Five minutes later, the work was done, and the subordinate went to inform the leader.
"Leader, the work was done. Everything was ready, we only needed to wait for the train to come", the subordinate spoke.
The leader nodded and said nothing more. So, the subordinate went to the back of the group as his work was done for the day. Whatever work remains, that was not his concern.
A few minutes later, the leader walked over to the group, "Our target approaches. Move to your positions now", he barked out the orders.

The train drivers would have no pressure to actually drive trains or watch out for other trains, unlike road vehicles, which could just enter your lane and cause a crash.
Even though that is often the case, they still experience pressure in other areas. The pro of having a dedicated line, which eliminates others from entering their lane, would turn into a huge problem if it were damaged.
The train would derail, and the death toll could be very high, especially in certain areas more than others. If the accident happens near a settlement, help could come swiftly before monsters appear.
Of course, if the train was not derailed or damaged, then even if it were stranded, the chances of danger would be low, as these trains are built to stand against attacks from the monsters.
Then the authorities would have enough time to save the people. So, their job was very important. They have to be on constant watch.
It was the same for the ones on the train to Dusk City. They kept watch, without any irregularities, as they knew what could happen if anything irregular appeared.
"What is that?" one of the drivers spoke.
To keep away from any accidents, there would be multiple drivers. It is so that nothing could be missed.
The other two watched the spot that the first one was pointing at. They frowned, looking at the spot, but couldn't determine what it was.
All of a sudden the third one shouted, "STOP THE TRAIN. NOW".
The first one immediately pulled the brake without any questions. It is how it works. If there was danger, asking questions would land them in danger. If there was none and it was a mistake, no loss.
Creek! Creek!
The train came to a sudden stop. The passengers inside the train were confused by the fact that the train stopped in here, out in the middle of nowhere. They couldn't understand the reason behind that.
They clearly left the previous station no more than ten or fifteen minutes ago. So, there shouldn't be any stop at this moment.
The passengers began to move from their seats to find out why the train had come to a stop. It was then that they heard a huge, booming sound twice.
Boom! Boom!
Hearing those sounds filled the people inside with fear. They understood why the train stopped. They are in danger at the moment.
