THUMP!

Zankoku slammed the decapitated head of the bloodbands leader on Ames's table.

"I've fulfilled your command my liege. Those rebels are all taken care of." He bowed respectfully, reporting to Ames.

Ames smiled in satisfaction. "Thank you for your hard work Zankoku. Also, thank you all." Ames turned towards Akari and the others standing behind. Only Shatun was missing, busy devouring the food he hunted.

"I've killed 100 of them alone my liege." Haruto hurriedly spoke out, stealing glances at Zankoku. Informing him that he had fulfilled his mission.

Ames nodded at him with a satisfactory smile, while Zankoku smirked, shaking his head at Haruto's innocence.

"He's the assisatnat to the bloodlbands leader. He says he has information regarding Tiger and the inner zone." Lamia came forward with the assistant beside her, who was shaking in fear.

"What is your name?" Ames asked.

"I-I'm Bone, my lord." He quivered.

"You know everything about the inner zone and also about the leaders of your gang?"

"Y-yes my lord. I can tell y-you anything. I used to work in the finance section of the Bloodbands in the inner zone."

Ames's brows creased up, it was quite intriguing as he never expected to meet someone from within the inner zone, who was also a member of one of the four giants.

"How can I be sure that whatever you say will be the truth? You can speak any nonsense and save your life here. I can even extract all the information from your dead body. So tell me, why should I spare you?" Ames asked coldly.

"Because I was forced to work for them. I'm not a criminal my lord. I never wanted to join them, nor any gang in this city. I did all that to save my sister and nothing else." Tears welled up in his eyes, his voice shook with helplessness and grief.

"I was framed by a noble and was about to be executed. He did all this to get my sister as his plaything. I couldn't endure anymore. I killed the noble and his guard, and ran away with my sister to this cursed criminal land."

"The first person to take me under his wing and protect me was Tiger himself. I thought he was a great man, but later I realized I had been trapped in his schemes. I used to work as an accountant for the noble I had killed, and Tiger wanted to know about the assets and the insides of the noble's mansion so that he could steal everything."

"I was helpless and did everything just as he asked, because I needed money for medicines. My sister is always bedridden; I need the nutrient potions to keep her alive. I really have no loyalty for the bloodbands, nor any greed for my life. It's just that, if I die, my sister won't be able to sustain anymore."

"I beg you, my lord. Please don't kill me. I'll tell you everything and leave with my sister. Please spare my life." He slumped down on the floor, whimpering, with tears soaking his tunic.

The air got overwhelmed with sadness, his cries made Akari, Lamia and even Carmilla tear up. Ames had a stoic face on the outside. But inside, he too was sighing in sadness.

After cultivating the Chakra system, his senses had sharpened a lot, he somehow sensed the emotions a person was feeling and conveying in front of him. And right now, Bone was not lying.

"Alright. I won't kill you. But that depends on how truthfully you answer all the questions."

Bone couldn't believe his ears. He wiped his tears and stood up. With a determined face he stood in attention. "My lord. Please ask, I'll tell you everything that I know."

Ames nodded at Lamia. She then moved forward and stood beside him. With a note and a pen, she then looked at Bone, ready to throw one question after another.

"Tell me about the total number of members, the higher ups, their names and cultivation levels along with the leader, Tiger."

"Let me first explain the area distribution of the inner zone first. It will give a better understanding of the workings and it will be easier to explain everything later." Bone started enthusiastically, the fear and hesitation gone. He transformed into a professor ready for an important lecture.

"The inner zone is a square shaped area. It is divided into five districts. The north, east, south, west and the central district."

"The north district is the Hound's area, it is the gambling den, all his income comes from the gambling houses. The West is ruled by the Fox. It's the red-light district. So, she is also called the pleasure queen."

"The south is the Snake's area. It is the potion factory of the whole city. He has everything from poisons to healing drugs. Some even say he was the one behind the assassination of the king of Muguvelen a few years back."

Ames and Lamia's eyes opened wide in shock. The Muguvelen still blames the Regelak kingdom for this assassination till this date. But who knew that the real culprit was a gang leader of a criminal organization.

"Finally, the Tiger, he rules the Eastern district. Theft, murder, assassination, you name every criminal activity and he deals with it. Many nobles had employed his services during the time I was in the main headquarters."

"The hound's gang is called the Barbarics. Fox's the Red lips. They are all women. The snake's is called the Violet orchids and as you know the Tiger's is the bloodbands."

"What about the central district then?" Ames asked curiously.

"I don't know much about that. But just this that it is a neutral area, there is nothing other then a single tower there. No leader enters nor dares to claim that land, leaving it just as it is."

"There are some rumors though, that there is an ancient Demon that resides there. His eyes keeping watch over the whole city. And he is also the reason that other kingdoms don't invade this criminal city, fearing his prowess."

Ames and Zankoku were taken aback as both of them looked at each other in shock, confusion and curiosity heavy on their faces.
