The surrounding turned black and white in front of Luke's eyes. When he channeled more prana to his eyes, he saw a trail of energy moving forward inside.
"I think I've got something. Let's move."
Shane and Ruby stopped their fight as all three of them then started following Luke.
After moving for about half an hour and following the trail of energy, they finally arrived in front of a circular portal with energy rotating inside, like water forming a whirlpool.
"Wasn't this easy?" Shane asked, a bit doubtful.
"It's easy because of Luke's skill. You think the others would have arrived so easily?" Noah said.
"That's true. But we didn't meet a single team on the way. At least we should have seen someone from the previous teams to arrive earlier." Ruby said, skeptical.
"I saw two teams in a different tunnel. This dungeon is like a maze. There are various routes. And the portal is not at the end of these routes but somewhere in the middle. Since we took the straight path, we arrived early." Luke said as the two of them nodded in understanding.
"What are we waiting for? Let's move in." Noah said excitedly and moved forward.
"I'll go first." Noah looked at them as he volunteered and passed through the portal.
"You two go ahead. I'll go last." Luke said.
Shane and Ruby nodded. They held each other's hand and both of them passed through the portal at the same time.
Luke sighed and moved inside too. After stepping inside, particles of light passed through his side so fast that they formed a glowing trail. He was pulled forward with immense force as his body moved itself.
With a zoom Luke was out of the portal and stepped on the hard rocky surface on the other side. The three of them stood in front of him with their back towards him. Even though he came out, they didn't turn to look at him, as they were gazing in front of them with their mouths open.
The realm was a barren land filling with mountains and rocky ground. Wherever the eyes went, not a single plant or tree could be seen. The sky was red in color and not a piece of cloud could be seen. There was no sun nor a moon to be seen above, but only a single star at the horizon.
"What is this land?" Shane asked in shock.
"I don't know. But if there's a hell, it would look like this." Noah said.
"Alright guys! We're in a competition. And this is a point based one, so the more the merrier. Let's move out and try to find the cryo lilies as they have more points, and on the way if you meet any beasts, collect the mana stone from it. Every point is important." Luke said in a serious tone.
"How should we move? There's no sun or moon to select a direction here." Ruby said.
"Let's assume that star to be the sun, and towards it is east. So, I'll go north and you guys go south." Luke said.
"That's good." Noah said as they all nodded.
"Hope no one has to use the talisman or the compass within the month of the tournament. I'll see you guys again." Luke said with a smile.
"The reward is ours. Let's wipe the lilies clean from this realm!" Shane yelled in excitement as they all chuckled and saying their goodbyes, moved opposite to each other.
After walking a few meters, Luke stopped on his tracks and then started channeling Prana, as it covered his whole body.
"Let's train in the meantime." Luke thought as his body started levitating up. A transparent sphere of prana formed around his body as the prana kept flickering on its surface.
Prana focused on his legs as Luke started moving forward in the air. His body parallel to the ground and he slowly flied in the air, his speed increasing with every passing second and he finally zoomed away, leaving a sonic boom.
*****
Holy kingdom of Aravila, the capital holding the main temple of the Holy temple.
Raguel was moving through the temple hallway as he arrived in front of a huge golden metal door with carved out designs of Goddess Irene blessing a devotee on the ground on her knees.
He knocked on the door two times when the door opened by itself. Raguel slowly walked in. inside was a wide circular hall with a beautiful marble floor.
There were earthen lamps all around the edges, and at the center was a circular depression, where a beautiful woman in her forties, wearing a pristine white robe with golden patterns all over and her hair and pupils golden in color was sitting crossed legged, surrounded by many cylindrical earthen lamps.
Raguel walked towards her and kneeled on the floor on one knee when he reached near her.
"I greet the saintess."
She slowly opened her eyes when she heard his voice and with a wide smile she spoke to him.
"You can call me mother when we're alone Raguel."
"I want to discuss something with you mother." He said in a serious tone.
"Speak son." The saintess said, her face getting serious too.
"It's about the death star mother. Is the prophecy the holy saintess then made, really true?" He asked.
"She was called the Holy Saintess Raguel, not just saintess, it's because she had earned that title. She was blessed my Goddess Irene herself. Every word she said is true and is going to happen in the near future."
A deep sigh escaped Raguel, he lifted his head up and looked right at her eyes.
"I think I've met the Death star recently."
The saintess's eyes opened wide in shock. Raguel was her own son, she knew he wouldn't talk of these things such lightly. There was definitely truth in this matter.
"How did you reach this conclusion?" she asked.
"When I used my Holy vision, I saw a trace of dark energy hidden inside his body. It was like the abyss, the moment I put my eyes on it, it awakened and wanted to devour me, the ring of life broke, saving me in the process." He showed a broken ring to her.
The ring was given to him by the saintess, it was a one time use artifact that can deflect a life threatening attack once and protect the wearer. Since it broke, then it was no small power that had laid its eyes on Raguel.
"But it's not enough to prove him to be the death star."
"He also has two runic rings on his back."
The saintess was taken aback now, this was definitely a valid sign of being a death star.
"It still won't be enough to prove that he's the death star. You have to do some more investigation. Keep an eye on him. if he really is the death star, he'll show his true nature sooner or later."
"I understand mother."
"What is he called?" the saintess asked.
"Luke Blackstone."
