Alex explained simply. "I am actually a security guard by profession. My friend Shivam had a terrible stomachache today so I agreed to deliver this takeaway order for him as a favor."

"Oh I see." Kavya nodded like a bird pecking at rice, understanding dawning. Her mind was already racing with possibilities.

While Alex was going through the delivery procedure on his phone suddenly inspiration struck her. This handsome stranger could be the perfect solution to her problem!

She blinked at Alex and said with a mischievous smile "Hello handsome guy. Can you possibly do me a huge favor?"

Alex looked curious. "What kind of favor do you need?"

Kavya immediately adopted a pained expression and complained dramatically "My elderly father and mother are pressuring me far too much to get married. They have arranged a blind date for tomorrow that I absolutely do not want to attend. Can you pretend to be my boyfriend for a short while? Just to get them off my back?"

Alex blinked in surprise but then shrugged casually. "Sure. I can do that."

Pretending to be a boyfriend?

This situation seemed quite fun and entertaining actually. It would certainly break up the monotony of his security shift. Why not help someone out?

Alex then asked for clarification. "Do you need me to do this right now?"

Kavya's eyes lit up with excitement. "Yes! Right now immediately! Of course I will not let you work for free. I will give you a substantial payment afterward as compensation."

Alex glanced down at his security uniform. "Do I need to change out of this security uniform first?"

Kavya shook her head enthusiastically. "No you should definitely wear exactly that! I am very satisfied with this appearance. It's perfect for what I need." The uniform would make her point even clearer to her parents.
