I Sell Bottled Water for Gold in Another World!

Chapter 118: Chairman Jonah Perils

As the people that were directly involved in the incident at the bar, Alex and the others were needed to head to the police station to give their official statements and file a FIR against him.

The group made their way out of the bar and into the parking lot outside.

Khushi had driven her own Mercedes to the bar that evening with her friend Riya, but now she has no such thought of founding herself her a car to drive back home.

She was currently far too curious about Alex and everything that had just been revealed about him in the bar.

But just as she was following them, she found Alex walking towards his public electric bike that he drove here.

She could not help but shout at them.

"Wait, wait guys are really going back on that?"

Khushi stared in confusion as she watched Alex not answering her instead just started up his bike and help Riya climb on behind him.

Seeing how Riya is sitting behind him so comfortably, she could not recognise her friend anymore.

She could not understand at how could the daughter of a billionaire would be content in riding around on a public bike of government instead of in a luxury car?

"The bike is actually really fun to ride Khushi, much better than the closed cars," Riya seeing her friend confused face said with genuine enthusiasm, clearly enjoying herself as she wrapped her arms around Alex's waist In a very intimate manner.

"We will head to the police station first, you came later on" Alex called out to Khushi over the engine noise, and then he drove off with Riya holding onto him tightly.

That left Khushi standing alone in the parking lot, feeling more bewildered than ever about what she had witnessed tonight.

——————-

Thirty minutes later, Alex and Riya arrived at the police station riding on the public bike.

Mr. Sinha, the general manager of Khapar Law Firm had already rushed there to meet them.

His efficiency in responding to Alex's call was very impressive, considering the late hour.

"Mr. Alex, are you alright? I came as soon as I got your message," Mr. Sinha asked with genuine concern in his voice laced with worry after all he has a full control on his job so quickly scanned Alex for any signs of injury in any way.

"I'm perfectly fine. The reason I asked you to come here is so that you can thoroughly investigate that guy's background and prepare to file charges against him in my name and the name of the firm."

Alex's tone was cold and businesslike, completely different from the casual way he had been speaking with Riya and Khushi earlier, he has no mercy for people like Jason.

A person like Jason had probably destroyed many people's lives with his unscrupulous behavior.

Tonight was just a normal behaviour of his, don't know what he might be doing behind.

It was time someone taught him a proper lesson about consequences of his actions.

After all Every Action has a equal and opposite reaction.

"Don't worry, Mr. Alex. Scum like this always have a history of illegal and criminal activities with them.

Leave everything to me here this time prosecuting cases like this is exactly what we Khapar Law Firm specialize in generally."

Mr. Sinha spoke with the confidence of someone who had handled countless similar situations before, and why not after all he is the manager of the biggest law firm of the city.

The investigative efficiency of Khapar Law Firm was truly remarkable truly indeed it is just not all boast.

In less than an hour, they had compiled a comprehensive report on Jason's entire background, family connections, and his father's business dealings.

Whether it was his likeness or his unlikeness all are mentioned from minor to major in great detail.

"Jason is indeed from a wealthy family. His father seems to operating Hussain Medical Equipment Company, which specializes in importing high-end foreign medical machinery and then selling it domestically at significant markups."

Mr. Sinha flipped through his notes as he spoke to Alex, clearly having done his homework thoroughly in detail.

"Here is an interesting matter that may require your attention, Mr. Alex.

It turns out that your medical facilities' largest supplier is actually Jason father's company.

Given tonight's circumstances, should we consider changing suppliers?"

Alex did not hesitate for even a second. "Make the change immediately, I will have in no way any contact with people like them."

Mr. Sinha just nodded he was not just Alex's personal legal advisor after all he is also the one who is managing the Alex's extensive financial empire-in-building, that he is slowly acquiring by his continued visits to Ancient world and Mr. Sinha is also the one who is maintaining all his business relationships across multiple industries.

"Understood completely, Mr. Alex. There are numerous medical equipment suppliers available in the market, including several that offer significantly better pricing than our current arrangement. I was actually planning to bring this supplier issue to your attention anyway, but given what happened tonight, the timing couldn't be more perfect." Mr. Sinha allowed himself a slight smile.

He understood the business world well enough to know that the relationship between suppliers and major buyers was fundamentally one of dependency.

If a buyer wasn't satisfied with one supplier's performance or behavior, they could easily replace them with any number of competitors who would be eager for the business.

Within just a few minutes, Mr. Sinha had made a single phone call that completely severed the business relationship with Jason's company.

One simple phone call—one single call that is all it took to determine the fate of an entire business operation.

The power dynamics at play were staggering what had started as a bar fight would now ripple through the business world with devastating consequences for the Jason's family.

"Also, Mr. Alex," Mr. Sinha continued, "I would like to recommend that we conduct a thorough audit of all our current supplier relationships. If this Jason's situation taught us anything, it's that we should be more selective about who we do business with.

Character matters, not just pricing."

Alex nodded approvingly. "That's exactly the kind of proactive thinking I expect from you, Sahil. Go ahead and initiate a complete review of all our business partnerships. I want detailed background checks on every major supplier and contractor we work with."

"Consider it done, Mr. Alex. I'll have preliminary reports on your desk within the week."

Meanwhile, Riya sat quietly watching this entire exchange, beginning to understand just how vast Alex's business empire really was.

The casual way he could eliminate an entire company's major revenue stream with a single phone call was both impressive and slightly intimidating.

She was starting to realize that her boyfriend's influence extended far beyond anything she'd previously imagined.

"One more thing," Alex added, "I want you to look into this Queen's Bar as well. If the owner's son thinks he can assault customers without consequences, there might be other issues with how they operate their business. Fire safety violations, liquor licensing problems, tax irregularities—I'm sure you can find something."

Mr. Sinha smile widened. "I'll have a team of investigators go over that establishment with a fine-tooth comb. If there are any violations or irregularities, we'll find them surely."

The conversation was interrupted when Officer Singh approached them.

"We're ready to take your statements now. This shouldn't take too long, given that we have video evidence of the entire incident."

They began to give their official accounts of what had happened one by one.

Jason had made the mistake of thinking that being the son of a bar owner gave him unlimited power to do whatever he wanted and now he was about to learn that there were somethings that he should never touch and in the hard way.

—————-

At the same time, across the city at Hussain Medical Equipment Company, chaos was erupting in the chairman's office.

"What! My son was arrested and taken to the police station? Why? What did he do wrong? And who the hell dared to mess with my family, dared to complain to the police?!"

Chairman Jonah exploded with fury when he received the news about his son's arrest.

After all, he was the CEO of a company worth hundreds of millions of dollars and a well-respected figure in Mumbai's business community.

He had worked decades to build his reputation and establish his position in the medical equipment industry.

But now, someone had actually dared to target his son?

To him this wasn't just an attack on Jason—this was a direct insult to him personally and everything he had built.

Chairman Jonah had barely set down the phone and taken a sip of his evening tea when the phone rang again, interrupting his angry thoughts.

"Boss, we have a serious emergency. Our largest client has just terminated their contract with our company," his secretary reported in a panicked voice.

"What!"
