THE GAMER'S POV: FROM TRASH TO SSS-RANK LEGEND

Chapter 124: Xar's Power!

"Sonic boom!" Blake clapped his hands loudly as he unleashed a massive shockwave towards Xar. Shockingly, the figure stood rooted in place, tanking the attack without even flinching. He didn't move an inch.

"Huh? I thought it was a powerful attack with the way you called it out. That's why I asked my friend to help me block it earlier, but it seems like it's nothing, huh." Xar muttered with an almost disappointed sigh, as if the effort had been a waste of his time.

'Impossible! How is this possible? This skill was able to throw Lyra and Tom away. It even managed to fling an A-ranked beast around, but it did nothing against him? What the fuck is he?' Blake thought, stunned. He held the sword Lyra gave him tightly, knuckles whitening, and it was at that moment that Jace finally arrived on the battlefield.

"What's the plan?" the blonde-haired fighter asked, his expression unreadable.

"Plan?" Blake repeated as he glanced at him for just a second. His veil kept swirling around the sword in his hand, amplifying its sharpness with each flicker.

"It isn't that strong without its beastly companion, so just fucking kill it!" he roared, and without hesitation dashed towards Xar like a predator going for the throat.

"Huh? I'm not strong without my companion? Tch! What an insult." Xar mumbled with a deep frown. In the blink of an eye Blake appeared in front of him, his speed almost on par with Vynn's, if not greater, and his sword came in hot and fast from the side at insane velocity.

"Is that supposed to scare me?" Xar asked. He lifted his arm, and immediately it began to change shape. Almost an instant later, his hand had transformed into a reddish bone sword, gleaming dangerously in the light.

CLANG!

A gust of wind blew around them as steel met bone in a fierce clash. Blake's eyes widened in disbelief. Even with his veil amplifying the sword's sharpness, it was doing nothing against the monstrous weapon in front of him.

'How is this possible? How can this beast be that str… oh shit!'

BAM!

Xar's inversed foot suddenly warped into a jagged bone boot, and before Blake could react it smashed into his abdomen with brutal force. Spit shot out of his mouth as the impact tore through his body.

His figure was flung away like a missile, crashing violently into a tree within the blink of an eye. The ground quaked slightly as the trunk split under the impact.

"Hmm. Weak," Xar commented coldly, his tone devoid of emotion. The word cut sharper than his bone sword.

Jace froze for a moment, his eyes darting between the terrifying figure and Blake, who was struggling desperately to stand with trembling arms.

Zen, who had been observing from the sidelines, felt his mind go blank. He couldn't even form words as he watched the scene unfold.

'Ability to change limbs into whatever bone weapon he wants? What the hell is this power? Who is he? How do I counter something like this or f… wait a moment! Does his ability work the same way as a Veil? If so, then I think I can help,' Zen thought, his gaze falling to his hands as possibilities spun in his head.

But before he could focus…

BAM!

A deafening sound rang out. His head snapped up just in time to see Jace skidding across the ground, dirt flying in all directions.

Blood trickled down his mouth in thin streams, and as he lost control of his body, he collapsed to his knees, coughing up another spray of crimson. Xar stood casually with his head tilted, eyes sharp, as if he hadn't even exerted himself.

"With the way you all spoke, I thought you would amount to something, but turns out I was wrong. This will be quick then," Xar said.

Without hesitation, he dashed forward with blistering speed, and in less than a second, he appeared directly in front of Jace. His hands had already reshaped into a sword, and he swung it down with full force.

Before Zen could move, someone else did. Like a blur of motion, Blake appeared in front of Jace, his sword already raised, clashing with Xar's in a sharp burst of wind.

Blake stood his ground, eyes locked on Xar with unyielding focus, his fingers clenched so tightly around his sword that veins bulged across his hand. The creature simply smiled at him, as if amused by the effort.

"Get away!" Blake roared. He smashed a kick at the creature with all the strength he could muster, but with nothing more than a flick of his wrist, Xar's second hand reshaped into a bone shield. The strike crashed into it, but Xar didn't flinch an inch as the shield absorbed the force with ease.

"Water Veil," Jace calmly called out as he pushed himself off the ground. Water swirled rapidly around his sword and feet, flowing like living streams. He bolted forward, his blade gleaming with rippling blue light.

"Flowing tide," he muttered as water whipped outward, coiling like a serpent before slamming into Xar's side. For the first time, Xar was forced back, his feet skidding a few inches across the ground.

'Hmm. Strong,' Xar chuckled inwardly, eyes narrowing.

Before he could fully regain his balance, Blake had already vanished into motion, his veil amplifying his speed until he became a blur.

His sword came slicing from the side with such velocity that the air around it distorted. Xar reacted instantly, his bone sword rising in time to block the deadly strike. Sparks flew as steel and bone clashed, the sound echoing like thunder.

Without wasting a heartbeat, Xar's other hand morphed into a bone spear, and he thrust it forward with terrifying speed. Blake's instincts screamed as he withdrew his blade in a blur and brought it up in front of the spear. The impact was so strong it rattled through his arms, sending him skidding several meters backward, boots digging into the dirt.

"Wheel of death!" Jace's voice rang from above. He descended in a swift arc, his sword cleaving the air. A massive wheel of water erupted from his strike, spinning violently as it hurtled toward Xar.

Without even glancing behind him, Xar sidestepped with casual precision, letting the attack crash into the earth. The impact cracked the ground apart, spraying rocks and dust into the air, and the force shook the battlefield like a small quake.

Blake refused to relent. As the dust swirled, he appeared in front of Xar again, striking diagonally with his blade at blinding speed. Each swing unleashed invisible slashes that tore through the air like whispers of death, all aimed to shred the creature apart.

Sensing the overwhelming danger, Xar immediately transformed both arms into bone swords, the reddish blades gleaming menacingly.

He swung them in rapid succession, intercepting each of Blake's invisible attacks with uncanny precision. His movements were so fast it seemed as though he could see the unseen slashes themselves. His body blurred in and out of sight as he shifted positions, the residual attacks carving deep scars into the ground where he had just stood.

After deflecting the last strike, Xar bolted forward like lightning. In the blink of an eye, he appeared directly in front of Blake, both bone swords already arcing in from opposite sides, their sharp edges promising to tear him apart.
