"Damn it!" the Poison Sorcerer cursed under his breath as he watched the poisonous creatures consumed by flames.
The Guardian God of Stone Spirits of Sanshi Village was known to the Poison Sorcerer, but he was seeing this fire-spouting stone for the first time as the Stone Shaman brought it out.
Seeing the Stone Shaman's weary state, it was clear that activating this fire-spouting stone consumed a lot of energy. The Poison Sorcerer gritted his teeth and took out a large pile of dried herbs and poisonous substances from the basket on his back.
As the Poison Sorcerer's lips moved continuously, ancient mutterings emerged. He released what he held, and the dried herbs and poisonous substances floated into the air, shattering and transforming into a dark green dust mist.
Within the dust mist, a powerful consciousness emerged as all the dust formed a human shape floating in mid-air, with the head of this dark green mist figure bearing three black holes.
"Lord Du Ten, please take action and destroy the Sanshi Tribe," the Poison Sorcerer said respectfully to the mist figure.
Du Ten was the Guardian God of the Poison Witch Race, and this apparition summoned by the Poison Sorcerer was just a weak avatar of Du Ten.
Even a weak avatar is not something a small tribe like Sanshi Village can withstand.
"Sacri...fice..." a hoarse voice from Du Ten echoed.
The Poison Sorcerer unwillingly pulled out a bone dagger and, without hesitation, stabbed it into his own heart. The blood within his heart flowed out through the hollow tube of the bone dagger.
As soon as the blood flowed out, even before it dripped down, it flew towards Du Ten.
As the blood loss increased, the Poison Sorcerer's complexion quickly paled. Watching Du Ten continuously devour his heart's blood, the Poison Sorcerer dared not speak out to stop or refuse, allowing it to be consumed.
What Du Ten devoured was not the Poison Sorcerer's blood, but the faith of the Poison Witch tribe that the Poison Sorcerer embodied.
The faith consolidated in the sorcerer, and as the totem and Guardian God of the Poison Witch Race, Du Ten only gathers the massive faith power of the Poison Witch Race during the annual sacrificial rituals.
However, whenever a Poison Witch Race shaman called upon it, it would devour the faith power consolidated on the shaman as a side benefit.
When the Poison Sorcerer was on the verge of collapse, Du Ten finally ceased devouring his blood, issued a satisfied sound, and turned towards the stone spirit of Sanshi Village.
The Poison Sorcerer tremblingly pulled out dried herbs from his basket, stuffing them into the wound in his chest, and his complexion rapidly returned to normal before the naked eye.
He used poisons to stimulate his potential in a short time, experiencing a brief resurgence.
Anyway, he was planning to switch bodies, so he wasn't worried if this one was damaged. He didn't believe that Sanshi Village could resist the avatar of the Poison Witch Race's totem.
As Du Ten approached the stone spirit, sensing Du Ten's proximity, the stone spirit quickly fell to the ground, gathering and hiding all its ominous power, appearing just like an ordinary stone.
As the Poison Creature passed over the stone spirit's head, it paid no attention to this yet unformed stone spirit.
The yet-unformed stone spirit was merely a stone; perhaps it could display a bit of divinity, but its essence was just a regular stone, perhaps harder, but to Du Ten, it was useless trash.
To consume the stone spirit for its tiny amount of faith power would cause this avatar to have indigestion, and the faith power from the Poison Sorcerer might not even be transferred back to the main body.
Du Ten ignored the stone spirit as the stone spirit dared not provoke Du Ten, such a powerful totem and Guardian God could easily annihilate its newly formed consciousness.
The Stone Shaman looked towards Du Ten, who was unfazed by the flames approaching him, with the song's rhythm in his mouth becoming urgent. He sliced open his palm with a knife, letting his blood drip into a medicinal pot.
The residue in the medicinal pot dissolved quickly under the influence of the blood, transforming into white smoke, spraying towards the stone in the sky.
The stone absorbed the white smoke, becoming even more scorching, like a red-hot iron ball.
The Stone Shaman clenched his teeth, spitting out a mouthful of tongue-tip blood which vanished in mid-air, and the scorching stone rapidly flew towards Du Ten.
Du Ten curiously examined the stone flying at him. He couldn't sense a totem's aura from the stone; it was just a lifeless object, not a totem of the Sanshi Tribe's rituals.
Boom! The stone struck Du Ten, erupting with violent flames, reducing the surrounding poisonous creatures to ashes in the fire.
"Hiss~" As the smoke cleared, Du Ten clutched the stone, the dark green hand burned by the stone emitted black smoke. Du Ten showed a hint of impatience, unexpectedly, this stone was so sturdy that he couldn't crush it.
The power contained within the stone was also surprisingly strong, enough to injure his avatar.
Whoosh~ The stone was thrown by Du Ten into the distance, disappearing into the dense forest.
Witnessing this scene, the Stone Shaman showed a bitter expression. It wouldn't be easy to retrieve the stone once lost.
Compared to the stone that flew who knows where the Stone Shaman was more concerned about the Du Ten before him, the totem guardian god of the Poison Witch Race, not something Sanshi Village could resist.
The village chief, under immense pressure, ran to the Stone Shaman's side and said, "Reinforcements from An Nan City have arrived."
The Stone Shaman glanced at the chief and, gritting his teeth, said, "Everyone flee to the back mountain, I'll hold off the Poison Witch Race's totem avatar."
"Shaman!" Xiang Cao couldn't help but call out.
"Xiang Cao, you've already learned everything you need to. If I die here in battle, you will be the next shaman of the Sanshi Tribe," the Stone Shaman said resolutely.
Sanshi Village, originally known as the Sanshi Tribe, was renamed after joining the Great Zhou Dynasty.
"Shaman!" Xiang Cao couldn't help but cry as she was pulled away by two strong villagers.
To Xiang Cao, the Stone Shaman was like her grandfather; from childhood to adulthood, Xiang Cao followed the Stone Shaman and was raised by him, and no one was closer to the Stone Shaman than she.
